News out or what?!!!!
Dont think there is any point in buying until any uncertainty regarding rights issue and its price is removed.Company has not told us what sort of "options" it is looking at.Check International consolidated Airlines and they released similar statements before informing market that they have raised 2.5 billions via issuing rights at 60% discount.
" i am scared to buy in at this price "
a share isnt cheap until the market hates it, and it isnt really cheap until you hate it....
I decided to buy some at 143p.... keep a stop loss and go for the notion that next week and October will see a bit better outlook.....
I am moving towards thinking Biden is going to win....as much as to thinking Trump is going to lose....
Casa
you are getting to the point where I begin to wonder why you bother to get out of bed in the morning....sounding like you need a new planet to live on....not much for you on this one, by the sounds of it
Whatever they decide to do I wish they'd do it soon!
patanj - tbh i dont know whats going to happen - we are all like mushrooms here- all i see is rr employees and investors loosing their hard earnt savings and a company doing nothing whatsoever- RR only have themselves to blame-
iw ant to buy shares in this company but tbh i am scared to buy in at this price as i was a 4 weeks ago on the 27th august 1 month to the day they were 250 - now look at them
Think it hit 242 and then went on to hit 360/370 then. But at that time it was anticipated that a vaccine would be out by August/september and most of countries were lifting lockdowns.A lot has changed since then.
Casa, I think a bit more input would be nice.
Im elobarating on
Offer
Amount to be raised via rights issue
Any discounted offers similar yo IAG which offered 1 free share for 2 or 3 shares
The last upward trend was around 250 - 300 !
yes at sub 100 p as i keep saying
i find it incredible that they have trump and biden as potential presidents to represent the USA.
Market tends to be right in amost all of cases and if share price keeps on falling for no reason then look for something that management is hiding . Rights issue talks surfaced in July company issued an Rns to deny this and said no decision has been taken .Go through last RNS and company has admitted that it held talks with sovereign weath management funds to raise 2.5 billions. Would you lend 2.5 billions to a company who is struggling and not making any profit and has a bleak future ahead for at least one year? The answer is no, as these fund managers would want to protect their capital and get a decent return on it.So if lending is out of question whatelse options company has to raise 2.5 billions?Yes, you have guessed it right , through rights issue.
No one has said that negative posters are responsible for driving the sp down. The issue is negative posters ATTEMPT to drive the sp down, which is why I will never understand the rational for doing so. We all agree that its the rumour of funding that is driving the sp down but when people post blatant lies to try and influence the sp then that needs addressing.
The problem with waiting for funding news is that it may not happen. The sp could recover to £1.80 next week and the following week we could get news that funding is not required or will be done without dilution or even a placing at a premium to the sp. Nobody knows and more importantly we all have our own strategy and each strategy comes with its own specific risks.
My investment is considerably smaller than most here but the effects of the virus has been sector-wide (or world-wide to be more accurate) so can only imagine public sentiment changes on any whiff of vaccine news. Sad reading people jumping out on £10-20k+ losses but hey they turn out to be the smart ones if they manage to buy it cheaper and/or more shares with same money. I've been consistently drip feeding on lotta dips as I don't have the guts nor money to go all in. Happy days just watching the prices on green days which are few and far between. Good luck to all holders. Sorry for the ones holding from the absolute top esp if cash-strapped and crystallising paper losses.
Loyds sP never recovered, that was fact
Exactly John, I am amazed at this idiotic judgement that negative comments by "certain individuals" are driving the price down.Company has confirmed a rights issue through last statement and we will soon find out.
No one should try and catch this falling knife. It will eventually bottom out and start recovery - you will miss the very bottom, but the chances are that you will still get back in at a lower price than constantly thinking 'this cant go any lower so Ill buy more'. Wait for an upward trend to be established, probably after the terms of the RI are announced - that is likely to underpin the SP, at the moment the market is constantly looking for those (discounted) terms.
Are you for real? How can somebody talk down share price of a 2.5 billion mc company?
@Casajaluma- ITP Aero is not the jewel in the crown for RR nor has it ever been. Its a small part of RR's portfolio that brings in around one fifteenth of the annual revenue but is still worth around £2bn. It does not smack of desperation. The crown jewels are the civil aerospace and the Defence business's.
I get you are trying to talk the sp down but at least talk sense if for nothing else then for my sanity. It gets frustrating reading some of the stuff posted on here especially when its just clearly made up stuff
I don’t think RR is short of liquidity I think they only need to raise funds atm in order to improve their credit rating so they can secure long term contracts This would also explain why they are trying to look at other funding options instead of just a RI
" biden is 78 - can the usa not find a younger candidate in touch with the people - omg "
Yes..they have Kamala Harris..how much more in touch do you need??
... Biden and Obama are delegators ..they dont control power and control the media...they delegate and let their people do their jobs....Obama often gave the impression he wasnt doing much...simply because he was good at delegating and creating a team..... Trump is totally the opposite..he cant delegate and is a total control freak...
agreed - i am shooting at that jpm 80 mark
Let these guy believe whatever they want to believe , last week some people were saying same stuff around 200 to make quick 5/10% and all of them have since sold at a loss and moved on.In my opinion a rights issue is imminent and price would be around 100.
arabs bailed out barclays when they went down at the same time as lloyds and rbs were bailed out by the uk goverment
\maybe a good shout
I presume private equity giants will be the businesses interested in ITP Aero
biden is 78 - can the usa not find a younger candiadate in touch with the people - omg
