The hope is that OEM8 are Tesla - we shall see in time. In the meantime, OEM3 are looking good, with very bullish comments on their last key environmental test. As longshanks has summarised elsewhere, OEM3 are "a large German automotive brand, part of a group that takes in OEMs 2 (British) and 4 (German).
The environmental test is unique to OEM3 and as far as I am aware is one that is not wholly satisfied by Brembo SGL either. It does relate to operating in extreme cold conditions and the work to date has been on getting the product to a point where it performs consistently. That testing process is clearly nearing completion.
It is entirely feasible that this group alone will require one dedicated OEM production cell by 2025."
Any thoughts on SCE and Porsche?
New 5-minute interview about SCE with Zeus Capital's Research Director. Doesn't add much to what we know, except:
- there's a potential 2 year extension to the duration of the contract
- confirms it's an EV
- he expects a third major contract to be announced "in the coming months"

Interesting, good news is always worth repeating at least twice ;0)
Cheer for the info.
Oops - sorry for the double posting, the first one didn't seem to be showing up...!
Great news from the new Zeus Capital note - this contract win is for an electric vehicle. Could it be the mighty Tesla?!! No doubt we'll find out who in due course.
Zeus are definitive about this being an EV, then going on to list the benefits of ceramic brakes for EVs, noting that it's for both axles on the car etc. Yet Finncap and the RNS made no mention of any of this. An opportunity missed imo.
The Zeus note also mentions that SCE "remains in discussions with other automakers, including German OEM 3". Let's hope this is a hint from the apparently very well informed Zeus Capital of things to come.

Worth noting from Finncap's note today:
- OEM8 has "stated that it could develop similar high performance derivatives of other models in its range"
- and these would need "no further engineering or testing to approve the SCE brake product for these models"
- their 55p target is based on one production cell only
- more contract news flow which triggers investment in the next cell "could drive further valuation upside"
AlphaOmega, I subscribe to Research Tree for around £200-£250per annum, giving access to all kinds of brokers and their research. If you're a serious investor it's well worth it imo.
good rns ,reread the rns again , like todays rns ,like the potential here at sce ,,missed out at start of day ,had been watching ncyt more ,then when share became difficult to buy shares at ncyt ,started to watch this and other shares ,thinking a strong
afternoon here , also hoping might see a strong day tomorrow as more read this rns
Hi AlphaOmega - the new increased target prices are from the two new research notes issued today by Finncap and Zeus (I have copies!).
N-T to buy all the time !!
Re-buy , still got legs to reach 50p today and £1 on news of more contract
Typically I sold my 20000 a cpl of month back thinking these would drift back into the teens. Feel like a bit of a chump now. Well done all holders.
Manraj, SCE are still a small cap company, with a lot of shares held by a number of long-term holders who've been here for some time (including myself!). If you want to buy a stake, the only way will be to buy small or as many as you can a number of times, especially now that confidence in the stock is so high.
Tempted to buy however not enough volume
Fund* sorry
Most important line was no need for cash or placing to find headcount as they mentioned that increased revenue will be enough. So I expect good rise to 50p in coming days weeks
Finncap have increased their target price to 55p, and Zeus have increased to 45p.....
OT : hi Monkshood, yep, rather a good day - SCE, MWE, ODX all up nicely and EKF with outstanding H1 results. Don't hold SEE though, always been too highly valued for me.
New contract is excellent news, unfortunately this might attract a few day traders, might be a bit volatile short term
With this and MWE you are having a good morning - do you hold SEE as well?
Huge news :o))

- a new OEM customer
- the £27.5m contract win is over two-thirds of the m/cap in itself!
- it's on an accelerated timeline so will impact quickly
- current year sales will also be above expectations
- and more contract wins are on the way:
"we look forward to further extending our relationship with this major new customer and making further contract announcements with both OEM 8 and other, existing and new, customers."
