Expect volatility as short-term risk of global recession remains. Growth is slowing (stagflation) while inflation rises and rising dollar (expected to rise further) putting pressure on emerging markets. High global debt, commodity prices rising, supply shortages, Russia...what a mess.
Expecting possible further downside here in short-term. Will look to add in 8p range. Might put some profit in Tesla on the dip as a hedge after it drops further too. If you compare the chart with bitcoin it looks eerily similar at the moment- weird. Don't expect it to play out but possible Head and Shoulders pattern?

This is still pretty early days regarding this technology and we seem to be at the front of it so far.
One of those stocks I keep topping up on any weakness and happy to hold till we are 10 x this price which I think in the not too distant future we will.
Tech stocks are not flavour of the month so to counteract that bearish mood we need commercial contracts signed, delivered and reported to the market as per RNS.
Work with legislators raise the level required in standards and yet the markets still don’t get very excited.
Let’s hope ford & GM start shouting about it
Perhaps a contract update would have been better. Seems the sp is still in decline at the mo!?
Certainly seems the legislative, testing and grading systems are fully behind DMS/OMS as an absolute requirement.
This will support providers of such systems and SEE seem perfectly placed to assist OEMs......
Terry, I would like to think this would give the OEMs a clear 'nudge' in the direction of who should be given the order for the provision of DMS and OMS in their car models. Seems to me that they almost have no choice if they wish their cars to have a 'good' rating on safety. It is 'almost' mandated by the IIHS in the US and should help SEE greatly.
So is the next month bit referring to the 17th Feb when the ratings start?
Initially only Ford and General Motors will earn additional points in its 2022 vehicle ratings next month for driver monitoring systems, the magazine added. “Only GM and Ford prevented a driver from using active driving assistance if they stopped looking at the road,” it said.
No wonder Paul said in an interview only Be 1 or 2 suppliers in the future
Might even wake the likes of Tesla and other OEMs not in no board yet.
With only SEE making the grade so far it should wake up a few oEms.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in August opened a formal safety probe into Autopilot in 765,000 U.S. Tesla vehicles after a series of crashes involving Tesla models and emergency vehicles.
IIHS said in a statement that most current partial automation systems have some safeguards in place to help ensure drivers are paying attention but “none of them meets all the pending IIHS criteria.” For vehicle safeguards to do well under its planned new ratings “systems will need to ensure that the driver’s eyes are directed at the road and their hands are either on the wheel or ready to grab it at all times,” the industry-funded group said.
Partial automation systems may make long drives seem like less of a burden, but there is no evidence that they make driving safer,” IIHS President David Harkey said.

Interesting language, no "such as"
"The 'good' rating applied to partial automation requires features offered by the Seeing Machines driver and occupant monitoring system technology"
Reads like more leadership from SM
RNS
Paul McGlone, CEO of Seeing Machines commented: "This momentum is further confirmation that DMS and OMS technology is fundamental to safety on roads across the world. We welcome this news, closely following the bipartisan infrastructure legislation passed by the U.S Congress in November last year which includes key provisions on distracted and impaired driving that priortise DMS. We know that we will see driver and occupant monitoring system technology further cemented across the USA as a safety requirement, and look forward to continuing our work with IIHS and other transport focused bodies as they work to ensure that all drivers in America have access to this life-saving technology"
