There has been no figure quoted by the CWU. In line with inflation is the best i can offer. Although i don't think the CWU expect 10%. It makes me laugh when i hear that inflation will go down. I know it will, but the price we pay for everyday goods will not. This is the new starting point for CPI and RPI.
And regarding the CWU stance on the derisory pay rise: RMG have just given 400 million quid to shareholders. If the business cannot pay the very people who facilitated this, what chance does the company have. Is it any wonder we're a tad unhappy.
And don't get me started on the new conditions RMG want!!!

Do you honestly believe I care what some say here. There are those whose opinions carry weight and should they question me I would give their opinion serious consideration.

Ispy that is good to hear. I know how emotive and difficult it becomes. Looks like we are in for a real summer of discontent just saw that some parts of BT have voted for action. Very harsh set of events and circumstances in lots of areas making things even more difficult then normal. I can always hope for a resolution but seems very unlikely. One question I'm not sure has been answered, what are the CWU actually asking for? How far apart are they?

Of course you can.
It is made very clear that anything derogatory towards these people could result in the sack. That includes calling people by their nicknames and exclusion. It's odd how paranoid these people become though. How everyone is talking about them behind their backs. In and out of the managers office, complaining about nothing. If they want to torture themselves, that's fine by me. So in short, of course i will treat them with respect and dignity.

Back to IA. I know several managers who are extremely pleased with their ballot result. They are prepared to walk or work to rule. It's odd how lower level management now know how we feel. In fact, i would say that instead of trying to persuade us, the real workers, not to strike, they fully understand why we're doing it. 200 quid saved towards my strike fund. Thanks Simon.
