Some fantastic knowledge and research shared on the telegram group with OMM if anybody is interested. It’s a good friendly place for people wanting to gain a better understanding of Rockfire and their project(s). Make love not war. We are all in this together. I wish everyone nothing but success. Positive vibes only -Bazza
It’s refreshing to see some positivity on this board. Also a man who speaks sense. I applaud you fella. ??
Prospector I can go further and say the market has been surprised by the first hole.
It was the weakest mineralised of the historic holes as demonstrated by one of the slides in the last two presentations. The next hole should be 0.35% if it matches historic results as hole one did. I have a telegram chat if you want to join. We are all shareholders, mostly investors, in it to win it!
Prospector
If you look back at the news in August, rock announced that they were in negotiations for land access ahead of diamond drilling at copperdome. If you also look at rockfire's website then you will see that historic drills at copperdome produced substantially better results than copperhead. And so my opinion is that copperdome has the potential to produce good results. Today's news makes it clear that negotiations at copperdome must be still ongoing and the drill has been diverted to plateau instead.
Decent points there, Prospector. If I may say, I think you’ll have persuaded more people with that post than the one calling people morons!
Metal, the first hole included higher grade sections lower down. Even so, at this point it doesn't tell us much except that it is the upper layer of the porphyry, but the chalcopyrite veining was getting better in subsequent drill holes with closer veining and more interstitial chalcopyrite. In any case, its way to early to know if Copperhead will ever be mined or not. As far as the theory that drilling has been dropped due to the results from only the first hole is nonsense. Waiting to see all drill results before further drilling is the approach all prudent explorers use, even when they have a high conviction that higher grades will be found. I think the diagram of a typical porphyry structure was provided to help people without geological knowledge to understand what they are targeting, but I think David Price genuinely believes there are higher grade zones to be found. He understands the nature of the upper layers of a porphyry deposit and has had a second opinion on that too. These five holes were a necessary requirement to verify and qualify the historic and incomplete drilling. They stopped because they need to get a clear picture of the mineralisation to verify its geology and orientation, etc. This is standard stuff with a new exploration target. If you are aware of the history of Havieron for example, Greatland Gold only sunk 4 holes in the first campaign and waited for all results before designing the second campaign.
Hi Prospector. It’d be fair enough to say “take this hole on its own merits; more results to come; review the whole picture at the end”. But if you take this hole on its own merits, it’s disappointing full stop. 0.14% is rubbish, never going to get mined. Nobody wants to say that, so instead we get this notion that the drilled section is not the real target, that’s just a bit deeper down. And it’s presented as though we know it’s there, we get a diagram suggesting we know where it is, and so on. That’s what begs the question, if you’re so confident about the real target, why have you just sunk 5 holes into something that’s not the real target and then stopped?
Abuse noted, thank you
I go by the share price here. The history of it, and the promises made by another ramping crew, of which I have seen many.... n that to date have had Zippo impact here.
You recall the big rerate up next stuff from a few months back.... You should.....
It wasn't me that insulted people. Said they knew nothing... We're morons etc.... Well you may have even a bit of credibility if the share price action had been anything to brag about. But it wasn't and it isn't......Though even then your superior method is hardly appealling chum.
I will return to analysis the Carlson v Nepo championship games. Which fyi I am more than qualified to do, even you think I am a knuckle dragger.... I find them far more stimulating than discourse with the rampers here....
Will leave you to continue to put back the day of delivery here to ? Feb, June .... Whenever....
StrummerJones, from your response I can see exactly what type your. You think with your fists. Case in point.
hornygoatweed, you are not doing the analysis at Rockfire, thank god. DP is not making drilling decisions based on short term price movements, or on what you would like. You have no idea what you are going on about.
Feed ourselves by investing in shares that are not lifestyle and deliver Prospector.
You are a very arrogant type. Brave over a keyboard. No doubt less so in the flesh....
I'd rather they chase up drilling at copperdome, where the assay results are substantially better at 15m at 0.88 etc. I'd like deeper drilling there. I think that they'll prove up plateau while the gold price is strengthening and then go to copperdome, with results for copperhead decent enough for a preliminary jorc to add to the bottom line.
Many of the messages being posted here are simply moronic. We only have results for the first hole. No responsible junior explorer is going to just keep blindly drilling before they have a good sample of lab results to work with. A couple of the drill cores are still being analysed and logged, so it won't be until at least February before David can plan the next stage. It makes sense to do something over at Plateau instead of just twiddling their thumbs while waiting. The utter stupidity of some on here is mind numbing. How do they work out how to feed themselves?
Yeah but thats not dropping deeper at the Copperhead site under discussion. It's many Kilometers away at Plateau is it not ...
We were talking about proving up the sub 500m area where they are, and where the hype is. Not leaving it dangling with these type of nothing much grades at the higher level and up sticking and moving on. Rather actually proving the theory here No?
Hi StrummerJones, They are doing a 1000M drill towards the magnetic anomaly - covered in the article.
Yep nice n' quiet https://www.globalminingreview.com/exploration-development/29112021/rockfire-resources-provides-copperhead-drilling-update/
100% Metal.
If they can get on a roll with a lower level drill or two that actually finds something worthwhile.... Why not?
Then if they need money to expand the sub 500 area it will get justification and support from all of us....
Seems totally the way to go now. Prove the theory of the big Ore body, and along the way something that's going to excite and not bore the market as this update has....
But then again slowly slowly means they can call on more funds on the promise, always the promise.... Bite the bullet now leaves no where to go if it flops...cynical maybe, but the CEO has to decide if this is serious or just the lifestyle share he's enjoyed to date. What has it been 5.8 million quid in a few years on placings n warrents.... DP needs to produce something here and now surely....
Hi Strummer. Yeah, “there’s better stuff deeper” doesn’t do it for me. It could be the case but I don’t like the certainty with which it’s presented when in reality it’s a guess, albeit an educated one. Also, if there’s such a strong belief in it why not put a couple of drill holes into the real target now, rather than nipping off to Plateau?
Hi Metal.
Saw the 2 RNS. So logged on to see the reaction. As it's been months since the ramptastic promises of big rerates imminant and next up from the pumpers...
Market has just said clearly.... So far, so what..... &"Phut" to this update sadly....
The grades look very low.... I know I was pulled up by some of the amateur GEOs on here for daring to suggest that this project, as it's volume is far far bigger than them didn't need the 2% plus that RMM for example routinely has.... But really 0.14% best on the big rerate & long overdue for RNS.... No wonder the markets ignoring it...?
I am sure that deeper down comes the big Ore body etc etc. Will be the line now.... Once these hand full of top level drills are over then I guess it's in to the new year cap in hand to "replenish" the coffers then...
But looks like for now then back to sleep on this one and still waiting for some proper news that actually moves and holds the SP...
This share is a Talking Heads one once again.....EG.
"Same as it ever was"!
Great update, weather not the best for next 5-7 days with thunder storms, so hopefully be drilling again in couple of weeks at Plateau
