Personally I've been given more work ,now on my break which I used to take at end of delivery but now no going home early
On a busier day I now will not have time to finish my delivery.
Quality of service may suffer as we all used to go quicker to finish early but now steady walking all day .
Ned777 thanks for your response. I am sure anything "official" will make it easier for people to fully understand what is going on and make informed decisions. I am hopefully that the true spirit of joint working as per all the recent agreements will prevail as damaging the business weakens everyone's future prospects.
Oligarch many thanks for your link and it summarises what is in the current agreements. I agree Rico was obviously not a fan of Sue hopefully the agreed processes will be followed and any disagreements resolved and escalation would benefit no one.
I've no access to anything" official " .
Each office seems to have different start and finish times ,often dependant on distance from the local "Hub office " .
It's a race to the bottom ,pricing is key ,public don't want to pay for posting items especially from large Organisations hence the other Couriers drive like madmen trying to get as much done as possible.
We at RM don't have that ..yet
Wit is worth reminding people of the events such as Peter loo who died for workers rights. Those people who are effectively brown arming with consequences which are costly for the rest of the workforce. Those needing overtime to make up the hours will be overlooked.
My problem with people coming in early for free is it's taking away overtime that should be paid for and not accounting for workload correctly which is why so many offices have such disparity between walks
JB, this is on the CWU site.

Although I don't think that Rico likes it as it was signed by Sue Whalley who was the first senior manager to be shown the door by Rico onhis first day in the big chair :-(
HeresHopin, give this a read.

Why do you have a problem with someone wanting to come in early? Maybe they enjoy it or have nothing better to do. What do you do, watch the clock until it ticks to your start time before you start? I bet you don't do the same when it's time to go home.
With regards to sick pay yes we are and it's a great benefit. Takes the worry off being off ill 3 days before you're entitled to sick pay however I see people abusing it in my office. Theyres some who take the same time off every year sick and work the system.
The hour off this year took the spare time people had on jobs to the bone and it's just encouraging the idiots to come in even earlier for free . It will just see more cut offs.
We've supposedly been having a revision for years but nothings ever come of it. You dont need to preach to me I'm also in the Union and onboard with the direction were going.
@ GTx.
I'll think you find that all RMG employees are entitled to sick pay. I've been with RM for 30 years and my sickness benefits are no different to somebody who's been there 30 months. Assuming of course that the person has passed their probationary period. Which, i'm sure you'll know, includes how many times you've been sick.
Does that resonate with you???
And regarding the extra hour we are about to lose. I'll make this easy for you. You are paid to work 38 (soon to be 37) hours a week. Why is that a struggle?
1 - You come in at your time.
2 - You finish at your time.
3 - You take your paid for meal breaks.
4 - If you think you might not be able to complete you tell a manager. Let them guide you as to what you should do.
5 - You don't kill yourself on delivery.
6 - If you want to work overtime, work it.
It really is that simple. You do understand, don't you GTx?

I cant see how they can take another hour off the week. In my office since they've adjusted the hours down to 38 it's a struggle. No idea how another hour off the week will work when were about to get busy again in the next few weeks. And as for these proposed decidated parcel delivery jobs later in the day. They just havent got a clue.
I do however agree with the point about the old timers abusing sick pay. Some of the sick people have in our office is an absolute joke. It's got to a point where some of them have the same periods off every year almost like extra holiday. Going to ruin it for us all.
@ JB.
The reduction is meant to come from the start time. So you do the same manual work in less time, apparently get out of the door for delivery at the same time, and finish at the same time. More work done in less hours.
It all gets a little more complicated the more you drill into the details. But that's the essence of it.
No biggie as far as i'm concerned. You start later and finish at the same time. If you can't complete, you fail. Simple.

Ned777 would be really handy if there were any official documents showing what has been delivered and what changes are being proposed. Do you have anything you can share? My understanding from the agreements is the SWW is only delivered if productivity is improved to make it self funding. Do you know if these numbers have been hit? I agree with you opinion on USO and I think that may be why Ofcom brought forward the review and the initial findings will be communicated in Q3.
I'll be out in Strike , we had an Agreement,Rico wants to break it .
Shorter working week promised , heels being dragged by RM.
There is not much spare time most days anymore.
RM want lots of flexibility, the way I see it is ...The USO gets abandoned and the idea of a single price across the UK will disappear. Eventually Letters will be delivered on ' every other day " Parcels will continue but later delivery
The last strike threat was 2018 when Moya caved in. The 2013 threat was gazumped by the government because they fast tracked privatisation in October before the union could organise a strike making it pointless. This might be a tactic of this management also. Trouble ahead regardless.
Madasaballoon I am sure this will all be resolved at mediation if it even gets that far. But great news to hear that everyone is happy with the agreements as these can then all be delivered jointly and the changes will really benefit both sides.
Right let me reiterate no one and I mean no one was paid 300 pound. What gets reported in the press is not always reality. That was the best supported IA this union had ever taken I recall
Ahh the union bashers are out Nuri sell up if you want like anyone will care your holding is a drop in the ocean so do one. Arsenal the same tired drivel from you no substance just bile as usual. You see RM signed up to an agreement everyone was happy with it until RB turned up. Well and agreement is just that and we will not back down on this one not a hope in hell. RM back off or there will be IA this year make no mistake about it. As for Fruit, he quoted payments of 300 pound for strike breakers during the last big dispute. What complete and utter drivel they never paid anything of the sort. As for agency staff being used during any dispute, good luck with that then that would cause utter chaos I can assure you of that. And in any case there aint 120000 agency staff across the country available to fulfil the requirement certainly not in my area. You see there will be much better employment opportunities for these people during what is the busiest time for agency workers. Get real we have heard this drivel every single time we have taken action it has never made a jot of difference ever. Bring on the fight we are ready you can be sure of that.
I’m afraid this is because there are some unions who will work with management and get the best for the members and the good of the company, look at the railways and Rmg these 2 unions are the most militant that are left they still think they are in the 70s and only see what is good for there members and themselves Selfish ,they don’t care about the business ask some of the realistic genuine postman or women on here how the old school play the system take advantage of sick pay etc ,these unions have No morals the CWU and RMT are a throwback to the Scargill days and we know what happened to him , why should any union hold people to ransom like the above try to do one word Dinosaurs ??
