Toploadermike, lol!!

Thanks Torreaguas...I stand corrected. I think the mask is merely the opportunity of the moment. It’s a bit unfortunate that the fate of the share price is resting currently on just this single news item (given the huge opportunities in GyroMetric for example). Anyways, we seem to be riding a wave of good sentiment and I m not complaining :)
You are protected from patent pending status and once granted the patent lasts 20 yrs
I looked briefly at the patent question. Essentially a product can come to market with a “patent pending” status. This doesn’t confer any LEGAL right to protection, but warns competitors or copy cats that there is such a product. Obviously once the product gets the patent, we get protection. I think it gives the co four years.
We need to remember that Dr Cave and his team have been looking at much bigger markets which include crop nutrition-replacing traditional fertilisers and increasing yield/taste/shelf life, faster cycles, hydroponics in cannabis market, the citrus greening disease which has reduced oranges production by 50% in less than ten years (we are using zinc in a nano particle organic compound form). The company “designs” products to suit various needs, so the list could be endless.
Once a textile is invented, it could be modified for gowns, hospital linen etc. Filters have been mentioned which is an important market. (ventilating and ensuring air change is key to reducing the risk from the virus)
I think gloves are an important item that creates cross contamination. A nano coating on it, that destroys any virus/bacteria would be amazing.
The move into the Covid related product is merely one example of the company seeking opportunities and at the same time helping humanity.
On the idea of re-usable masks, the textile being reusable is different from the entire mask being washable. I don’t think any one (not just P2F, I mean any manufacturer) is aiming to produce a washable surgical type mask. The ordinary face covering type masks which are washable, exist already but they put clear disclaimers on them-saying they are neither PPE nor medical devices. Some have tried to create a mask that has a removable filter, but the issue is that the entire mask becomes infected with virus, which then becomes a “fomite” through which infection can spread. Also infected masks left in work places, handled repeatedly etc create new risks. So I doubt health care would encourage re-use. Of course it has huge foot print environmentally given (I think) they get incinerated like other infectious waste. So for now, its disposable masks-current masks tend to become LESS effective after 1-2 hours given the level of moisture inside them. Above are just my thoughts-happy to be corrected on any points.
stick to the mask guys, its market plenty big enough. The market for this will last for years and years and the possibilities for disposable, reusable, mass market and premium masks is unreal.
THIS MASK KILLS COVID 19! what more do we need?
Fair point Bushmaster, but you get my gist :) GLA

Toploadermike, dyson, I think a Henry is the killer vac out there.
The list goes on and on, a filter for your home Dyson air filtration system maybe? GLA
TLM.
Great point Torre, and the same applies to air filtration systems and alike, possible mass sale or licensing to Siemens HVAC and similar companies . Clean that air that people are breathing in and out in multi occupant areas, again Massive! GLA

P2F could make and sell the nano filter layer seperate to the mask. This is already done for other masks.
Make a washable 3 ply mask with a filter pocket. Slide the nano anti viral filter into place after washing. Simples.
Sell packs of 10, 20, 50 Covid 19 killing filters with a reusable mask with filter pocket and you make an absolute fortune.
You'll need to try and beat me to them spare shares in the morning tomvisual :) GLA
TLM..
Looked at the results RNS. It references disposable face masks!
Does not mention washable.
I have emailed Graeme Todd at P2F to enquiry.
If successful, P2F will seek both to manufacture disposable face masks in-house and to licence its technology to major face mask producers, in order to supply a global market which generated global revenues of $1.52 billion in 2019 and is estimated to reach $2.45 billion by 2027, registering a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 4.4% from 2021 to 2027 (Source: Allied Market Research report May 2020).

Iceman, perhaps we may all need to be bolder in our targets here?
Time will tell, time will tell.
Holding BRH for gold (test and textiles).
Will invest in RMS tomorrow as LTH. Hold for gold!
It doesn't matter if it can be washed for the current application because the mask is 'disposable', but it would be very useful to know more about the materials properties including this, for the future applications. Of which I am sure there will be many.

For the record the question on reusability is my stetch target for the Company to answer!
No one has stated if the TEXTILES can be washed!
Would shareholders see more value in the product if it is hand washable?
That's another interesting question for the BoD?
Newtothis123...
Do not worry.
Follow the sales!!!
I recall the same duscussion about Novacyt vs Avacta. Look where Novacyt are now!
Follow the money!!
The share price will then rerate, big time!!
Thanks everyone. Will um and ah over a beer this evening!

Background on RMS? Not sure, but BRH have invested in P2F, Paraytec and RMS.
What a combination!
Looks like a sound investment to me as a shareholder!!!
Newtothis123...
Braveheart invested further in P2F this year, taking its holding to 52%. BRH is the majority holder!! As BRH are also providing significant management resource to it BRH are deemed to have 'control'. The consequence of this is that BRH have had to consolidate the accounts of this company, which forms a part of our Strategic Investments, into the BRH Group accounts!
Excellent!
The directors of Braveheart believe that by combining the two shareholdings of P2F in RMS, and thereafter retaining a significant interest in RMS, the business prospects for P2F can be more rapidly exploited and resourced thus enabling Braveheart to continue having an economic interest in P2F without the continuing requirement to fund P2F. The directors of Braveheart intend to retain the RMS Consideration Shares for the foreseeable future.
Hope this answers your query!!!
Thanks bushmaster.
"The manufacturing process for this new formulation, along with its antiviral, antibacterial and antiparasitic properties has now been submitted as a patent application by P2F to protect its
Straightforward patent in this case hence should be granted by the time production starts.
Fair point. I suppose a good company always needs to keep diversifying into new areas to stay ahead and different to their competitors. Do we ha e background on the RMS directors for their track record?
As far as I understand, the patent should be sorted i.e. granted by the time production starts in December.
Newtothis123 - Have a look at the BoD for both companies. They have their hands in numerous pies, all seem to of been around the block a few times. The product works, ticks a box. Reusable, a question. Route to market - B2B/B2C, their contacts in the pharma world, you would expect that as given with BRH. Retail sectors, supermarkets, branded sports events, the list is endless. Down to them to push forward, one good retail contract, say Tesco staff/customers and the PR will fly in - Contacts come to you, that is really the way it works when you got the ball going down the mountain.
Personally, I feel these masks will sell themselves, as surely customers will, or at least should be queuing at the door.
As to patents, most products that I have seen come to market, do so pre patent, reason being is that a grant of patent can take many months, and therefore if the delay to produce and sell is significant, a rival could sneak in taking sales.
What is far more important initially, is the ISO certification, that has proven the the mask works.
If anyone has a knowledge of patent law, could they answer this question......If a company puts an application forward, would that application be looked at for granting before a following patent of the same or similar tech is considered.
I think the same applies to all companies who expand their scope, just like the printer company you mentioned before. GLA
