Thanks for the heads up arsenal. I got my maths right in the end he made a 22% profit not 20. 20% of 91 is 18.2 making 109.2. He sold higher at 22% profit sp 111. Silly me.
correct notrader, its funny how some minds work.
But he bought at 91p not 100p! GIGO
Yezz it’s 20% of the profit your missing the point if he bought £100 and sold them with a 20 p profit then he has made £120 that is a 20% profit. You need to get your maths right mate end of !
20% of 91 is 18.2 selling price would have been 109.2
Each to their own but I prefer to keep that kind of info to myself Arsenal. Sorry for delayed reply I was having my tea.
When it gets to £1.20 (soon) it would have been 32% profit.
20p gain on 91p stake = 22% profit.
Yezz it’s the same % !
Algarve how about a number mate it’s a straight forward question for a number of shares ?
20p would be 20% if buy price was 100 and current price 120.
Just being curious how many shares did you purchase ?
I thought you bought at 91p and sold at 1.11 that is 20 pence margin which equates to 20%
almost enough for a new patio!
that wasn't having a dig I just meant well remembered! :-)
good maths Arsenal 22% actually
20 pence profit each share then Algarve ,I hope you bought a few !
I've sold at 111 might be back after the financials. Should everything goes perfectly folks might begin to start flying in 3 months, till then still losing money every day. It was £2.30 before the pandemic started and we won't be back to those levels of flying hours for years, hence I don't see why the SP should get anywhere near that.
If you trade with IG you get live prices and lots of TA for free.
The mobile app is great, the web platform a bit more complicated.
I sold at 110.9 after reading this post, which I was happy with. Will try to buy bigger position tomorrow at better price and hold(!). Appreciate your insight on level 2 info, which I don't really know much about
@bargain- anyone see any positives ?
Stocks exposed to the hard-hit travel and tourism industries basked in another session of gains on Wednesday.
"Travel stocks enjoyed another day in the sun with the likes of easyJet and International Consolidated Airlines flying higher on reports of strong holiday bookings following England's roadmap to coming out of lockdown," said AJ Bell's Russ Mould.
With the sheer volume of transactions for this share it's impossible to make any predictions. Although, yesterday, during the sudden drop, the price had come down to and was trading at £1.09ish but all of the transactions were going through at £1.07ish to £1.06ish for about 10 minutes before things equalized, despite the spread maintaining it's small value. I had never seen that before.
