It was on the radio 4 news yesterday afternoon… it was concerning breast cancer and that fervour had demonstrated breakthrough results and that they were awaiting NICE approval.
Probably about 2 or 3 o’clock.
No one else finds it a bit amusing/suspect that that is Hadleys first ever post? Lol. Not "...can I get a bit more information about Scancell from you regular posters".
Maybe I'm getting too cynical in my old age.
Hadley - please, what program? What time ? Thanks.
Did anyone else hear the news on radio 4 yesterday concerning Yervoy ?
I that for MODI or SCIB Ruck ?
Likewise, I really struggle to find posts on there now due to its layout. A short summary without names/details would be much appreciated. Although details about the Scancell/drug side I guess are not a issue.
Ruck..good morning ..
I find those threads difficult to find...what topic area is the write up under ?
Yes, excellent points Moonparty...and to add... we are currently well funded at the moment.
I think a move to the Nasdaq would certainly re-evaluate the share and potentially make fundraising easier for further projects.
Nice write up on the MacMillan forum.
Not impossible Moonparty. I get the impression that, beneath the calm surface, legs are paddling furiously towards some material news. That would fit the bill very well.
Thanks Moonparty, much appreciated.
What you wrote here "...but Scancell putting a plan B in place shows they have an alternative, which will be invaluable in any negotiations."
For me it's easy to forget this, it's an important way to play a hand at the card table so to speak. Having the viable option to walk away from a deal usually always increases your value to the other party.
WTP,
My view - Scancell are planning to put scib1/iscib1+ through phase 3 in the not too distant future.
Hence the hires and reorg - to put it place the finances and the mechanics of the phase 3 trial.
Possibly via a move to Nasdaq and a fund-raising - fund-raising at a much higher price after SCOPE data readouts.
Of course, plans may never get this far if a buy-out or partnership is arranged beforehand, but Scancell putting a plan B in place shows they have an alternative, which will be invaluable in any negotiations.
All just my opinion!
Well I've been here 15/16 yrs and still hold and increased my holding. In my opinion the company has transformed itself and I could be wrong of course but feel we are appearing from the woods and see little point in departing the show early when so much appears to be going on !!!!!
I was just thinking of all the recent activities/events and wondered what the rest of you could deduce from it:
- Sath joining the board
- Financial controller role filled freeing up Sath for the heavy duty stuff (deals/partnerships we'd assume?)
- Recruiting for a CMC regulatory scientist
- Recruited another senior(?) senior scientist not long ago.
- Numerous presentations and conferences including the biggie at AACR.
Is that one day
1.50 p
2.£1
3. £8
Or is it a Genmab license platform. A share price with dividend
I have been holding a long time unfortunately my average is still underwater. Feel confident though is this
Just sitting back and dreaming TF. Hence the "One day"
Holding over 5 years from an early dabble at around 5 , much reduced now.
Ruck... true...why sell after all this time if you didn't have to, especially with trial results this year looking so promising...but my target is now 50p . At some point even LTHs are forced out !
Violin,
I can’t imagine many have held tight for ten years and have now decided to sell at 10p.
Ruck...
"an inability to hold long term" ....well.. after a decade plus of holding ...that gave me a laugh 😀
Agreed, shares in Pfizer, BMS and Roche have all been poor over a year too, not all due to COVID. Guessing they could use a (needle free) injection of later stage clinical assets tax well.
BioNTech had a good ride with Covid vax . . . let's hope, for their sake, they haven't 'peaked'. Do they need to get out of their 'tunnel' in which case, some Scancell assets might be useful for them?
Looking at the BioNTech post Covid revenue figures, they need something too. The shares have had a pretty poor year, performance is comparable to SCLP over 12 months.
Violin,
"makes one wonder why on earth one of those companies don't snap up Scancell while we are sitting at a miserable sub 100m market capital."
It's because there aren't enough shareholders stupid enough to sell for a "derisory" 10p. The price is an irrelevant figure representing what a fraction of a percent are desperate enough to sell at any price. The majority of these sellers probably shouldn't have invested in the first place - due to lack of research or an inability to hold long term.
I have found it quite amusing following the "under valued" thread. It isn't "undervalued". It is "valued" by Trinity Delta at 30p today, and multiple pounds by 2030 (if trials are successful). We need to be viewing this as "underpriced" rather than "undervalued".
I'd be fairly certain that any bid under £1 would not be considered by enough holders to effect a takeover.
As Oscar Wilde said, "there's a man who knows the price of everything but the value of nothing"
Violin - your 11.06 had been fairly answered by both Bermuda and Johnny, who are certainly as likely to be as right, as anyone else. Did you miss their posts?
The other day you posted that the SP will fall even when good news arrives - I thought that an interesting mindset, akin to legendary negativity.
No one will be snapping this up for 50p IMHO. TCOY . ATB
Hi Barbel. I see that's your first post for 6 months or so. Glad to see you still 'keep the faith'. You've been holding for many years? ATB
