Several countries have banned freight and passenger travel from the UK, hospital capacities here and abroad are already close to their limits and there is evidence that this variant was spreading exponentially *during* November's lockdown. The freight issue has actually prompted a COBR meeting tomorrow because of how significant it is. I think it is likely that more major lockdowns will be imposed over the coming months to limit this strain until more of the population is vaccinated.
I also understand that we have missed today's deadline for Brexit discussions, which means the European Parliament will not have time to ratify a trade deal this year; if this is a rigid deadline then no-deal is confirmed.
I think this massive amount of uncertainty + potential for major lockdowns will hammer the UK markets and transport stocks, unfortunately...
I’m hoping all the new restrictions wont have much effect here but what is the general thoughts?
Suppose if it does take another dip it’s another opportunity to top up would prefer the recovery to continue tbh.
GLA
London revenue is safe, it’s entirely related to operational performance not passenger numbers! GL
Not ideal will push the recovery further down the road.....
Another nice broker upgrade today
BANK OF AMERICA RAISES STAGECOACH PRICE TARGET TO 95 (80) PENCE - 'BUY'
I'm sure she will let us know that she purchased on Friday!!!
Only a few minutes to find out!!
The deal is a bad sign, if a deal was to be done it would be.
And now we are looking at Scottish independence.
Tomorrow is a potentially very bad day for UK share prices.
Thought you was waiting for a juicy return on Monday/Tuesday with your short? Now long;good luck for Monday!Lol
yeah, true, to be fair tweedledee96 it is a general market down turn.
a few of my shares are down and I am annoyed with myself.
wish i was in Stagecoach now as this will rocket in the next week.... oh well
Clairesmith
As you have been so kind to take time out of your busy life and to give us all your worldly knowledge on SCG for free I think it is only right that i return the favour. In case you haven't noticed the whole of the UK markets are down today on fears of a no deal Brexit. So the drop in SGC SP today has factored in a no deal scenario so if we don't get a deal the SP will not fall much more, but if we do get a deal which is very likely, then the SP will bonce back up. So I strongly advice you not to wait but to buy now as you will never see this share price this low again in your life time. Your welcome.
Please save yourselves, if you are in profit get out and wait to get back in when the price is cheaper.
Back to the 50s 40s then 30s.....
share only rise because of vaccine news, dropping back down now on realistic expectations of the UK economy
dont buy now, wait for the price to reset to the 60's, then yes buy and sit on till 2022 when the UK economy will start to recover
once again not sure why you are against cannabis, scared you might get high and have feelings?
anyway, price drop happening, near term, share bad
why would i have no credibility if I was promoting cannabis?
are you against people being able to choice what chemicals they consume, because that is a sad point of view from a controlling loser.
yes trapped on the island.
from 1 January 1973 until 31 January 2020, you could packed up and move to any of the EU countries without a visa and live there.
From the start of next year you have to get a visa to now live anywhere in the world outside the UK (if you are only a UK citizen).
UK only citizens are trapped here.
Trapped on this island,Really!!
look Moonman1977 as a business women doing business i have to get in the mist of the bull pen.
this share is linked to UK economy, as I have said all along, and now the Tories are trying to tank the UK so they have use their cash reserves to buy up stocks cheap. this was their plan the whole time, and little englanders fell for it.
no deal going, and they will blame the EU and spin the truth, while at the same time they will be buying everything like land barrons.
the best thing is now that people are trapped on the island they cant escape the price hikes.
Don’t get reeled in Beerstalker, Clemboy is just having a laugh...
he’s either on a wind up or just mad! Or both?
@Clemboy
I’m not certain by what you logic you conclude SGC is the best share to short in the event of a no deal Brexit. I hold a lot of different shares, and regardless of the outcome of Brexit negotiations, I full expect this to be a good and steady performer.
That’s right clemboy... so many folk in the U.K. will be waiting on the brexit outcome before deciding to buy their megarider on Monday!
Your hilarious, keep the laughs coming please!
Never seen this board have so many posts in one day before, it’s great.
Clemboy, have you forgot you changed your mind again yesterday when on another board you claimed you hadn’t sold SGC at 77 but had set to sell at 85p?!
You’ve lost the plot!
