That was part of the point i was trying to make.
I have:
227 x 4 shares @ launch of £3.30
1000 @ £3.24
1046 @ £2.89
2046 @ £2.355
A total of 5000
With stamp duty etc the stand me @ £2.828
However with dividends etc (various tranches) as all bought at 4 different times my break even is £2.37.
This obviously does not take into account what i would have saved if I had put the money into my mortgage, however it is not a frightening position of loss.
My rambling point is that if I as an absolute novice can work out what a share stands me after income from that share is included, surely someone as savvy an knowledgeable with regards to the Market as Mr Falkland seems to be, would know the same.
Fruitster
unless i have not understood something you could not have brought at 1.87 on 15/8 and still got the Final 17p dividend in 2019 as it was already Ex at that point, so surely the real bottom is actually 1.868 - 0.075 making bottom 1.793
Was aimed at Falkland, have watched avidly for some time now, his target seems to be like fog, you cant quite grasp it and then it moves
Please tell me when its rock bottom, I'll buy as well
Falkland. You are accused of pure fantasy and worse. Instead of saying the evidence exists despite the fact we cannot find any. Why not find the posts yourself and prove they exist. Post them here complete with headers.
For anyone not aquainted with Falkland this is his method. We will not see any evidence because it's all a LIE!
For future reference when Falkland denies my various posts of purchases below 200p.
I posted my most recent top up of 199p
204.26 Price increase 6.06 (3.06%)

Falkland is someone that renaged on his obligation to pay a tenner to charity! can he ever be trusted?
He talks of property in Clerkenwell which he has done before but lives in Essex.
He often mentions calling it down but only once admitted to calling it 700+ just before it dropped. So we are to believe he sold while calling it up. Like we are to believe he closed his shorts without mentioning it until now :-)))))
He will also make a point of mentioning my buying stock at higher rates. He never once acknowledges that I sold a percentage of my holding @ 628p which I posted in real time as is usually the case for me. Unlike others that miraculously reduce their average but don't mention until it's achieved.
In short Falkland will never be honest, it doesn't suit his purpose.
Fruitster thanks for another very helpful and informative post.
If Oligarch is right and letter volume decline reaches a tipping point this year, 2020/21 may be a annus horribilis for UKPIL. I see a perfect storm arising with FCF increasingly becoming an issue.
Honestly laughed out loud reading sub 100sp 20/21.
Well if you take the dividends paid out into account you have now reached your target price my friend , are you buying now ? I’m pleased at present that I got all my capital back .
