The only problem with these reports is every time we get a positive the SP falls. I have seen much speculation about the SP Ā£6 Ā£7 Ā£10 even Ā£12 but in truth does anyone really believe bthe price will rise above Ā£4 this year? I am fully committed to the stock and believe it will eventually show growth as well as dividends.in 2/3 years time.
Jeez Smort we've killed the board!
Best post Off topic next time lol.
Totally envious, the Irish national stud is well worth a visit, to see the legends out in the fields makes the hairs on your back stand to attention, but to have the privilege of entering the hallowed turf of Coolmore, I doff my cap.
And yes it has been known
smorty.. you seem to like a little wager at the geegees?
I'll never fergit my visit to the lovely Coolmore Stud a couple of years ago. Stayed at an excellent hotel in Clonmel. 'Met' the living legend Galileo, Camelot, Churchill, The Gurkha, and others.
JP Magnier's private Museum - all state of the art interactive screens.... Derby and Ark trophies.... JP O'Brien's instructions - from another age - to his 'lads', ... Lester Piggot's outfit... a life size stuffed Saddler's Wells...
Incidentally, Galileo's covering fee is a 'secret'. But I asked. Half a million Euros a shot. But they are so protective of the bloodline, the Mares (with very exceptions) have to have won Black type races themselves, apparently. No wonder he Rules the Racing World.
Not as bad now, they have introduced a false running rail on castle turn so they can now nip up the inside.
Smort
I have done Chester in the summer...I had, er, company, but it is indeed a target rich environment...
Def at some point. The draw is important there I believe no?
And I donāt believe thereās a man alive who could survive a week at Galway races, tried Punchestown for 3 day, never again
Joe not done the Galway festival itās on the bucket list, going over June 15th for a weeks touring hopefully take in a couple of meetings, Iām sure Rogue wonāt mind you joining us for a few Guinness and a day at the races
Smorty, Iām up for Potnyzpass or even better a week in Galway, I will be heading over there July/August to enjoy some time with the family :-)
GLA
Ha ha Jackbogle - I wish!
My total Saga is now just over 63,000 but millionaire has over double that!
Got to laugh though I held off yesterday buying my shares back into my Isa at Ā£3.80 (got greedy) to jump in this morning at Ā£3.90 after seeing Beachbums SOLD OUT message last night. Ha ha
And now they are back to Ā£3.80 ffs couldnāt make it up.
Banbury, anyone could be anyone here and the obvious Sir R candidate is Doofus which means it canāt be because itās too obvious.
My vote Smorty.
Do a race day towards the end of the season Aug-Sept, that will open your eyes if youāve not been before.
Certainly, itās a bit mad at present you have to book to sit in the pub car parks haha
RM1, hopefully we are not all "Down At The Doctors" mind you, at the party I will definitely look forward to the injection :-)
GLA
Yes indeed. AM still there.
Beers in Chester when this is eased a bit fella?
Rogue you forgot to mention the gurus portfolio of advice up 100% + haha
Got to break that 50p soon mate
Yeah. And probaly more interesting is what will Fundsmith Equity will do in the next 12 as that 33 is the general market bounce back.
Might be 15% FE plays 75 SAGA .... just sayin'
But then that is just the illustration of spread funds vs single equities. I have individuals that have nearly tripled in that time eg TTD, and have sold on ones to go in ones lagging eg SAGA.to increase leverage later.
If I get to where I want to be I will be somewhere like that so I dont have to look at this all the time. APart from the social of course.
Joe remind me to bring Brilleaux's biography to the drinks if they happen!
Cheers all.
Meanwhile.... Saga puts on 66% YTD.
Just saying :-)
GLA
Wesley. Anyone here from the consolidation will be up 33% and more. Stay the distance mate.
Meanwhile..... Fundsmith Equity puts on 33% YTD.
And the man at the top, Doofus who probably works for Setanta, full respect to them both, some calls are too accurate to ignore :o)
Welcome Jackbogle.
I was thinking the same. Beach the Ā£7 champagne party !! Remember i need Ā£7 to break even after a mispent 6th decade chasing the AIM pot of gold. I know its a crock of s**. RH is our champagne man. I have a feeling he is RdH in disguise.
Really wants to know who bought the shares Setanta sold?
I would hazard a guess at Roxbury House to put in his ISA, by his posts he must be very near to declaring a major holding in Saga.
Would be very surprised if Setanta sold out completely, IMO think just under 3% was the target! of course I could be totally wrong and the share price not moving last few days suggests they are still off loading, we wonāt know 100% until the share starts to rise properly based on the good news, as donāt think they need to declare holdings anymore as now under 3%?
Gla
Theyve sold approx 8% in approx 8 months.
SO 3 months to go at the average rate, though they have done a couple of million in a couple of weeks when volumes allowed.
Good news will see them out IMO.
