WF - 15.28. Thanks for that Inovio link - Inovio used to be discussed a lot here. I see Dr Kim puts a good spin on that reversal (as always) - let's see how it goes. Regarding C7's claim some years ago, he stated that there was a Group of 6 or so receiving regular private updates - neither individuals nor content specified.
DA - 15.48. We've had an update already - CH was to present that update to a new audience this evening - presenting 'an' update not a 'latest' or 'new' update. But in Moonparty's 16.17 - ''As the presentation is out of trading hours, they could provide new price sensitive information so long as an RNS is issued before the market opens tomorrow.'' Worth a look. Good post.
Ruck - 14.31. Yes I remember Researcher's post too, relatively recently.
Crumbs 15.28. Yes the info. about 'head and neck' was helpful.
Crumbs 17.37. Remember SCLP is a 'Public' Company. Anything disclosed at AGM Q & A is fine. I too prefer a Company to communicate fully with ALL Shareholders.
I'm very surprised that you Guys don't remember the protracted discussion I had with C7. At the time I also suggested that the BB should nominate one or two of the more knowledgeable Contributors to ask questions on our behalf - I had Inan/Berm in mind - so that questions could be targeted more helpfully.
Just to note that in the C7 letter to Cliff/Chris yesterday, he's asked about the timing of a Tweet and there's one suggestion about a video. That's it !
Which takes me back to this in 07.08 - ''I understand lately that CH has been referring PI enquiries to FTI - IMO this is the correct procedure and avoids embarassing situations such as people posturing as having special knowledge or contacts.''
Anyway let's hope for an RNS today and some blue too ! GLA
I suppose it is like saying you do not think there should be a Q&A at AGM...I'm sure we all agree that is preposterous we should be able to communicate with the BOD we have invested in .... to what level is something else but like I say as far as I know scancell are always professional in their relationship to pi's and no doubt ii's too... I know Glencross of calculus has a weekly call with CH as indeed they do with all their investments... maybe Woodford should have done that instead of prancing around on race horses.
I doubt the amount of time spent on emails interferes with getting the likes of vulpes and other ii to invest in scancell :) I much prefer a BOD that communicates as best it can with ALL shareholders. after all, when those OO's occur it is current pi's they want to invest more as much as ii.. of course, there will be times when certain emails need to be given a generic reply ... but I have always been satisfied with the few emails I've been sent replies, of course, nothing 'insider' is given out but you can learn certain things, for instance, I learnt that sarcomas were replaced by head and neck due to work done with project blueprint etc... things you do not learn from RNS's but are of great interest to us pi's
And how would TF know that, as he is so against against asking questions to the BOD that we vote in. ?? Interesting and Bull......
Knowlesi, if that was the case, why do I receive responses from CH and RG to any e-mail I send??
I Calvert - yep good idea. Cool !
If X = 5 (years) - when I come back, the SP might have reached 64 p !!
(Actually, I'm much more bullish than that) . . .
Maybe when this BB boards historical disputes get over-heated one side should be able to call a time-out for x years?
Whose dad is biggest?
Utter rubbish TF. Absolute and utter rubbish. With all due respect, your memory is failing badly if that is what you recall. But then you did mention your advancing years, so perhaps one can excuse the frailty of age.
RW you are quite wrong there. My memory is absolutely clear on the subject. C7 was claiming that a group of Posters were receiving regular private updates by email.
It's your knee jerk defence that's the ****. Let it go . . .
Morning Rats, is that what was said?? What a lot of rubbish and the accusations seem to be coming more often and more damning. We all know the BOD will catagorically not indulge us with information they have not released. I remember some furious rows over that , it was twisted out of all proportion. It was simply if anybody has a question about what has been put in the public domain, a simple e-mail to the company, in this case RG, would be given a reply to understand it better
Many of us on occasions communicate that way, amazes me that the ones in most need of understanding should be so dogmatic about communicating, which we all do on a daily basis, in all walks of life. I would add that there has never been an occasion when a reply has not been given, accompanied often by a thank you ror your support and interest. I just allowed myself to see those posts, I am disgusted and it is happening every few days with ever increasing animosity. Best I don"t ever look again i feel quite angry actually at a time when anger has no part to play in my life. Thanks for the heads up.
The headmaster is in full flow, and his memory is faded and twisting. 'I well remember a few years ago you causing significant embarassment to the BoD and RG in particular, claiming that you and others were in regular receipt of private email updates on a regular basis. You were then well out of order and I protested loudly at the time.' Bull ****.
C7 - I am certainly in this respect, a prominent 'mutterer' as you put it. As for, ''a lack of trust and respect to the ones keeping in touch'' in this case, you - well yes, put me at the top of that list ! I well remember a few years ago you causing significant embarassment to the BoD and RG in particular, claiming that you and others were in regular receipt of private email updates on a regular basis. You were then well out of order and I protested loudly at the time. You were irresponsible in making such claims and after that, you have no right to claim 'trust' from the BB in this respect.
I understand lately that CH has been referring PI enquiries to FTI - IMO this is the correct procedure and avoids embarassing situations such as people posturing as having special knowledge or contacts.
You may of course get a reply to your, IMO completely pointless latest missive to Cliff Holloway - but he is Cliff not Chris remember ?
There have been a few mutterings over the years about those that choose to keep in touch with the BOD, I do when I have specific questions that I know will not be insider information and also to pass on encouragement from the eyes of a PI, and gently suggest at times what is important to us, but never to secure a short term rise. I have often thought that the criticism is fuelled by a lack of trust and respect to the ones keeping in touch, as if there is an ulterior motive for doing so. That angers me.
I personally have a lot of respect for CH and RG, they always reply to me within hours, and it shocks me how many times they have thanked me as they do receive some very aggressive mail. That I feel
is very bad form.
So just as an example of what I find very acceptable, sincere, just decided to send CH one just now, does anybody really believe ""this wastes their time""??..............................
Dear Cliff,
Delighted with the H1 Update you issued on the 1st July, I can only imagine you are all flat to the boards.
I liked the RNS for a few reasons, most importantly it opened the communication lines to us PIs, which is so very important,
and as you know the only negatives I have ever expressed are over a seeming lack of communication. On saying that I
understand fully how hard it has been whilst so much clinical development has been going on.
Chris, I hope we get some news today with regard patient recruitment, there is growing excitement as I am sure you have that
we will back in trials very soon.
So the best of luck to you tonight at the Investors Show,, there seems to have been a lot more interest in us since Vulpes came on board.
Was there any reason why you left it to yesterday before twittering the event? I do know it was sold out weeks ago.
Best of luck again for tonight, maybe one day you guys can tape the presentations to be seen on the Scancell website? One for the future eh!!
My Best Regards to you all
Paul Davis.
