Hahahahahaha
Great
Don’t worry wot Toffnobbington has to say, he loves the sight of his own text. No wonder Barclays had so much trouble in past, look who was working for them
"But your wisdom is wasted on a pro like me"
"Formula = ego - wannabe hotshot trader- ego - dumb luck - short life expectancy- wipe out = busted ego"
ummm, can you see the connection between the 2 lines above ?
These are your words, not mine !
Very amusing indeed :))
Roydon
I wonder why ?
To amuse myself...
Toff
Tof,
Interesting
A pro like you coming here to our worthless opinion board,
But in the mean time, have no position
I wonder why ?
Patience is a virtue

“And I never put all my eggs in one basket (are you listening Tof ? )”
Hahaha. I can see you’ve got it all figured out. But your wisdom is wasted on a pro like me. When I worked on Barclay’s trading floor the guys used to connect to boards like this and **** themselves laughing at the comments. Especially at the posters who actually believed their worthless opinions were influencing shareprice movements.

I don’t have a position(long or short) in Rolls and wouldn’t buy at any price given the uncertainty.
Toff
You are welcome Elev :)
" i will buy in between 50-100 when i am ready"
And if this doesn't happen, and it goes up before that ?
Do you get all your bets right every time ?
No one does !
Thanks Roydon, appreciate it
i wont be waiting for ever- in july i said 101-199 - everyone laughed - not laughing now are they !!! -- i will buy in between 50-100 when i am ready
The problem with waiting is that you might have to wait for ever , as Casa !!
I usually "Drip Feed" in small tranches, so if it goes down, I can average, and if it goes up , then I didn't miss the train.
And I never put all my eggs in one basket (are you listening Tof ? )
GL with your investment.
appreciate that advice Toro - this is my first real step into stock picking (not that i'm taking it lightly, have been looking into Rolls for a while now), rather than just regular fund investments so nice to get as much advice as possible
I'd say don't even consider buying yet until there is clear signs of reversal. If you do, you may be here in 3 months time protesting "but it won't go below 50"...
By clear signs of reversal I mean buy on the 3rd green day in a row after some positive news. Sure, you might miss out on about 20-30% but you may also not miss out on that much. It pays to be more confident and collected - and the premium will be missing the first green day and possibly even the second. Do not jump in on the way down like so many have done and continue to do - such bad investing, and I've made those mistakes before so no judgement, but you don't want to put yourself in that situation unless you are literally gambling and are happy go lucky if you loose your money or not.
do you think that i should only buy in once the funding route has been confirmed? Seems to be strong market reaction to any positive news, regardless of how speculative it is (like late on Friday) - don't want to miss the boat. I guess its weighing up the benefit of there being a potential RI driving the price down vs the potential upside lost when the market jumps when an alternative source of funding is confirmed? tricky one
wait for to go lower - they are over priced at the moment imho
especially with a potential fund raise coming
Looking to make my first buy of rolls sometime soon - finding it difficult waiting for the potential rights issue and considering the pros/ cons of waiting... can anyone offer their thoughts please? Interested to hear other opinions
