Ok, no problem.
Come back in one year
I own more than I wanted as I averaged down due to the current situation. I’m approx 1.80 average which I’m comfortable with.
I’m not emotional of the facts.
If your looking at world figures, approx 58,000,000 people die each year. Covid-19 % of that is tiny.
Ok, ONS.gov figures must be incorrect. Look them up for yourself.
All I’m saying is the official figures don’t lie.
@Onelong Are you on the same planet as everyone else. When has the whole world ever had to isolate because of the flu. Look at what is happening in New York alone and the USA as a whole because Trump probably thinks like you. If we didn't adopt the approach we have been doing then this would be worst than the Spanish flu of 1918 which took 250,000 lives in this country and millions across the world.
All I’m saying is the overall UK deaths this year are no higher than previous years. Surely something that causes this much hysteria would show a spike in the death rate in comparison to the previous 5 years, which in this case doesn’t.
onelongrunner I am not sure if you are being serious or not, but surely you can't think that what happened back in May or August or previous months has any bearing on what's happening now?
Looking at ONS overall death rates for this year, they are down on the 5 year average rates. Which tells me the current crisis is not actually a crisis.
Phew! Where can I get one?
that is a load of tosh. Novacyt specifically look for covid 19 strain. Results within 2 hours.
Expert on the radio said that it's not possible to test specifically for covid-19 just for coronavirus it general of which there are several strains including the common cold. Not sure where that leaves us.
As expected the actual death toll is higher than currently reported, it doesn't say what date these people were first diagnosed and only covers up to 20th March
"New figures from the Office for National Statistics suggest the death toll is a quarter higher than has been reported until now.
Nearly three quarters of deaths involved those aged 75 and over, with just one death involving a person under the age of 45.
The statistics - which only cover the period up until March 20 - show 210 deaths in England and Wales, where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate.
These compare to the 170 deaths reported by NHS England and Public Health Wales over the same period".
