It does seem odd, but equally maybe it's worth it. I calculate about an 0.5% return for holding for 2/3 weeks...that's not the worst is it?
There is a risk of it falling through and the price dropping, equally a chance of a higher bid.
Not long to go now.
It does seem odd but most are using instruments. Probably happy to make a quick guaranteed return.
Maybe it is just me being thick.....lol. You would think everyone would be offloading not opening long positions, unless there is something I am missing?
yes I noticed that, but they haven't offloaded the shares. They have just been transferred over. They still own 6.4% of Rockrose.

I don't think it means anything. Looks like they are just moving the shares in to their name following buyout of cavendish. See below.

TR1 - This notification is as a result of acquisition of assets from Cavendish Asset Management to Stonehage Fleming Investment Management which took place on 21.07.20.
.......The plot thickens !!
.....these form 8.3 notifications of increased long positions are intriguing. Buying at £18.40. What are they playing at I wonder?
My friend put me onto here originally from 500-600p about 18 months ago. Ive sold now & put into SLP as he thinks worth 2x or 3x current.
Considering his foresight & research on RRE & 3 weeks ago SLP was 38p now 51p Iam going on his advice again.
As always DYOR but £100 mil Mcap with i think he said £100 m assets & £40 mil in bank.
DYOR 1st. But hoping that one does same as here :)
...until the vote. Bid rising so worth holding out a bit longer, you never know Mr £25-30 / sh might come knocking. I doubt it but this is O&G, anything can happen !!...;o))
I’ve been looking at miners too. Only EUA has stood out to me so far, but still digging - pun intended :-P
Any resource linked to LTZ carbon technology is going to take off IMO. Fuel cells, batteries, copper, iron. I'm buying miners not oilers.
MT - What are your thoughts on palladium?
Thanks MT. I’m anticipating it’ll go through as is, so I’ve decided to jump ship. Could end up being the wrong move, but I can’t complain either way with the profit I’ve made here. I’ve been doing a lot of research on other oilies recently - JSE best I’ve seen so far; at 77p looking hugely undervalued (in my opinion). Could be worth you guys doing your own research and checking out - I’m sure once this all goes through many will be eyeing up other oilies with their new crock of gold
...is where it is at. Silver is booming and likely to double in price. Iron ore rising too. I have gone for Ferrexpo FXPO for iron ore increase and a long shot Pheonix Copper PXC for Silver and other resources they are developing. Fresnillo is the largets silver miner so should track silver upwards..;o))
According to the offer docs we should get details of a timetable in the post. I thought this week would be likely but I haven't received anything yet.
I like most of you am hoping for a counter offer, or in-fact a no deal (which I can’t see).. but I’m not sure about the timeline. Do any of you know the outright date when it will be certain whether or not Vario will be buying us out? I’m eyeing up reinvestment plans already but don’t want to jump ship too early. EUA looking pretty hot for gains over the next 12months!
Well it looks like it;s all over.
As at the first of January 2020 the share prices were
Lexion, you are so right!
1 JAN 2020
RRE 1870
TXP 22.25
Unless there is a rival bid the results are
RRE 1850 pence = 98.93%
TXP 56.5 pence = 254%
Touchstone Exploration wins hands down!
Take a look at UK based #UJO. In addition to some exciting exploration sites they will be a producer from early Q4. Fully funded as well following last November's raise.
Lots of excitement about the forthcoming EWT at West Newton. Rig should be arriving shortly. For some background see:

DYOR etc.
FXPO is a good shout. Barondaytrader pumping it puts me off a little though. He tends to get everyone excited then sells out on the quiet before the general dump begins.
Does the GM vote need to occur before the 28 days are up? Either way I'd expect some communication this week as to the timeline for everything to occur.
£500m-£600m company selling for £250m surely another bid is likely but would need announcing next week. £25/sh ++ counter offer would be nice to see! Big week next week.
Why is it taking so long to get the Scheme Document issued ?
Given they entered into an agreement on 29/2/20, you would have thought the 'paperwork' would be virtually ready to go.
Are Viaro anticipating another deal announcement before the 28 days are up ....
I'm in IPF too and have also now moved into Investec (INVP). I like both of these for strong medium term recoveries. Still looking for others too but struggling at the moment
My top picks would be
IPF for recovery 160p pre covid still managing to do business, recent director buys.
NCYT for a second half of this year and maybe into 2021 if COVID persists
FXPO has a very low PE ratio and is printing money so would be a good growth stock during and post COVID
GGP and EUA would be good miners to have for being taken out by bigger companies due to the worth of their assets and low risk of placings due to current mining contracts in place for funding.
