Like you say midas ,no way would lornes mum sell if she was convinced she would make 2 mil in a few weeks time.then we have ed saying now theres only a slim chance leap will IPO later this year. It seems this is going nowhere this year.like forthewin says i can see alot of holders jumping ship on leap news, its gonna take some amazing news to convince them to stay.
Just joking with you reefles. But seriously. Lorne being in the know has told his mom to sell her shares in the 7-8p range when Ed is telling us the share price will be 23p by end of year. That’s over £2m his mom would lose if Ed is right. Lol. I thought he would have told her to hang on a few weeks. He’s a bad son. Pmsl.
I don't think that individual will be able to buy large volumes at the same price they sold at, even if they did have inside information, there isn't the liquidity in this stock for sustained buying it would seem for 7-8p. The problem is no one is buying due to no information for insiders or public
Sounds very plausible reefles. Like you say it’s all down to Leap. Lorne is in the know. Lorne knew it was the thing to do selling half his shares at 17p. He isn’t stupid. This isn’t going anywhere until Leap is sorted.
Is it that odd, Midas...? (1) it is repeatedly said on this BB that we are waiting for the Leap sale (2) the SP will not move significantly until the Leap sale (3) we all complain that Leap is taking too long (4) let's pretend, for the sake of a hypothetical, that Lorne is in the loop as to likely sale date
If he were being a devious little devil, and had access to all of Chrystal Capital's industry knowledge as well (via his role as Chair of Yooma), wouldn't it make sense for him to suggest to Mama that she sell SEED now, put her money into Yooma / Peridot / Change Agronomy (or whatever)... then buy back in to SEED before Christmas? There's not going to be more than a 10-15% shift in SP until we hear about Leap, and Mama Abony can surely make a better return elsewhere in a few months. We all could... except without the inside knowledge of when Leap will send the SP through the roof, we can't risk it. Right?!
how can he be granted shares from Leap while working for Seed Kierewiet, who would gift them to him, or are you saying get this deal done Ed and we will give you XYZ if a deal gets done form Leaps cut, anyway how much power do Leap have in the say so of a deal, Seed are the biggest holder then IMG so that doesn't leave a lot left does it, when you think about it Leap don't have much leverage at all do they.
It's possible Ed has been granted share options in Leap as part of his remuneration package as non executive director. This would mean he is actually more aligned with SEED shareholders than would appear on the surface. Just a thought...
I am a bit concerned that Lorne's mum has been selling her shares especially as Leap's IPO is supposed to be imminent and with Lorne still being a 'board observer' of Leap (so he knows exactly what's going on), but then it's difficult to second guess anyone's motivation for selling.
When marking your essay I did notice that you wrote ‘they have the balls to invest millions’ . I have to correct you and inform you that in fact it’s quite easy as it’s not actually their cash they are losing. - especially the likes of Ed who has nothing in here at all. So 1/10 for that effort. Homework for tonight. Write out 100 times. I WILL NOT BE AN ABSOLUTE TOOL ON THE LSE BB.
that's not a bad investment for someone your age 2003, hopefully you got in under 9p and you should be ok, as you will find out in a few years time of investing its always a good sign that at least the CEO has skin in the game, we all know he cant now but he could of that's the point, as for the rest of the board well we know the answer to that don't we, we only have a board selling or a board not interested of upping there stake, but as I've said Ed's on the hunt for a 20% investor lets hope he's got one in mind, only trouble is he might need him on the real stuff to get him to sign on the dotted line :-)
Well said. f'ing muppet invests a week ago and thinks he can tell us 5 years holders not to moan lol ..... **** show from the start and as soon as leap sold 90% are selling up and getting out for good!
Adam. They have made one decent return. A couple not bad. The rest absolute ****e. They need to have Leap IPO for well over £50m if they are to reach their well talked about £50m MCAP. As we have quite a bit invested in here we have every right to complain about the pathetic returns, you do not so fair enough.
You and Barwick are always harping on about the board buying shares. Today it's Mellons turn. Broken record. Let's be honest. These guys are growing a really good business. They've made some great returns on investments, and the odd poor one, but the fact is, they run the company, you don't. They have the balls to invest millions in startup companies and watch them grow. I know for a fact already that if Leap doesn't go for £50m you'll be all over the board like a rash showing how disappointed you are. It's easy critisising from your little chair in your bedroom Midas :). These guys do the real work and you're constantly picking. :)
Haha, 2003 that's hilarious! Kudos on such a self deprecating cultural reference - and so seasonal too!!
For those slower on the uptake, 2003 was quoting from a Halloween / Thanksgiving poem by Lydia Maria Child. It's an inspired choice, because we all know 2003 is a child and he's acting like a Child (as in the surname), whilst calling us children - and at the same time pretending he's old enough to remember the mid 19th century! Tip of the hat to you, young man!!
Over the river and through the wood— Old Jowler hears our bells; he shakes his paw with a loud bow-wow, and thus the news he tells.
Over the river and through the wood— when Grandmother sees us come, she will say, "OH DEAR, THE CHILDREN ARE HERE, BRING PIE FOR EVERYONE."
Over the river and through the wood— now Grandmother's cap I spy! Hurrah for the fun! Is the pudding done? Hurrah for the pumpkin pie!
