Planes starting to fly again. I suggest by June/July time we will all be smiling. It’s been along 12 months but at last there is light at the end of the tunnel The best thing Boris can do to help us is to jump hard on those robbing bas!!!!!! Trying to charge £150 for cv test. To think the Oxford jab is being charged at cost price,
Wow, have to scroll down a long way through green boxes to find a positive post!
What a gift of a drop this is. ITP news and this will be 120p plus.
Yeahsss...slim...that is a good point...I have been thinking of a way to frame something similar myself
Engines ( planes...avionics...and so on ) surely only wear out if they are being used...right ?
So RR will begin to 'push back' ( see what I did there...chuckle ) when the industry as a whole begins to 'take off' ( ahhhh...I crack myself up...( movie ref...damn I'm good at this... Ha ha ha ha ))
Have a great week everyone
Kind regards

Agree market is being overly bearish on RR esp compared to other travel plays. IAG and Easyjet had 15-20% higher breakouts than RR since mid Feb despite the liquidity position for RR being a lot more solid with more to come from ITP Aero sale.
Also RR will see the money the last out of travel companies so natural for them to move up slower as well. In the meantime short term impatience is easy pickings for hedge funds who can take ppl’s money on calls / puts for those jumping in and out on the daily.

I think you’re not just being bearish, you’re being very depressive.
We live our life amongst the threat of variants all the time but have to get on with it.
Covid will not disappear. We will live it like many other unwanted viruses.
You say the South African is here yet numbers are f And we are at last August levels
For goodness sake we cannot lock up forever. You say next year could be better?
Why ? Could be worse who knows.
We take this step at a time and move on. If we don’t we might as well sell up stay in and die of lonely old age .......
Rant over
let’s be realistic you are defiantly going to be right. so you have ranged this in the next few weeks between £1.05 & £1.50!! You sure you don’t want to wide. That target up a little ! Lol
I think 1.50 maybe later in the year Like Oct would be the earliest and it’s more likely to stay under 1.15 for a few more months.
Still a little more bearish. Think it has yet to dip back below 100p.
Global case numbers are, this coming week, about to exceed any previous peak, and are not yet showing signs of slowing. A recovery in global long haul is so vanishingly unlikely this Summer, or even by Fall and it's not unrealistic to expect a seasonal uptick again from variants in the Winter.

Next year seems the more likely timescale for a substantive recovery.
I think, more or less, RR have the liquidity to survive without further RIs, just, but I think there's plenty more short term SP weakness possible.
Even for the UK, which has lately done so well, a major concern has to be that a sizeable part of the vaccination campaign has been with the astrazeneca vaccine, which has ~10% efficacy against preventing the spread of the south africa variant. The south africa variant is already here, and will stay, and as the vaccines suppress the other strains it's not unreasonable to expect the SA variant to become the dominant strain, and requiring, very soon, a renewed booster regime to combat a further wave this autumn. Which will take time again, and undoubtedly dampen the speed of travel easing.
I agree, should be a bullish week here. If they allow US-UK route to open, then this should bounce to 120p, then climb towards 130-150 range. If it's not in the immediate plan, at worst I can see a dip to 105p but even that seems unlikely with the positive mood in the markets now.
I mean Do gooders
You need a vaccine passport forget about the two tier system it is what it is, everyone will get there eventually, and if you don't want the vaccine then that's your issue and I'm sure they can figger it out when it comes to those with medical reasons for not being able to have the vaccine.
For certain destinations you need to be immunised so whats the difference.
Just get on with it ... and tell the due gooders to do one !!!
Only imo obviously .. :)

We are speaking the same language here
Agreed .......
Feel that things will steadily improve now
IPT, vaccines going to plan, and the glimmer of hope that long haul flights will increase for business and pleasure as we move forward
All in my humble opinion of course
