Poor taste Teslo. You whinge about posters plagiarizing ur oeuvre on here, and you come up with lame material like that.
Found the article I mentioned, I wasn't close with London it was the Nottingham Post. I assume this has been cascaded internally.

handyman10 I saw your post from earlier yesterday, very wise to assess who you are listening too, it does help listening to balanced points of view.
Ispy re volumes it does seem to be a pretty similar story across the country letters down and packets and parcels well up. Some quotes saying triple the packets maybe a bit of an exaggeration. My ex colleague works with the Business accounts teams and her quote of currently very high volumes and extra collections being made will be accurate. Re Amazon its true we are involved in the delivery of the kits but Terry P made a comment about us taking on 20% of traffic from Amazon. I was unsure if he meant handling some of the kits directly or some of their other traffic like Prime items. I also saw an article pop up on my phone last night saying delivery office hours and in particular CSP were changing wef from Monday CSP I am sure it said 0700am-0900am I cant find it at the moment it was either on a London Paper or Radio news site. If I can find I will post. It must be very tough at the moment and I admire peoples resolve in keeping the service going. Priority number 1 still remains all employees and their families health and safety.
@ISpy
Yes, similar patterns from a D.O in Scottish Borders where my niece is a postie.
As for the testing kits, extract from RMG site
“ Royal Mail is playing a key role in the fight against coronavirus by being a key partner in the delivery and return of coronavirus tests to NHS and social care frontline staff. This new initiative will enable NHS staff to do a coronavirus test at home, and then return their sample for testing.“
And let’s hope that these test kits will be sent out ASAP......
@ JBT. handyman.
Packets have definitely increased in my office. Definitely not at xmas levels though.
For balance, letters are down.
What I find interesting is the amount of Amazon (prime labels on) that are coming through.
I would suggest that we are picking up their slack.
Testing kits I believe are being delivered by RMG and Amazon. We will fulfill our side of the deal, will they?
The returns we are handling within our CSP's and parcel box drop offs.
Thanks for that JB, until you posted I was under the impression that the RMG board had been taken over by the Monty Python cast.
(Must say it can be quite amusing reading these posts when there’s nought else to do)
Very interesting update from CWU today and some of the actions they are taking. Their thoughts on what the business are now doing was also very telling IMO. My views on what the business should have been doing are well documented. Lots of comments about volumes going through the roof, busier than Christmas, triple the volume of packets. The comments are there for all to see. My wife spoke with an ex colleague this afternoon and she confirmed volumes are very high and spoke of extra collections being put in place for some of our largest customers.
I can see why agency are being brought in to supplement and fill any gaps. Less than 2 weeks into lockdown and people have obviously switched dramatically to online and I think it would be a fair assumption that this will continue to increase as this lockdown progresses or is extended.
I can't recall exactly what stream of traffic mentioned earlier in the week by Terry P was being diverted to us from Amazon ( perhaps the initial tests? maybe some can confirm?) So very much more than BAU for RMG which is bringing real pressure on the front end teams. The CWU have also issued H&S messages to the members but clearly saying they are not in anyway intended to encourage any unofficial action. I t was also mooted on the session that the CWU maybe organising a vote of no confidence in Rico B next week. Hopefully everyone can stay safe and healthy over the coming days and weeks. GLA
