Watching the news and Covid seems to be back front and centre.
Also (purely IMO) it shows that the 1st generation vaccines were nothing more than a temporary stopgap.
There could be renewed interest here IMO.
Chester, thank you so much for your useful comments. SC may have the generic covid answer. That will be an outstanding outcome. Again, thanks for your feedback.
Hi chester, certainly looking that way, even more now as there is less news abut Ukraine on a daily basis. As has been said here on many occasions we are entering into what should be a very important H2 period for Scancell
Hi Iofas
The original plan was to do a Covidity Booster trial in the UK once the phase 1 part had been completed in South Africa but in March the Cape Town trial was given approval to change to a Booster trial.
I'm not exactly sure what our submission in the UK to the MHRA will look like but if the trial data is solid it would probably mean a fast track to starting the UK arm of the Covidity Trial as a Booster.
If the gathered data shows that Covidity prevents infection via dual action against both Spike and Nucleocapsid we will have the beginnings of the much sort after Universal Vaccine.
The current mRNA vaccines can only target one Spike Protein with BionTech and Pfizer now looking to produce multi-target vaccines which are always reactionary responses to breakout mutations. As we have seen Pfizer have announced a new Vaccine aim at the original Omicron strain but we are already having to deal with two or three mutations later, Omicron B.4 and B.5.
If the Scancell Immunobody targeting does produce an effective attack against the Nucleocapsid we could leapfrog ahead of those companies solely pursuing mRNA vaccines.
All to play for as Covid begins to rear its ugly head again.
Chester.
Anything may happen, but broadly looking like it could be 'right place, right time' for Covidity.
Iofas, I have not kept up with recent news, but originally there were nit enough unvaccinated to run a trial in the UK, and CT1, part 2 was targeted as a booster jab.
I would be happy to volunteer for scancells jab as someone who has to date not had covid.

It appears that a stronger affirmation is embedded in the interview (with Sky) comparing the content to what was published in the RNS gives the impression that LD comments are more bullish.
Can someone please comment on the different covid trail planned to be executed in the UK, what is the gap between the planned on in the UK in comparison to the trail that is ongoing in South Africa. Thanks and GLA
I’ve pinged the journalist more than once, just to point him to RNS as they’ve landed. Not received any response but didn’t expect one. It would not surprise me at all if Sky are following progress without my signposts.
Would be nice if the journalist followed up on the story !!! As now in trial
On my book that’s a cautious bingo…LD said “"What has happened was predictable," she exclusively told Sky News”. That is a strong message that we are on the right path to get a solid vaccine and a well deserved valuation.
