Ivy, Chester.
You have both summed it up really, so where to next.... win or lose I guess... that's it really.
I'll stay in the win category for now and may be proved wrong, but I can live with that.
Surely you can see the science regarding Scancell though, it is something that no other can replicate at the moment, so could be a really good gamble/investment, despite all the negative posts.
Time will tell though
ATB
Ivy,
Evening.
If the science fails, we all lose our money.
If the science succeeds we may or may not lose our money. It will depend on how much money was needed to get it to succeed.
Evening RR I would say the 2 issues are very connected.
If it proves that SCLP makes a big contribution towards battling cancer everyone will be handsomely rewarded.
If most lose all their money I guess the science will have failed to make a big contribution.
Hi Bunsie
Comparing SCLP to an Oilie was just a way of explaining the market reaction the day an RNS was released saying that the SCIB1 plus Keytruda had eradicated 55% ++ of the target cancers. The SP would jump upwards on the pandemonium.
The point being that this share will not progress sedately in well defined increases with the BOD driving the company ever forward. It will bounce around and then a positive RNS it will double or treble or more.
"Sentiment is All' .........
the slogan from a tv series called 'The Last Scancell'............. : )
Chester.
Chester,
Just to clarify my position on Scancell before it goes any further.
Scancell IMO is further advanced and unique on it's IP than all of the major players, GSK, etc, who are far bigger than Scancell. We have something which the big guys will really want and cannot produce, so please don't think that I am attacking Scancell.
This little Bio really has something special and done on a very small R&D budget.
Timeline wise, yes agree this R&D takes a while, so that is why I am happy to hold, top-up, and wait.
Best regards
Bunsie
Chester,
You do put things into focus, thank you.
I do struggle sometimes with Scancell, as they are not yet producing any real income, I do see massive potential and that is why I am invested here.
I would not liken Scancell to the Oilies though, I did very well on Rockhopper, but just look at UKOG, of course UKOG could turn the corner, but maybe by then we could all be electric.
Scancell is IMO quite different.
ATB
Now....
More importantly regarding Scancell, what could Plan B be??? any thoughts beyond my limited brainpower?
Don't think it will come to Plan B though!
I have never heard such a load of nonsense.
Our individual investments in Scancell could turn out to be Charlie Wonka's Golden Tickets the day positive data is announced on either SCIB1 or MODI1.
The price would go from whatever it is that day , let's say 15p to £'s? and if a large Pharma company decided they wanted the whole IP it could be 10's of £'s per share.
Scancell can be likened to an oil discovery, the day the oil starts to flow the value becomes many times the SP.
And, it is just a Matter of Time, anyone who appreciates the time journey from discovery to licensed drug will tell you that 15 to 20 years is not unusual.
Some on hear think it should all be hurried up to suit their wishes or circumstances.
Clap trap of the highest order .
Chester.
Ruck,
Fair enough on that statement, I take my hat off to you on treating cancer.
ATB
Inan,
“ there is always a plan B”
Care to enlighten us as to what it might be?
Bunsie,
I wouldn’t go as far as to say “happy” to lose but certainly “prepared” to.
I’d would of course be happier if the investment came to nothing but a Scancell still made an important contribution to the treatment of cancer.
new ball ...........
England certainly need a plan B
there is always a plan B
Ruck,
FWIW, I invest what I am happy to lose if Pharma never wake up, it would sad though for everyone needing such treatments if Pharma choose to "pass" on Scancell. I have seen it happen before though, sometimes a product can be just too good.
I don't think there is a plan B, TBH
That was included in my list of questions.
Well perhaps the SP at 5p is ludicrously high in that eventuality.
The point I was making is that,we all hope the SP will at some point be based on the increasingly proven IP of the science.
Exponential SP rises would be nice.
Ray,
What about if no big pharma ever wakes up?
What’s financial plan B?
Otherwise, you are at the mercy of what is offered. Maybe that’s where the 22p figure came from?
You simply cannot predict the point at which big pharma wake up to deciding that Scancell's IP is potentially huge.
Will it be on a successful SCIB1 combo trial?
Will it be on great initial Modi1 results?
Will if be on a very effective Covid19 vaccine?
Will it be on a Biontech deal?
Will it be on an Avidimab deal?
Will they never wake up? (on the interest of balance)
The price is 5p because the price is being set by market buys and sells.
One day, we hope, it will be big pharma setting the price.
Ruck,
" Will that be super-ludicrous or Uber-ludicrous?"
I would call it a real steal!
“ why are you so determined to crash the SP ........”
1. I do not wish to crash the SP
2. I think you over estimate my influence.
Inan,
“Ruck .... i back my mouth by buying shares“
You really don’t, you buy an insignificant amount in an attempt to average down and avoid going to the AGM.
If you REALLY wanted to back your mouth, you’d sell your property, put a significant amount of money into SCLP and get a place on the board.
I don’t wish to see you destitute so let’s say just 50% of your property.
well if you select the Hold option ........... why are you so determined to crash the SP ........
Sorry I’m not selling to LL for 3p
Ruck .... i back my mouth by buying shares
Back yours by selling ...... please ... Scots Lass will take then ..
“ two options ...”
What about hold?
Three options lol!
