Could we be in Apples eye a very appealing thought this report suggests they buy out a company on a regular basis but dont like paying top dollar compared to other big names.

If we are on their radar who knows but like too think if someone makes a move for us others will follow, my shares are for sale but in measured quantities above what we sit at right now .
I have this dream that a tug of war would ensue for us in many multiples of 10p.
On Thursday the US Patent & Trademark Office published a patent application from Apple that relates to an eye tracking system which is going to play a key role in any future mixed reality headset. We've posted at least a dozen patent related reports covering different aspects of a future eye tracking / eye gaze system over the last 15. Below are just a few of the reports that we've posted.
01: Apple Introduces the use of Neural Networks to advance Eye and Gaze Tracking in a Future HMD
02: Another Dimension of Apple's Eye Tracking Technology reveals the use of Biometrics and Machine Learning
03: Apple Reveals Advanced Controls for their Future Head Mounted Device that will include Eye Gaze, Siri, Touch & more
04: Apple is Considering the use of Eye-Tracking & Gaze Controls with iDevices & Head Mounted Display Devices
05: An AR Smartglasses patent from Apple Surfaced today covering an advanced Eye Tracking System
Apple's latest eye tracking invention covers dual eye tracking cameras and an illumination source that emits infrared light towards the user's eyes, and diffraction gratings located at the eyepieces. Our report covers only the basics of the system. For greater details you'll have to review the patent filing that we link to at that bottom of the report.
So, what are Apple engineers focusing on in this invention that could be coming to Apple's future HMD? It starts with patent FIG. 9 below which illustrates a side view of an example Mixed Reality headset (HMD #200) that implements an eye tracking system. The eye tracking system may, for example, be used to track position and movement of the user's (#290) eyes (#292).
In some embodiments, the eye tracking system may instead or also be used to track dilation of the user's pupils, or other characteristics of the user's eyes.

Amid a flurry of leaks and rumors surrounding Apple's upcoming mixed-reality headset, a recent report has placed the price of the device at $3,000.
JP Morgan explains that the high retail price is partly due to the cost of the headset's bill of materials, which "alone may exceed $500." The Information's report claims that the headset will be equipped with a range of expensive high-end components, including two ultra-high-resolution 8K displays, more than a dozen cameras for tracking hand movements, and advanced eye-tracking technology.
The expected price would make Apple's headset a high-end, niche product. The Information says that Apple is setting an internal goal of shipping only 250,000 units during the first release year, which according to Bloomberg, would be equivalent to less than one headset per day per retail store.
At a $3,000 price point, Apple's headset will be far more expensive than those from rivals. Facebook's Oculus Quest 2, an all-in-one virtual reality headset, costs just $299 by comparison. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman remarked that the price puts the headset on par with other more expensive Apple products, such as the $5,999 Mac Pro desktop computer.
Bloomberg recently explained that Apple is planning to launch a AR/VR headset as a "pricey, niche precursor" to a more ambitious AR glasses product that is set to follow at a later date. Reliable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said earlier this month that Apple will unveil an augmented reality device at some point in 2021, and JP Morgan speculates that the launch date will follow in the first quarter of 2022.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon reference design will play a major role in these upgrades with its latest XR platform offering twice the CPU and GPU performance, four times more video bandwidth, six times higher resolution compared to its previous XR platform. It also includes four external cameras, two RGB cameras for MR experiences and two for head tracking, which can also be used to generate accurate depth maps, an additional camera for facial and lip tracking or a second monochrome camera for controller tracking and an IR emitter for hand tracking and head tracking with simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) to coexist.
One new feature that has been introduced to enterprise AR glasses due to COVID-19 is the integration of thermal imaging solutions in these devices to equip the enterprise, especially healthcare and frontline workers, with a means to monitor body temperatures from a distance.

Though Google pulled its consumer version of the AR glasses, it has been experimenting with enterprise versions for businesses, such as Samsung and Volkswagen, to use in industries including logistics and manufacturing.
That’s why it is releasing a new version, named Google Glass Enterprise Edition 2, which will cost $999 . The new glasses are built on the Qualcomm Snapdragon XR1 platform, featuring a more powerful processing unit and a new artificial intelligence (AI) engine. Google says this will enable enhanced performance and advanced machine learning capabilities.

These designs supported hand tracking, eye-tracking, and magnetic controller tracking. Qualcomm also claims to have a solution for cloud-rendered VR over a 5G network using their latest chipset, which the company calls “boundless XR,” a processing sharing strategy introduced by the company in 2019.
