Denman you want to short and can’t loose..... umm I don’t know with all those buys about 6m.... someone knows something!
Completely agree with you. Covid is here to stay and life will go on and normality will resume. The FTSE is way overdue for a strong rebound. Expect some rapid share price increases sooner or later.
Roydon.
You haven’t seen the news re. Poland and Turkey then ??
Surely just short this ... how can you lose ?
Good to draw a line under this mess, although at a painful cost.
At least RR have the funds to see through the worst case and we can finally move on from the endless shorting and fearmongering to drive the price lower. I don't believe the worst case will happen for several reasons. The world needs to learn to live with CoV19 and advances in airport testing/screening and more pragmatic quarantine rules should be implemented soon. Even if vaccine uptake is poor it will still reduce viral spread and allow the government to implement travel rules (no vaccination, no flight unless preflight negative test). I think folks return to their old habits quickly and I reckon the flight numbers will recover faster than expected.
Hey Smithy .
I am glad I got followers now that follow me around the rooms
I must be very important lol
If you are really interested and want to learn, then read my previous posts , here and in EZJ
You will find that I am not a long term share holder
I go in and out with 3% - 5% profits
plenty of fish in the sea mate
I hope you learn something
Now, how is your short is doing on EZJ ?
It is holding very well above 500 isn't it ?
I think it will open with a gap up tomorrow

Sorry, I dont understand
What is exactly provocative in my question ?
Toff
No worries, I will look it up
Roydon
My brains been working overtime today with all those new shares that have been issued so I’ve have to decline your offer of further calculations.
The last time I was involved in a rights issue was when RBS issued one in the financial crisis. I try to avoid them like the plague.
I sold my rights and never took it up. It turned out to be a good call because we all know what happened next.
I just hope Rolls doesn’t go the same way.

Stop being provocative!

Agree
Any rise will be a bonus before the ex day
You still didn't answer my question about Nil paid rights
Can you give an example of someone holding, say 3000 shares (to make it easy for calculation)
If someone want to sell their "Nil Paid Rights", how much would they be if:
SP = £1
SP = £2
Thanks !

This is exactly what happened with IAG.
IAG rose into the close on the day it announced its rights issue (10th Sept).
Then look what happened:

“That tells me , someone is trying to get in before close.
right ?“
It could be short covering - shorters are buyers too don’t forget.
Tracker funds are also mandatory buyers.
And institutional investors may be seeing value in the current SP
Most likely a combination of all of those

Toff,
That tells me , someone is trying to get in before close.

Tomorrow morning, Gap UP
And I’m not talking about a rally car
Rolls has rallied off its low of 112.55 to the dizzy heights of 116.5
Now there’s a rarity
Encouraging nonetheless
