Thanks all for the input - I'm saving the info in a document.
Unfortunately, I don't think my votes would meet the deadline - my platform only accepts posted info and I'm too far away to hand deliver it easily.
I have fed back that this will bring forward my move to a new platform. If anyone has a referral link to their platform, contact me via Twitter DM.
(I still have some research to do so if you have particular points of interest about your platform, let me know.)
Well if I got it right via webchat that is 411,104 votes in favour of both resolutions. I think that works out at less than one twentieth of a percent!
Quoth, my shares are with Hargreaves Lansdowne some 230k, I just called their Corporate Actions team to vote yes and it took literally minutes to do. Every vote is vital, Vulpes are not alligned to the BOD
My wife and I hold circa 400k share in our ISAs.
Never proxy voted before, need to find out how pronto as it sounds like these resolutions need some support! Every little helps.
You're not wrong. I have been in since 2009. It has been a rough ride!
Collectively it all counts Sid.... It may dawn on scancell that they should appreciate us longterm sufferers (holders) a bit more than they maybe have.
Lodged my vote in favour on 140k shares with the share centre today by phone. No mention of missing the cut off so fingers crossed, not that my paltry holding will make much of a difference!
I have emailed Bestinvest asking how to go about voting in favour. Will see what they say.
Thanks LL. I used the Secure Message facility as pointed out by ciaskin.
Vote submitted.
Mia, someone said earlier they simply called it in...
Thanks ciaskin.
Tagging option
5) Phone call to vote [Interactive allow this, but need 4 days notice - may already be past the deadline to vote]
Hargreaves Lansdown - phone call
Halifax share dealing allow voting through chat or a phone call.
Fidelity allow email notifications
IG postal forms only, no information available on where to find forms, format - Already past the deadline to vote.
Bestinvest [smpunter]
Unknowns platform but want to vote [barbelfisher,
Hi Mia. See my 11.55 post below.
Anyone know how I cast a vote if I hold my share in a HL SIPP ?
Thanks LL.
Mia, it is not counted at all. I think the % referred to (eg 75%) are the % of the votes submitted.
If we don't submit a vote is this automatically counted as a vote in favour, or do we have to actually submit a vote ?
Apologies for doing this here and now. I'm trying to find out the proxy voting mechanisms on different platforms.
I don't have time to move platforms before the deadline, but I don't want to miss another vote. Here are the options I gleaned earlier:
1. Proxy voting online through the platform
2. Proxy voting through the platform chat function
3. Proxy voting by email
4. Proxy voting submission by postal mail only
For 3 & 4: Also useful to know if your platform provides a) forms and b) the relevant information to fill in the forms.
