Violindog when it was a possibilility alternate treatment to me and when I was was in contact with Scancell Lindy and RG tried veryhard to get me in at least consideration something my oncologist had in his plan for me made that not possible. But underlinrd to me the help they gave in seeing nyrecords which duly hap
pened.
I noticed you have topped up a few times in this price range now, wishing you all the best of luck in the weeks/months to come. My last top just a few weeks ago was 22. 75 which took me over 200k again. Really hope this comes off for you,a s much as others here.
Lets see what tomorrow brings could well be news as I si t in my dentist chai at 10 with my frony tooth precasiously hanging by a thread Why do these thing always happen on A friday night? ATVB
Facing any cancer treatment must be awful, but if you were a patient offered SCIB ...and researched the "swimmer chart survival rate" ....who would refuse?
I'm delighted to be invested in a company offering such hope and life saving treatment to patients faced with such a decision.
Konar my thoughts entirely, hence my question to Bermuda.
I have a little feeling too that it will take just a bit more news to see a decent rise in the SP, but where once I would see it as a mere PI, i believe there are much bigger forces at play now. Delighted to hear that Dr Miller is running the trial, that was my understanding from his appointment and my view about needing a Big Pharma has changed somewhat. It is hard to imagine just how important Sally Adams is to Scancell in many areas, but I feel a lot happier with someone who might not just be a jack of all trades, but an expert in a few.
For that reason I am not expecting an RNS updating recruitment for the Phase 1 trial, but boy am I looking forward to first patient dosed, I feel that could be a major inflection point and that is not considering news will come due of Covidity and Moditope in the near future.
""We will be in three trials within months"", starting to really believe in that again, and it has seemed so long since an update that I can only imagine the work that has been carried out since last year in preporation for trials.
After the events of the last year beginning to see the light again, feeling confidant and looking forward to the days ahead. Hope you guys feel the same?
A full update well well well overdue I'd say!
Obviously, we are in that period of just before so much newsflow could pile in at once but... certainly comms are down ATM
For the Moditope trial we still haven't heard whether the manufacture is now complete.
I really think this is a significant development. I got the impression that part of the reason they held off expanding the trial to other recruitment centres - and hadn't actually recruited patients - was because they wanted to be able to make changes to the trial design in response to covid. I would assume that once dosing commences you cannot then make changes to the trial. The fact that we had the changes to the trial design last week, and then expanded recruiting this week suggests to me that we are now full steam ahead with our cancer trials. Hoping to see "first patient dosed" in the SCIB1 trial and news on Moditope in the short term.
Thanks guys, yes hopefully six patients we can start the trial, presumably more patients will be recruited for Phase 2??
SP, hanging on to 21/21.5, again referring to ABs excellent post in times of old I would have expected us to fall a little bit today.
Signs that things are coming together will only help, certainly helping me to feel that confidence flowing again. Goodnight guys
Crumbs, sorry posts crossed. As you can see by the time difference, took me ages to post mine (interrupted by phone!)
Chelsea - no real changes to recruitment criteria and in total the trial will recruit 25 patients. The first 6 will form a safety run in cohort and I guess it's likely that we'll get an RNS for 1st patient dosed and then another update when that cohort has been dosed and they are allowed to expand the trial to recruit the remaining patients.
Ivy - yes a couple of months slippage isn't bad at all given that recruitment has been on hold for so long - all made possible of course by the reduction in the SCIB1 treatment period.
Konar - assume that Dr Miller will now be the contact point for all of Scancell's clinical trials.
estimated 25 patients
Can anybody advise from the last communications from Scancell re SCIB1 trial, how many patients are we looking to recruit for the Phase 1 trial.?
Miovace, thanks for that, will read up.
AB, another good post re SP. I commented last week when discussing the recent price consolidation that we would have retraced far more in days of old. "Three trials within months" was what I was told, and that is great news about the recruitment for SCIB1 trial, quite a few of us have commented that the cancer drugs news could well come first, just maybe.
2023
Hi Bermuda just posted that on other site
Only other change is completion date of Dec 1st 2923 rather than 30th Sept
Hi C7, if you follow the link I posted you can click on the SCIB1 trial. You can then scroll down to the bottom and click on 'Change History' - this allows you to compare versions of the trial info and makes it really easy to see what changes have been made between versions (including those to patient eligibility). Hope this is useful.
Afternoon Bermuda, is there any change to the patients criteria from the first recruitment last year
Yeah I noticed that Berm.. was initially reading into it, thinking "is Sally Adams busy with other trials?".. but figured that was speculative, and it probably just reflects the expanding organisational structure.
Konar,
Well spotted and thanks for posting.
Also note that Scancell's new Medical Director, Dr Robert Miller has replaced Sally Adams as the central contact person for the trial. Good to finally see some signs of life with this study and hopefully first patient dosed RNS will follow in the not too distant future.
Now recruiting.
