They keep saying they don't need cash while everyone that has followed this company over the last 7 years knows it's a regular yearly occurrence.
I'm assuming the recent raise will have to factor/feature in our financial update? Therefore it'll be interesting to see the figure's, which I anticipate to be rather healthy considering all the Govt support locked in, the decent performance of the company, cost cutting initiatives and the recent raise. Would you all agree? Not sure if we will get the words - we don't need anymore cash though!?
My view is that Stifel procured a strategic investor who wanted 10% ,& believe in the great potential of SEE , & we may not have needed the funds right now but the opportunity to welcome a decent US investor had to be seized.I felt that a placing may be coming due to our recent SP performance but this is far better than an open offer & our new investor may like what they see & decide to buy more ( in the Market ) & our other key investors may also decide to retain their holdings by buying more shares ( in the Market). Results in a few days will be very interesting & if all positive & particularly if some "meat can be put on the bones" in respect of contracts , FY 21 forecasts etc I remain very positive that our SP may at very very long last , reward us all - including the doubters who still hold.
I believe it was a tactical raise, rather than a needed raise.
This is the reason it’s dropped to under 4p & probably the reason not had any confirmed $ in an RNS from 2 MOUs
Let’s hope this is the chicken or the egg. If they announced the $$ then 4.1p look silly so had to wait until this deal done.
So who is the Mystery buyer? If it’s an apple or amazon or google Iam happy. If it’s a mates fund then I won’t be as grateful.
Now SEE get in with news and let’s get it up to where it should be without all these games.
Shallwe
Until 28/10, the new II is not officially a holder so no need or can't name yet
Redditch. I'm not convinced that Google count as a 'US Institutional Investor'. Not just yet.
Without more detail on whether the cash was actually needed and who the investor was it's far too early to tell the impact. If cash burn had increased massively or contract payments were delayed then it's bad, if Google just bought in then it's probably positive.
The only good news is that it doesn't seem to have affected the SP as it's rising at the moment with quite a few buys coming in - up +2.5% at the mo.
For all the positives, and there are many, I feel very hurt. I was right in saying yesterday that it felt like an II is buying, however that wasn't the way I was expecting, so maybe LO realised that they were losing 10% and have started topping up again.
Maybe I should unfilter the green blobs and filter all the rest? Maybe not, but I'm truly disappointed, especially as they don't name them on the RNS. I assume that they need to announce it separately, in which case you would expect two RNS' in a row.
Strategic, happy with that.
They won't be lobbying to delay distracted driver monitoring
Well, it seems humble pie is dish of the day. Do those who doubted the fundraise was coming like it with or without cream?
Perhaps make them buy at a higher premium though.
It looks like people knew and walked the price down to buy back later, hopefully we get back up to mid 4’s or higher soon.
Seems like played well this time. Quick and strategic. What the hell they will be doing with all that cash I wonder, hmm? Too much cash is too spooky. Pmg will be giving it out for free.
It was worth scaring and shotting your pants for the last year about an upcoming fundraise.
No, dont buy at 2.45p cause there will be a fundraise...
SP above 7p is the next stop. I know its just my crystal ball on fumes.
Dont buy at 4p because they will fundraise next year too (...for 12p)
I do apologize garbage spammers, you were right about the fundraise.
What about Thatcham lobbying UK government....
In one week's time, UK govt along with UK insurers will decide to delay self driving cars from 2021 to .....Well, who knows when.
Nicely to coincide with results....
Well if it is strategic we must have enough money to break even and will that be conveyed to the market properly?
PM has been saying for a while that he wanted US ii onboard though in all fairness, so its good they have invested a large chunk of change and will have done their due diligence.
Just put a buy order in at 3.9p, looks like that was wishful thinking ...
I hope you are right Red...let's see w ho it is
Jimmy
Everything pointed to no need for additional revenue. Thinking about it, PM has said as much on more than one occasion. This is strategic, it smells, walks and feels like it. The identity of the new investor is the interesting bit
Cmon Terry...
Put yer usual +ve spin on that!......
Maybe Qualcomm Ventures ???

Standard here...
Clearly there is no new revenue coming in the near future. Hence the fundraise. Very disappointing
Us listing costs a fortune and takes a while, if they are going down that route then how long are you thinking of waiting.....i expect that some people who have been invested here for a number of years were sort of hoping that this would be done and dusted by 2022, a us listing, the cost and dilution and you better be prepared for another 5 years.
Mind you, that will suit this bod just fine because they will be multi millionaires by then:)
I would like to see a clear explanation from PM with reasoning. Fine if they need a bit more to get them there (we knew there was a small amount needed but thought they might be able to bridge it with a license deal or a loan). It's this site to licenses being a year or two out and getting ahead of it or are they just trying to get US investors onboard.
If it's US investors, is this the only time they are intending to dilute to do so? That's an important question. No point in getting 5 big investors if they steal our lunch money doing so.
