Chester I agree, for those who haven"t seen in yet, it is only 23 minutes short and well worth watching. Here"s the link.........................
Vid Of sharesmag event
https://www.sharesmagazine.co.uk/video/scancell-holdings-sclp-dr-cliff-holloway-ceo
Covers all the basics, which I reminded myself of a few things and should be very interesting to newbies to understand what is behind us when we talk of platforms and commercial opportunities. It is crazy for us to rember when the share rose from 6p to 64p, we had just started trials in SCIB1 and Moditiope was a serendipity discovery. Now with the SCIB1 Combo Trial about to start, MOD1 trial set for H1 2020 and the CRUK sponsored SCIB2 trial hopefully ready to start in H2 2020, we have gained 150% in a few months from 3.6 to 9.25, still some way short of our all time high, but all the vlinical development coming to fruition. A crazy market for sure, we never had the BioNTech collaboration, nor ISA, nor CRUK, and we have glycans/Mabs and TCR.
So when bobbust says we can shoot to 20p I agree with him. I didn"t truly understand what I had bought into 7 years ago, I do now, so I will hold strong as IMHO we have so much further to go.
I am sure if you watch that presentation you will start to understand where we are coming from. We can"t give financial advice, it is wrong, but leave that up to each every one of you. ATB
Now that video of Cliff presenting the Scancell wares is just what we need to bring in new investors.
The number of trades and some of the values of those trades tells me that we are seeing the Scancell story hit a much wider audience.
When I said this week could be interesting I never thought of his presentation being the catalyst, but I think it just might be.... Well impressed.
A very happy Chester.
I actually wouldn't include support/resistance levels as part of TA.
They actually work much better on large markets like the one my program runs on.
But even on small shares they can sometimes have an effect. 10p was once a strong support level for Scancell.
I agree that TA is mainly hocus pocus.
However, put yourself in the mindset of a trader who has an eye on Scancell. The administrators of CF selling a huge number of SCLP shares (huge in the context of a small AIM share); possible buying opportunity he thinks. He sees other people buying so he takes the plunge. But then when to sell? He could just maintain a trailing stop or he could look back in the charts for a spike or both.
Hi Knowlesi,
Not sure why you think it is hocus pocus? I’m not a practioner or advocate of TA but surely this is common sense? There comes a level where the number of people who think it is a good price to sell outnumber the number of people who think it is a good price to buy. Of course, the level isn’t set in stone so it may be broken and a new level established where the aforementioned set of rules apply.
However....
Should an RNS appear tomorrow come out stating trials have started, FDA approval given and a deal with BioNTech sanctioned - disregard the above.
Well the two sells at the end of the day were at the highest price, so it will be interesting to see what tomorrow brings.
True, perhaps a case of “resistance is futile” ?
Well resistance levels are there to be broken.
Ray,
I prefer the resistance peak of 12 months ago!
Agreed rats.
I also think we are at a resistance level (look at the 6 month chart and Jan 22). This is the kind of spike that traders look for IMO.
Morning All, well a bit of blue, tick up 8.90/9.30
To be honest Chester, none of the 100 percent plus rise of recent times has been explosive, just very steady and stable. So wouldn't expect anything resembling instant fireworks unless of course a particularly tasty RNS appears.
So far not the burst from the blocks I would have wished for.
The thing is we must be so close to the trial starting in earnest and the FDA finally finding a pen with some ink....
If I could I'd put a tenner on a 'definite RNS this week'....
Any ideas what odds I'd get..?
Chester.
Could be an interesting week. Let’s see!!! ATB
Chester, I agree.
There has been a strong and sustained rise over the past few of weeks following the Vulpes investment and appointment of Martin Diggle to the board. I would think Any positive news will keep this trend going. I expect double digits by the end of next week, news or not.
Yep, there is a chance, but like all news I just accept it will come when it does. Two people, and I find it hard not to go there, this week have asked...........""what is the tremendous news we have had?"" I chose not to answer either, as it would have ended in confrontation, and at the end of the day, everybody sees different things in a different way, and I don"t need to defend what I see. In fact the market itself seems to be confirming my thoughts and those of many others.
Chester, you say.................""Hopefully the share price will continue to be positive with a blue end to each day prior to the trial announcement ..."". Well i have thought we might see a retrace on a couple of occasions, but we haven"t. I think the answer to that lies around Vulpes. For the first time in a very long time we have a buyer who seems to be sweeping up the sells, which we would accept as there are many who bought in around 4/6p showing very good profits already. Our buyer/s seem to me to be getting stronger, both in size of trades and the amount they are willing to pay. Also the amounts they are buying seem to be as many as they can get their hands on, no round figures, but as we are seeing a few more sells, people taking profits, we are seeing buys up to the value of £25k per trade. So will we continue to see blue?? I think the simple answer to that is as long as our buyer/s want to accumalate, we will. And the further we rise the more our buyers are taking, as if they are expecting news, which perhaps we haven"t considered?
There have been a few comments as to Chiplin moving to London, which I haven"t heard, but has he not just been appointed Chairman of another Biotech on AIM, could be N4P or NIPT from memory (which aint so clever). And a few comments as to Diggle taking more of a role in Scancell? I genuinly believe that to focus on what Vulpes paid for their stake will lead to missing the importance of their arrival. So to me Vulpes have woken up this share, and because it took so long for them to commit themselves, doesn"t that begger the question of why now??
Funny how when we were falling some said just look at the SP, but when we rise, that doesn"t get mentioned?
I have seen too many horrendous posts this weekend to be comfortable here anymore, I just have to look at TFs accusations about the pack here. Is he talking about Inanaco, who is very quiet, or directed at me, the poster who asked for others opinions yesterday?? and on receiving one from Douve, not a hint of anything but debate.
So tomorrow I will be looking out for the buys, the increasing bid, and that question firmly in my mind...........why now to build a substantial stake, and whats the rush??
To a great week for us, and the rise in the M/Cap from £18m to £42m says to me there is something a doing. Night you guys.
There's a very good chance that during this coming week we'll hear that 'Patient No. 1' has been dosed in the SCIB 1 Combi Trial.
Hopefully the share price will continue to be positive with a blue end to each day prior to the trial announcement ...
Finally, I would hope that the FDA will be nearing a decision and because of the approval in the UK, they give the US trial the go ahead.
A lot can happen in a week, let's hope that it's this week when it does...
Chester.
