What’s causing this??
Think its quite impressive that we managed to float around 97 for the latter half of the day, esp with buys:sells 2:1 or so. Onwards and upwards hopefully without too much of a retrace tomorrow.
LOL on the way back down now, no news any where as to why the rise all a sudden on a dull market day
CHRI55 JUST BOUGHT £2MILLION WORTH OF SHARES
Is this RNS spam going to last until then? It's so annoying.
The CEO of Stagecoach said it will be near the end of the year
They can, and are trading as different companies.
One would expect some sort of correlation, but the 2 trade in slightly different fields, sgc more locally fixed and nex longer trips so there individual value would rise and fall independently. I have stated recently that I wondered whether they are totally mirroring but until the deal is done ?????
There is no total guarantee the deal WILL go ahead I suppose ( look at cineworldcrecently) but there is no reason to think it won’t.
Nex currently 250.6, so x by 0.36 we get 90 so it’s currently spot on.
Hi all,
Sorry if a silly question, but does this mean that SGC will float around this price as this is the agreed merger price, or can it still move up or down…
Cheers
Nex dropped more than 3% today so sgc now mirroring the agreed merger price.
Do we actually know what the timetable is for the Merger yet?
Thanks…
If sgc can plug the staff shortage levels ( which it seems to be doing in my area ) they are well placed to lure and hopefully retain customers where train operators are losing theirs.
I fully expected 92p today and will sell half at 95 and keep remainder till nex merger happens. ( mainly because I bought a bit enthusiastically in the dip and although happy at the minute am a bit too heavy here) gl all in new year
Strong rise into close, over and above the morning movements of NEX. The merger deal sounds nailed on, you would think, so the ratio of 0.36 new NEX shares for every 1 full SGC share still seems appealling- at even 90p. Current NEX sp sees a SGC 'real' price of more like 92.5p.
Yes MP in retrospect I should have gone for 85p - never mind, my average is at 75p so very happy today anyway
gl
No chance of that 84p LOL. Zero. Go SGC!!!
Didn't get the orfer filled it runs till cob tomorrow I said I tried to add at 84p
Not sure why it’s not mirroring nex.
256p X 0.3 = 92.16p real value per sgc share
Almost hit 84p but not quite. No 84p order was filled today. You must have bought in a little higher then
Almost fell to 84p today, not keeping up with nex today, around 5p off
Not really MP - 84P bottom of the trading range for SGC todqy why would I try and add higher?
Gl dyor etc
Bit greedy, the 84p, I reckon. On the up again. This'll be 0.36 of a NEX share fairly soon and the shareholders or competitions commission won't stand in the way of the merger as it's great for UK business
Placed a buy order at 84p today to add to my holding with an expiry for cob tomorrow - more than happy to buy at this price - 6 months target for me is 120p - gla dyor and a Happy New Year to you all
Carrington…….Likewise, I have a good feeling about 2022 especially as well invested in some very oversold travel stocks. Once the nation is fully vaxed we all just need to crack on with life and holidays are going to be a big part of that life/mental recovery.
Talking of travel I have a double sector day ahead if me, shortly of to Geneva then a quick hop over to Palma before an empty flight back home……The life of a corporate jet pilot is never dull.
See you all in 2022.
Merry Christmas to all the SGC regulars and newbies - I am positive for SGC in 2022 - I think once the Omicron virus has played out with its milder severity we can get back to normality - buses in cities throughout the UK will be enhanced to fulfil climate change promises and the synergies between SGC and NEX will imo propel this share well north of a quid -
gla dyor etc
Good snippet. I started moving some stock away from US, Asia and China last month based on a gut feeling / uncomfortably overpriced stock. Time to invest back into the UK.
