ff where are you when needed...lol?
best person to ask is feline....
Gentlemen. We are not equipped to reach a satisfactory conclusion. Isle has used "I believe" a number of times therefore indicating he is unsure of his statements and I am a novice who believes there could be (and should be) a financial interest in Anguard if RMG are passing business. Perhaps when we are sure of our facts we could reach a conclusion.
sure angard is part of the rmg... have a look at the ...https://www.royalmailchat.co.uk
@ Redceo.
I'm not sure what point you are making.
I said that I didn't know how overtime would be allocated.
What I did say was that it would be more expensive to use casuals than RMG staff.
Therefore detrimental to profits.
If the overtime issues that I mentioned earlier, persist, then it would be cheaper to employ more staff than continually use casuals.
The hierarchy at RMG really do need to see the bigger picture here.
And before anyone says it, I know I got my name wrong!!
I Spy
@ Boark.
First 10 hours at an enhanced rate. Then the rest at time. SA overtime is enhanced again, plus pensionable.
Casuals are paid for time, not overtime.
I Soy
Isle.
Is overtime paid at standard rate or an enhanced rate?
Isle. As we are not clear on the ownership of Anguard we can't really reach a conclusion. I did do a very quick search and came across a statement that backed up my thoughts. However it was not verified.
My thought is if an employee is refusing overtime the company utilises what manpower it can. If the employee continually refuses overtime it should thereafter be offered to another first
They pay between 18 and 20 pound an hour for Angard staff more for other agency staff.
@ Redceo.
Let me explain.
The last time we had casuals in our office they signed in and signed out.
They then got paid for those hours after it was verified by a manager, plus I believe a break.
These casuals were supplied by angard. Who I believe also have to be paid to supply these people. Otherwise they would go bust!!
So 1 casual paid for on his / her terms for doing 1 complete 4 hour delivery. Plus redirection, bundling up, etc.
The maximum they would pay a postie is 6 hours.
How many hours do you think these casuals claim for?
How can you say that RMG do not pay more?
Not forgetting my earlier post about 3 casuals doing 1 delivery.
That ain't forward planning by RMG, that's stupidity.
I Spy
Goodnight everyone.
Isle. They may be paying twice but not necessarily more
red neither have I.... goodnight all... maybe truth hurts some people
Wolves were have had so much unpleasantness here recently. Isle has not been aggressive at all this evening.
@ Redceo.
See my 17.47 post.
I should add IMO.
I Spy
Wolves, you haven't said anything to upset.
Isle is my understanding correct with regard to Anguard and RMG connection
@ Oli G.
I think RMG retain casuals via angard and these are the first ones they call on. Normally Xmas work but can be used in delivery offices too.
I believe that they actually have pay numbers.
The fact remains though that RMG are paying an agency and a casual, so therefore detrimental to any profits.
As I said earlier, they get paid to go over too.
I Spy
oli has someone hacked my account? what have I said wrong?
Goodnight Wolves
Wolves, it's a good thing job that you are not a manager otherwise you would be in s bit of trouble.
It's okay to do that in outside industry apparently!
isle what you on about??? you want a row with me and not going to give you one so goodnight
Red, I'm not sure about a link between Angard and RM although it has been hinted before. It would certainly make sense.
@ wolvesposty.
Who's name calling??
You're the one mentioning militants in your office!!
It would appear that you are trying to stoke the fire, probably because you know I'm right.
I Spy
ok red I better go... lol.
