Bitcoin will flop, sooner rather than later. It will never be a replacement to fiat currency. Other cryptocurrencies maybe, but never bitcoin. Don't be fooled because some bigger investors bought in. It's all speculation. Nothing whatsoever to do with its use as a payment form. Some people are going to lose absolute fortunes because of it. It will be legendary. Good luck to those who make money from it in the short term.
As for Deliveroo, they will never make a profit. They are one of the big dogs for sure, but they are all dogs and all lose money and all need put down. How are they ever going to make money? They are already expensive to use and still haemorrhage money.
Goldman Sachs are a joke too and had to be bailed out like half the others. These guys make easy money in a rigged system and then need to be rescued when they fail miserably.
Worst share chat I came across yet - Dyor
Spindler AML is fine example of a company that was over valued, SP crashed all the way down to pennies, additional investment needed to be raised and shareholders have been diluted. I guess we can see the same happening here.
Prediction - ROO could fall by as much as a pound in a day as panicked shareholders stampede to the exit.
And I am rarely wrong.
I certainly wouldn;t want to argue with the Toff on ay of this. The salt in the wounds would be if Roo looks at a rights issue or other new fund raising avenues in the future.
Have been following TUI, Govt bailout, rights issue and now they are issuing convertible bonds. now Tui through no fault of it's own has been pole axed by the lockdown insanity. One commenator didn;t rule out another rights issue. I couldn;t believe the debenhams pre pack admin that wiped out holders all to keep the management in their jobs . Ashley had a firm offer on the table and the business would still be running under him. They knew he would have booted all the management team so they did what was in their interests.
I stare agog at this Deliveroo shambles will be interesting to see how it all plays out. If a company is really worth something like Snowflake, retail doesnt get a look in until it's gone to the moon. This was doing the opposite ebfore the IPO with the institutions sitting it out, whatever they said were just excuses. If they had seen money they would have been in like Flyn
Lot more buying than selling
That may well be so but how many are speculators just trying to flip a quick profit ? And are they hedged ?
The question was : "When is the dead cat gonna hit the floor. I thought it might have been 2.50 but still falling"
Answer : I don't think Felix Baumgartner has even fallen as far as this cat will !
Vol. Sold 2,085,034
Sold Value £5m
Vol. Bought 3,360,222
Bought Value £8m
Lot more buying than selling
Reminds me of that line in animal house after they trashed the fat blokes's brothers car. "hey you ****ed up, you trusted us" The "us" being the ones behind bringing this lemon to the market
Why did any retail investor invest in this when they saw institutions sitting it out having laid out their concerns ? The thing that stuck out like a sore thumb to me was the founder maintaining control after the IPO. That was a huge no no to me. Investors rarely want leaders binned but they need to be able to do so if required. You are just passengers otherwise ! Looks like it was just a payday and business as usual with some much needed bunce in the coffers, all funded by those who invested
When is the dead cat gonna hit the floor. I thought it might have been 2.50 but still falling
Good to see this worthless loss making company start to fall to it's correct price. Hopefully less than a quid. Joke valuation run by a bunch of jokers.
Klozza - not everything Amazon touches will turn to gold! That applies to this one as much as any other.
Nothing is going to save this loss making turkey!
Amazon must be naive then?
Agree -strong short. Is it worth even a few pence? The model is loss making and its operating in a highly competitive environment. Nothing unique about Deliveroo whatsoever and now lock down is easing quite a bit, I see no reasons to own these shares whatsoever... Strong strong sell! Good luck holders.... you're going to need nerves of steel to stay in this one.
Strong short.
I haven't bought in but at some point there will be an opportunity.
When it approaches 170p I may decide not to bother.
£1 seems too hopeful, but certainly not a DEB at the moment.
All I see locally is drivers swarming the fast food outlets with blue bags.
So obviously some interest in the service.
Agree - this could easily fall a £1 in a day or more... £1000 investments are worth £650... that fall is nothing... this company has no USP, loads of competition, heavily loss making and will be subject to enhanced regulation. Strong sell!

“My first target is 170 for a buy. Certainly not yet.”
Why would you buy into this company at all?
At any price?
It’s a busted flush.
For those who bought Debenhams at 180p
And those the bought it at 5p
The loss was exactly the same.
You need to research the hundreds of other companies on the market not get fixated on this dog.
The only way this share could prosper is if it turns into a Ponzi scheme like GameStop Tesla or Bitcoin. But it would still be worthless.
Comparisons with Facebook are asinine. That’s like comparing a retailer with a mining company or a pick n mix shop with an investment bank. Facebook derives just about all its income from advertising revenue.
How much does ROO make from advertising.
Nothing!
It has to pay to advertise.
Forget the numbers
The 390 float price doesn’t make it cheap at 170p
Nor at 5p
ROO is destined to fail
Destined never to make a profit
Destined to go cap in hand to its investors for a bailout. But that will only prolong the agony and delay the inevitable.
Prediction - ROO could fall by as much as a pound in a day as panicked shareholders stampede to the exit.
And I am rarely wrong.
Caitlin could not agree more. I shorted last week and will add when the dead cat bounces.
My first target is 170 for a buy. Certainly not yet.
Bale out while you can. This is a shorters dream.
