I'm surprised they didn't raise more to be honest. At least now we don't need to worry about funding tyk2 for a while and with the impeding grant and aurora milestone we should be in a very strong position for negotiations on licencing or partnering.
Placing shares dilute by 1/25 makes sp 0.66p + if any primary bid takers.
Minimal when looking at the 10p + :-)
Andy. If we had partnered for Covid study. We'd still only be exploring the potential. Yes, the SP might have gone up but as we've seen today with VAL, it might only have been by 25%. The market is awash with COVID potential and none of them, including SAR's could come to nothing.
Working
Maybe so mate and I wouldn’t disagree.
I’m choosing to remain optimistic though.
I’m still in +ve territory here... just...as been here 9 years and have managed to top slice occasionally...
My missus asks me a few times a week. How are the shares doing and I also tell her the truth? Just last week. I told her they were in profit but we may have to raise soon and that will put us at a loss again. That was a well timed, preemptive strike on my part.
Del77.. If 20% is to fund our part of a grant then fooking say so in the RNS, rather than the bland Bollix he put in the RNS and I quote:
"These funds, together with any grants awarded to Sareum, will also help us explore the potential benefit of our TYK2/JAK1 inhibitors against Covid-19".
Words like "explore" and "potential" don't exactly instill confidence, he should be saying "we feel we have a solution and will be moving heaven and earth to materialise our solution asap".. Not "explore" and "potential", I bet his missus has got a great sex life.. Not..!!
Bit disappointed as we were told enough working capital. However we need to progress quickly at this covid time and the funds give us a stronger position for partner deal.
Hope I'm right! Rns Friday announcing partner will do nicely.
I'm in but no extra funds so that makes the share offer easy to decline.
Gla with what you decide.
Am in agreement, Del. Also as stated, if the study shows promise. We are answerable to no one. The licensing costs go up. I'm ok with the placing but I was expecting it. just didn't have the bottle to sell some while I could have.
An alternative positive view is that some if the additional funding is to meet 20% of the grant funding under uk research council T&Cs and also to strenthen Sareums negotiating poition. An award may have been announced to sareum re supporting research - covid with a release award notice for 3 June hence the placing tonight
If their is a grant award tomorrow sp will exceed £0.006

At present, it feels more like its to keep 7 pension pots being topped up nicely and 7 unneeded company cars on the road...
5h1t news... but I find it odd they have done it out of hours, and with little to no time for anyone to take advantage of the offer should they choose.
I topped up late last week and feel disappointed by this news.
However, on the plus side, it keeps the lights on for 12 months and should there be an interested party they can no longer low ball us as we have a going concern.. maybe that's what this was about... to fend of a cheap offer?
I'm not going to argue with anyone. The sell button will be working in the morning, your choice. I saw this coming a few weeks away. SAR are not acting in the way that a deal is imminent. Have a nice evening folks.
There you go again'a more enviable position',Grow up we are getting fleeced!! Bobody should listen to the rubbish you or anyone else spouts about'Best in class' in anymore. This is dog, always has been and always will be.
i know placings\dillutuions are **** but in this case, I was expecting it. As soon as I saw the RNS for the Bio Digital presentation, I knew we didn't have a partner, or one willing to pay what Tim wants, is make take on it. If a COVID study shows promise. It will put us in an enviable position.
Was expecting this. Think we are going it alone in the Covid study.
