Shall we name them in the RNS then Ken, this new global T1 like we did with Veoneer when fat mike was here, it would give the price a boost 6 weeks before your ****ty placing?
No, we cannot, Imagine if Veoneer got hold of it about another collaboration like theirs with their main competitor at this crucial stage, we would be totally F*****. with the follow-up orders.
----
Our main competitors in this market include APTIV, Bosch, Continental, Denso, Magna, Mobileye/Intel (Vision software), Valeo and ZF.

That's what we 're here for!
If the case really ended up being the majority of tier 1's were using SEE tech what would happen to the SP if one of them put in a bid to takeover SEE ?
This could be massive !
Thanks JC brilliant work as usual
Top notch - JC.
schlem
Thats the way ive read it for ages, no coincidence so many staff headed to SEE unless planned.
Continental is a huge company, SEE isn't, which begs the question why would you choose to work for SEE rather than Continental if it wasn't for the fact the transfer of staff from Conti to SEE is strategic and some form of partnership?
JC - Yes, good find
JC, great spot that.
Pretty conclusive now I would say

The Jigsaw pieces we have so far in addition to SEE RNS statements as posted by GB2
9 perhaps more ( I will find you) senior Continental staff move to SEE.
In a similar time frame Key Senior Xilinx staff move to SEE.
January 03, 2018 media reports , 'Continental relies on Xilinx expertise for auto-driving computer platform'

That would tie up with Conti passing so many staff over to us. Seems like a plan made a while ago to me.
Who is this then if it's not Conti ET lad, they mentioned parts supplier so conti fits this very well. Problem is they will not name them.
Taken from the update in feb
Seeing Machines has recently finalised an additional collaboration agreement with one of the largest global Tier 1 automotive parts suppliers, paving the way for more in-depth technology sharing and collaboration toward additional OEM design wins, and demonstrating continued, successful growth of Tier 1 collaborations across the industry.
There was an overreaction from my side before. I really don't think Semicast is saying Continental has developed in house DMS, merely it has a system ready for use in the future. Just as Nvidia's system couldn't work without SEE technology, neither can Continentals DMS.
If anything, the Continental announcement is good news for SEE. Imagine Continental, Nvidia, Denso etc get asked to quote for an OEM's DMS system but all include SEE tech. So, OEM's only look at the Tier 1's and not what's behind the Tier 1's tech so SEE clears up. Yes, very good news for SEE.
Schlemeil,
Well if Conti did develop a safety DMS that would mean bad news for us because I want SEE to take 75% of the market. Go ahead filter me if that makes you feel better. I think you are one of those investors that only need to hear things that makes you feel good about your investment.
Exactly what Lewbo said.
We know we have 5 live RFQ awaiting decisions, one or more may be a win for Conti, same Veoneer, ditto Bosch, same Aptiv etc.
They will all be wins for SM. No one has an in house system that can compete with us so they use us.
When you use SM you must stop any inhouse programme on DMS , fact.

DMS at Work
Stage 1 - OEM chooses Aptiv with SEYE tech
Stage 2 - Drawbacks in SEYE tech become clear
Stage 3 - OEM choose Veoneer with SEE tech to replace SEYE tech
Tier 1's and DMS
Stage 1 - Tier 1 decides DMS is easy peasy and develops own in house DMS.
Stage 2 - Tier 1 realises DMS isn't easy and it's tech is pap
Stage 3 - Tier 1 goes to SEE, uses SEE DMS and markets as own DMS. Saves face.
Conti haven't won anything yet.
They say they will be in series production ready in 2021. What does that even mean.
Until Conti say they have won an OEM design win then relax. Having said that if Conti do say they've won a DMS win I expect SEE to issue an RNS at the same time.
He is but it would be ironic if it was us and the company forgot to tell us.
I dont know how many times info has been found by this board and the company tells it way later if at all....but im used to it these days and immune to getting the hump about it!
You're a drama queen. Filtered
Major development here. Looks like first Tier 1 developed standard safety DMS. Should meet any NCAP testing protocols. DW8 probably looks a lot like this. Other OEMs now have access to a standard DMS solution.
Semicast Research
Bad news for us.
