Tesla Autonomous driving can do a lot of cool stuff.
Level 5 is all about Edge Cases. Edge cases are the things humans are really good at and AI is capable of handling if it is programmed with the Edge Case - has learned the edge case - and knows what to do in that particular scenario.
For example 98% of driving autonomously across USA has been doable for 20 years.
The last 2% - well that's a different story. Edge Cases you see, they make all the difference.
The market hasn't really caught onto that.
This is a pretty good summary:

Also.
We don't know if SEE will ultimately succeed - we can't be sure.
What I am sure of - is that drivers are going to be needing to pay attention for at least another 20 years - for at least 2% of the time.
The thing is - that 2% of the time is when accidents might happen.
Terrym - I think you should add FCA. No point in bringing out a new Ram, or Jeep, if the market has been cleaned up with vehicles sold by Ford or GM. They must be launching in the next couple of weeks or it will be too late.
Thats a fair point Phil, however i don't want to tie my money up for another 4 years with this jam tomorrow outfit.
I may do a quick trade here or there ST but not at these levels not at this present time. I feel this will dip sub 3p.
New car registrations down 50%.... fleet not having shown the remotest degree of growth over the last 6 months....Australia experiencing increased CV cases...... I feel SEE will be requesting another cash injection soon.
I don't want to be holding a stock when a fundraise gets announced and it tanks 20 to 30 percent.
Arm or mobileye weren’t shouting or marketing much either, I wasnt researching them so knew nothing and didnt make a fortune from their acquisitions like many other shrewd investors who bought in early, sound familiar?
The only news that will come out of here is some more imminent AIM BS just before the begging bowl appears again.
Smokey
You obviously want to get back in. What your forgetting is.
1. Ford F-150
2. Mustang
3. Bronco - tbc
4. Merc S Class
5. If NSW goes into a 2nd lockdown 75% of Aus/NZ still not in Lockdown
6. NDAs are the opposite--means news you cant talk about or there wouldnt be a NDA in the 1st place.
7. The biggest sector is Events Industry
8. Airlines are starting to resume. Ive booked a Vegas trip & Europe trip.
9. Cars and trucks still be around.
Iam sure news be out soon enough though.
Go on. For fun. I'll guess you are planning to buy at 3.11p. Did I win?
Ah. Down near your planned entry point are we Smokey?
New car registrations are down 50% year on year...
Has anyone stopped to think what effect that will have on projected volume based contract revenue?
Add to that
1) NSW will likely enter lockdown imminently.
2) We are involved in the very sectors most badly hit by CV.
3) Fleet is f*xed not fixed.
4) NDAs mean no news anyway.
5) Businesses with a lot more cash and demand than SEE are currently going to the wall.
6) No one trusts a word that comes out of PM's mouth anymore
Ross
Er, SEE has done the old number at RFQ/RFI stage and it didn't go too well. Early 2019, when SEE were probably starting the placement process, in its trading update it said 6 were at RFQ stage (and hoped to complete by 30/06/19) and had sight of 5 more before the year end and I believe we're still waiting for 3/4 of the first lot and all of the last lot (last BMW extension was totally unexpected I think) so that didn't manage people's expectations very well.
As for the imminent Aviation licencing deal.....
But, yes, PR etc is rank. The fanfare of a new US broker but no one told them, a note is usually required. And so on......
People have woken up to the facts.... Thats why it's at 3p.....
Ross
You summed it up wonderfully. Perception, image & profile can be achieved fairly easily. We have a marketing Company that dont market & a USA broker that dont broker. Musk would of sacked them both iam sure.
As you say we know we under NDAs so you can say alot without saying nothing. If I was kicking the marketing people I would be doing a few simple things to keep us in the news more regular.
1. Monthly updated Fleet figures with interviews from the good distributors, a picture or video of a techie installing.
2. A picture of a auto techie at a computer with a story about what they working on without naming names.
3. A instructor going through the results with a pilot explaining the eye tracking results.
CMD was a great success so more needs to be done for sure.
And Old fool your spot on. We can turn a bad RNS into a terrible one & a fantastic RNS into an ok one. Where was the interview with Paul after the USA legislation RNS?
Lets hope people wake up to the facts.
Exactly Phil... but just for accuracy the first Tesla rockets did crash into the sea.
Tbh SEE should not be mentioned in the same breath as Tesla (unless they supply them with something), they should just learn how to do PR from them.
RossC I agree except if SEE are attempting a high % of market domination. If I read between the lines correctly SEE have the American market sown up by allowing those companies bragging rights over their own platforms by NOT allowing any sort of agony on NDA. Perhaps they are attemting the same with The German market and hoping for a couple Jap manufactureres as well. Shareholders may have to wait until financial projections can be announced as that will not breach NDA, but will satisfy PI's. What SP if SEE can give a great earnings forcast in August?
SEE's PR is dreadful and the last RNS was a failure in bland understatement of positive news.
Tesla are on the road and send rockets into space that can be reused, he walks the walk.
We have an imminent aviation deal a year ago and are in a Cadillac that is not being made anymore.
That’s funny - that’s exactly what I was saying a week or so ago.... But I won’t bring that up again.
Seeing machines do a very good job at doing a very bad PR job. It’s like being the prettiest girl/guy in the club and being locked in the toilets.
You don’t have to jeopardise NDAs to make the company look good. Just give an update on the number of models we are associated with, the number of RFQs we have out there (auto/aviation), the number of vehicles we could potentially be in. Tell us how mining is going, how many fleet numbers we have, how many aviation companies we are working with, put out some tweets, get in some magazines, tell us about the buses in the UK, the trams in London, do some investor roadshows, What’s the US broker doing, staff in/staff out, director buys, $5m received, make up a story that we’re going onto the FTSE....
Just anything to generate some momentum and shinazzle... do a Tesla.
And there ends the rant
Wilson 63, I’m not sure your figures are correct... if Tesla only made $1.1 Billion yesterday then they could surely have only bought half of us!
So with one days profit he could have technically bought us , unreal.
Not a bad days work. Musk actually ended up $1.1 billion richer than he woke up. Yes £850 million in one days trading. So goes to show the right PR bumf & Codswallop can send your stock soaring.
You have to admire Musk there are some similarities with SEE! No Iam not crazy.
1. Have a respected product
2. Over the coming years will see both products on most roads.
3. Both not made a profit yet.
4. Both highly respected by their peers.
5. Both not paying a dividend
That’s where it ends unfortunately. I think there’s a lot to learn from Musk.
Tesla & Musk are great at is tech exposure, Marketing, international exposure, image, controversial, head line grabbing, perception.
Tesla is one of the world’s most innovative companies, specifically for the purpose of building Tesla’s ability to win support from stakeholders — innovation capital.
How do innovators build up their innovation capital. Innovation capital consists of four factors:
1.Who you are (innovation-specific human capital) — your capacity for forward thinking, creative problem-solving, and persuasion.
2.Who you know (innovation-specific social capital) — your social connections with people who have valuable resources for innovation.
3.What you’ve done (innovation-specific reputation capital) — your track record and reputation for innovation.
4.The things you do to generate attention and credibility for yourself and your ideas (what we call impression amplifiers). Politicians with political capital can get others to join them in pursuing their objectives; in a similar fashion, business leaders with innovation capital can attract the resources needed for innovation to flourish.
As investors we want to see a return. Do we care if we get to 300p before making a profit? No.
I think we could learn a lot from Tesla.
We need a person like Musk.
This is categorically a load of rubbish. Elon the ultimate Master of Marketing, and this is just another one of his tongue and cheek remarks to get Tesla in the headlines.
We know that no OEM or AV company is anywhere near level 4 let alone level 5.
Happy Friday
Level 5 makes good headlines, DMS doesn't?

Its crazy.
Musk atm is $387 million richer than he woke up so far. And thats on $10 rise so far.
His 21% now worth nearly $55 billion today.
Not bad for a Company made $862 million Loss in 2019 & $1 billion loss in 2018. He even said will never pay a dividend lol
Good luck to him but the Worlds gone mad.
