Digital clocking in, is not taking anything away from you. What would you want for a change which brings you up to date with technology? Or is this more to do with the years of abuse of the current system?
Regarding clocking in. I start early every day and don't go until I'm called of so I don't have an issue with it. But why should I agree to a change in my terms without getting something back in return? That is management sentiment and so the workers expect the same.
Scampthedog great news on the forecast volume increases not sure if that is overall or parcels/letters. I know many of our major customers are very slow in providing forecasts to our planners and certainly with the likes of Amazon the account managers when they get into the detailed planning have numerous iterations to contend with and the dedicated Amazon Christmas planners end up on daily calls with next day forecasts and changes to subsequent days based on Amazon customer order volumes. It is a mammoth task aligning trailers/yorks etc and this applies to numerous large customers so very much subject to change.. But as I say good news on initial numbers.
I assume you are referring to the LTB that was issued 4 days ago or is it another document? Hopefully we might even get an update from TP tonight given discussions have been ongoing since that note was issued.
I thought the last update said numerous aspects had been progressed and agreed including a biggie in this current climate namely "no compulsory redundancies" so abit more than the nothing you are suggesting.
No SWW hours are owed they may well be included in new agreements but as has been the case from day 1 need to be fully self funding. They don't get given for nothing in return. Yep agree re pay deal 1 or 3 years seems a sticking point but will eventually be resolved. Re clocking in why should anyone be concerned about it if they are working as agreed and is standard practice in most large organizations.
So IMO very slow progress but somethings have been agreed and hopefully more have been sorted this week.
