Aye, Steady IL-6 is the gamechanger at present and we're totally owning it in Tyk2 with no tox or mtd and with patent protection.
Re the submarine patent, from further reading this can best be described as a literal ‘surfacing’ of the invention.
This is classed as ‘publication type A1’ which is its first publication. Yes, the world now knows (well the biotech and pharmaceutical world does - and that’s all that matters at this stage).
I believe the novelty of the invention is not in question as the citing documents in the publication both relate to our existing patents for our TYK2s (SDC series) from 2018 and 2020 respectively.
It looks as though the readers/examiner have queried the nomination of ‘forms’ (ie form A, form B, form C and form D) and states that the description as defined cannot be an invention. I believe that Sareum have amended this issue with supplemental information.
It is clear that the invention is lodged and registered and therefore afforded protection worldwide. This in and of itself as added millions to the value.
I’m with Zylo, I don’t think we will see an RNS but would be happy to be proven wrong.

Hi Ahfam also this, note point 3 re manufacturing
Patent applications: the three criteria
Patent applications must satisfy the following three criteria:
Novelty
This means that your invention must not have been made public – not even by yourself – before the date of the application.
Inventive step
This means that your product or process must be an inventive solution. It cannot be a solution that would be obvious to a manufacturer. Take the example of a different attachment method. Instead of welding the tubes of a swing together, they might be screwed together. This may well be a new method of making swings. But for someone involved in making them, it is too obvious a solution to be called an inventive step.
Industrial applicability
This criterion implies that it must be possible to actually manufacture the new invention. In other words, you can apply for a patent on a new kind of playing card that is easier to hold than existing cards. But you can’t obtain a patent for an idea for a new card game.
These rules are laid down in the Patents Act 1995
So it must be able to be manufactured that is a unique type of novel crystalline molecule. That timboo mentioned elsewhere that the x Ray part of the patent was very noteable in allowing acceptance as a precursor.
Also the the WIPO part of the link showed we were the only other company that came up on searches for similar technology. A further 2 with our name on them.
Ahfam you may be right. But given the current pressure on the share price I think the company would be slaughtered by shareholders if they were not making the most of this fantastic new development which has implications beyond just the company’s assets. I expect an RNS next week.
Hi Ahfam.
I'm not so sure about that but the whole principle of a submarine patent is that we can let the world know about the scientific technology which we canthen go underwater again.
But if you are right re RNS...then what about an EQS?
I remember back in August you bringing into the posts il6 .
Happy days chap.
Zylo is right though only when we get the grant of the patent will they RNS it.
Dr Reader said the world will hear about it in due course.
For me that means it will get an RNS, tweet etc. Its global chaps world-wide patent protection.
And as I said in my post yesterday in regards to the HNWIs investing £4.5m within 3months for Sareum to shoulder AGILE- the HNWIs are here for 50bags and will want to make a little piece of history along the way.
You have to ask yourselves in the 10yrs+ most of us have been invested we have never seen this much interest and money thrown at us in such a short period of time- it's planets aligning scenario chaps.
All in my opinion of course.
Zylo -OK. But surely it warrants an RNS because of the wider implications that this portrays? Sareum in its current circumstances quote “would want all the World to know”.
Sorry but you are wrong zylo. Read my post ...this bit is very relevant...its a lot to take in
Therefore, when the patent examiner “allows” your patent application, you do not let it “grant.” That would start your 17-year term. Rather, you file a “continuation” to keep it “underwater” or “pending.” During this time, competitors develop and adopt the technology. Once the industry embraces the technology, you finally allow your submarine patent to “surface.” This starts your 17-year patent term. However, now the technology is ubiquitous and you have greater leverage to force a settlement or payout.
So it's not necessarily about it being granted! It's a submarine patent!! So a continuation or pending can be reported in a RNS.
I doubt an epistolary RNS will be as per usual between the board and investors. I expect more than that.
i dont think this warrants a RNS, its only an application, SAR have never released a RNS stating they have applied for a patent.
only when a patent has been granted then a RNS is issued.
Hi All - some great posts (overnight for me as being in NZ) just catching up again.
Re the publication date (Thursday 14 Oct) and an RNS. I’m sure the company has 3 business days to release. So expecting a nice juicy ‘red’ button on Monday. It must have been drafted already, maybe approved Friday for release Monday.
Will read some more later but on the face of it, this now fixes all our solubility issues across all compounds (even FLT3) which could see this being ‘dusted off’ again and rolled into the whole portfolio.

Blastoid, all I can say is we're going to f.. £ land maybe £5 minimum if it's what I think it is.
'The world will hear about it in due course' cannot wait for the official RNS now.
I don't fully understand it RMM, Citizen, Hopkirk, Thoth may do, but it mentions amongst other indications IL-6 bacteria all over it- my guess is we're taking a crack at the whole respiratory market it's trillion £$€¥ market over the next 40yrs. It's pills, inhalables the works.
Many happy returns chaps, many happy returns indeed.
Ditto Blastoid. Really looking forward to those who understand this better giving their thoughts.
Amazing find, i cant wait for Afhams reaction, hes going to be salivating ! I too await our resident boffins synopsis, the science is beyond me frankly.
