Valleyman, when you post: " too hard bitten to allow myself to get my hopes up with RKH",
what you really mean is that you're "too hard bitten to have any imagination".
I think it’s a case of chicken and egg. They put a well respected guy as COO, this will encourage investors.
These guys know what they are doing.
Thanks to you Paul and Deus for brilliant reporting! It's very encouraging. This may indicate that Navitas are facing a receptive audience for their fundraising.
He seems very well respected, i imagine the big earners in the industry will take positions in the next weeks and months.
I agree that single digit bargains may not be available for long. I'm still averaging down, so will take another 100k now.

It may break the 10p barrier today.....buying sub 10p Is no brainer.....NOTHING WITHOUT RISK.
Good morning all
Don't be childish harp, now trying to justify your previous stupid post, broadcasting that you don't understand what RNS is about.
I was thinking the same LaticsRule, but why would RKH have to give share options to a Navitas hire, maybe we will hire someone at RKH to work alongside him, hence the need for options. Watch this space!
LTT
I’ll check but thought I remember the mention of a Share Option being part of getting him onboard ?
He has a school named arter him in Stockton, so he can get one going on Falklands too.
Name is familiar. Wonder if he worked at ICI?

Sound advice, let's hope things are starting to move in the direction.
Whilst another interesting piece of information there is still a long way to go. I can remember excited announcements in the past of hiring Jungels and it led to nothing. I want to see real world developments in the FI, too hard bitten to allow myself to get my hopes up with RKH. Stay grounded people.
Last SL update;
"Rockhopper Exploration plc (AIM: RKH), the oil and gas exploration and production company with key interests in the North Falkland Basin, is pleased to announce that all regulatory consents required for the transaction between the Company, Harbour Energy plc ("Harbour") and Navitas Petroleum LP ("Navitas") as announced on 19 April 2022 (the "Transaction") have been received from both the Falkland Islands Government ("FIG") and the UK Secretary of State. As part of the Transaction, FIG has agreed to grant a two-year licence extension to all the licences held by Rockhopper in the North Falkland Basin. Accordingly, the licences will now run until 1 November 2024.
The Transaction remains subject to certain other conditions but is expected to formally complete during Q3 2022."
So why shouldn't Navitas hire a new COO to lead the Falklands charge? FIG and UK Gov have given regulatory consents, what would they back track on "Certain conditions" which must be a shuffling paper exercise more than anything, they wouldn't have agreed to consents if there was any concerns about the finer points!
Anyway, If they go back on their word to allow Navitas and RKH to steam ahead with development, Sam knows some lawyers who might take on the case!!!!! (god forbid!)

The F'd U means allowing an employee to pre announce appointment before confirmation of go ahead.
Either it's a con or it's signed off. If it's signed off it needs RNS to confirm.
They now look silly all round. Hope that's not it.
why o why do things need spelling out.
Boboil. Thank you for asking on my behalf.
Just seen the news as I was travelling (yes really) from Newquay yesterday and had a day off from reading the BB. Anyway I have an erection to deal with now and surely this must be double digits today!!! Onwards and upwards!!! The award could drop anytime soon but I feel the 60 day extension will be exercised but it’s still a good day for RKH and us long suffering holders. As someone once said the choo choo train is leaving the station….. IMHO DYOR. Just a gut feeling matey.
Sorry to bang on, but just in case some are disappointed by RKH silence, or feel compelled to have another rant about Sam and his scams, just to remind you that RNS announcements are essentially to announce specific things / events about THE COMPANY, which might affect the share price when the market opens. That's why most RNS announcements are published an hour before the market opens.
Yes, I know there are some RNS announcements during trading hours, but if you're that interested, you can research those for yourself.
In the mean time, given the above, why would RKH make an RNS announcement about another company appointing a senior manager?
"Noe let's see how Rock handle this one. It Must mean RNS today or they've all F'd Up!"
If Navitas have made such an appointment, why would RKH make an RNS announcement about it, other than to congratulate them?
I think it's misleading posts like that, which get everyone jumping around, to expect things which should not be expected.
OM award news must be the biggest example of that.
Good news, but if it was that certain the price wouldn't be anywhere near 10p.
Superb news! Thanks for the link. Old Rocky will be producing before we know it :)
It wouldn't be compulsory or normal I feel, for Rock to RNS an appointment of another company.
The COO news is out there and Navitas are not PMO'ing in the wind waiting for tings to happen.
SL is very odds on to be developed, and has been ever since Navitas signed the MoU,
investors have just been a bit slow believing it, that will change as Navitas crack on regardless.
Noe let's see how Rock handle this one. It Must mean RNS today or they've all F'd Up!
I think “Great News” is an understatement this is FABULOUS news! Navitas are not officially signed up and they have appointed a new COO, but not for the company, specifically for the Falklands. Anyone who thinks Navitas are going to sit on their hands once FIG signs off is living in cloud cuckoo land.
All we need is the FIG to give some tax break/incentives and this is game on. I wonder how long it will take for the penny to drop with the bigger players, to take on board that Navitas means business!

Great news, thanks for posting, pauldrayton,....see it as very positive, myself.
