I would nt rule out Partick Thistle being drawn in to the mix.
Did I imply that? I would have said it was a bit of sarcasm. I'm not sure if you have noticed, but they are unbeaten in five, more importantly winning last 3. The last 3 games they have been consistent. More belief in the team, winning breeds confidence. I said 'hypothetically'. I struggle to see why having the 2nd biggest payroll in Scotland, will hinder play off chances. Time will tell, celtic- certainly the current company- will always be 2nd best.
Amba, you implied the result would be the same as last season. As in the wee league team would overcome the big league team. What current run of form? Rangers have the second biggest payroll in Scotland.Rangers are struggling to finish in second place in the second tier of Scottish football. Yes,I do seriously think Rangers would have no chance against Well or Ross County in a play-off. H.
Who said it was ' a given'? You stated that any team coming up would be 'roasted'- strange term. Do you seriously think that, hypothetically, Rangers continue their current form and get to the play off final, they would have no chance. Maybe bravado or wishful thinking on your part. Who knows, maybe the team's you mention will not even be in the play offs, if they are playing so well. I say that without knowing or being currently interested in the relegation situation.
The only people making a song and dance about it are the anti brigade. No one I know even batted an eye lid after the game. I personally think promotion will be a game to far for Rangers this season, a season in the championship will more easily allow the some much needed restructuring. I also think the team will suffer at least one set back before the play offs. Scottish football and rangers will need to continue to downsize for a while yet.
That team had done their job, physically and psychologically.Job done, finito, endex, switch off till it counts-next season in the top tier. Motherwell have performed much better, and strengthened their squad since the new year.Ross County have won six of their last 7 games. Both teams performing well against much higher rated teams than Rangers have lost and drawn with this year,I may add.The Staggies only lost to Celtic to one big, flukey, deflection. In contrast to last season when Hibs stalled, then imploded, months before Hamilton Accies beat them. If you think it is a given the lower league team will win the play-off,dream on. H.
Mensch and SoF two city boys who spend all their time on shareholder website's. Have you ever heard anything so rediculous. Between them they have a total holding of 35p. They might work in London, but most likely in one of its favourite eateries where they get to ask people if they would like 'fries with that'.
Mensch will be banging on about the wonderful world of billionaire owners when the Toon get relegated next season.
Good boy. Now then, go and buy yourself a lollipop and go and buy some shares in this basket case of a club. I am pleased that, as, a shareholder, you are happy with a delisted club, lacking integrity, getting staff sacked (thanks to the boycott), and I am sure that you have been to school. Perhaps. This is a terribly distressed stock and the problems are not just the new Board members, who are crooks and inept, but, poorly educated, mob rule folks who live on a diet of the Daily King. A hopeless club, lacking integrity, class or dignity. The fans are even worse. Apparently, the other mob were called the beggars for, well, a Century. A poor club in the East End. That was Celtic. The real beggars today are Glasgow Rangers through appalling fiscal vandalism over 25 years. They have had the begging bowl out for years. Get over it. On a personal note, I wish them well, but anticipate administration under that crook called Dave King. The fans voted in a criminal.
Mensch your reply explains why i will miss this page so much. You know nothing about me but assume that i am a cretin because i support Rangers. You are clearly a big man in the city as they spend all day on websites like this talking garbage. Rangers have escaped the death spiral we were in two months ago and it clearly makes you and your chums sick. As a shareholder i feel in a much better place and will happily put in for the rights issue and sweep up shares at 20p, let alone 2p in the fictitious grey market. See you next season in the premiership and when you and SoF set up a isdx share discussion page look forward to chatting then!
80% vote for him as permanent player for next season .......
@cambridgeblue - "Didn't Vuckic play in the 3 straight defeats and 3 home draws ?" But scored in the draws avoiding defeats, and score winner in 3 games... you expose yourself - anyone who can score and play for the shirt is good in my book, you praised the expensive duds who could not win this diddy league. He is pulling us into SPFL more than any other player - and revelling in it. He will move to EPL and become a star - formed playing for us. This will put us back on map - way more than your King and his scams... which will see us back in div3.
@kamel17 - "The cloak of anonymity allows these brain dead morons to peddle out the same regurgitated nonsense multiple times each day, only interspersed with bigotry, insults and utter lies dressed up as "fact"" Nearly correct - stuzeeuk used same monica on his twitter page - allows us real fans to see his true identity as a trolling celtic fan. He removed all his twitter posts to hide these facts.
Of course it was irrelevant, that's why they put out the strongest team they could. And you are probably right about the current Premiership team hammering the play off winner- just like last season.......hmmmmm
Yes it was hardly a treble - Celtic have achieved a treble this season already - Legia Warsaw, Maribor and Inter Milan.
@SoF: under no circumstance did I imply you were a 'Rangers Hater' as you so eloquently put it. You don't need to give me a history lesson as I researched the stock before I invested and although sold the vast majority of my shares, still hold a modest and now worthless amount. I actually agree with some of your posts, I don't think the current board are the answer and myself and others that were invested at the same time did not want the board change to happen, once it was looking odds on we took our money and ran. My point earlier was that without a valid exchange a stock is only worth what someone will pay for it at that particular moment in time. One off market trade does not value the rest of the shares likewise. Unfortunately IMHO even at 2p a share that's overweight by about 3000%. Liquidation looms unless investment which was promised and has not been forthcoming so far happens soon. Anyway best of luck with the rest of your portfolio Regards
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/newcastle-united/11518197/Newcastle-supporters-plan-fresh-protests-calling-for-removal-of-owner-Mike-Ashley.html Now the Toon fans are starting a fire under him. Pass me the popcorn.
they have just won the league, celebrated and coming off a high. The game at Ibrox was irrelevant-to Hearts. Whoever comes tops, from the second tier,to go into the playoffs, will get roasted by either a resurgent Ross county or Motherwell. Anybody want to bet? H.
No one reads all your posts SoF, sometimes half, sometimes don't bother. I do like the pro-panda idea. A few of those po-panda's at Rangers and I think the mighty Gers would have romped to the championship title, as it is now, I think we will narrowly miss out, but hey ho. Maybe we can afford a few pro-panda's when the out of contract fella's get there P45's. As for the rest of your post its non-sensicle, I have never mentioned the former Celtic owner. I think you just made that up, just like the pro-panda's. All I ever said was, if Mr King only ever gets rid of the old board then he has done us all a favour. After that I could care less what he does. I think de-listing is bad for the company and a black mark against the current board, but I am not going to cut my wrists over it. I can see pro and cons to both approaches. P.S. no need to shout ...
Talking down the team again - how revealing.
Yet they haven't faced "legal action" - I think Mr Pardews actions have proved they were on the money...
THE DAILY TELEGRAPH IS BANNED FROM ST JAMES PARK BY ASHLEY. IF YOU READ MY POSTS TODAY YOU WOULD KNOW THAT SALIENT DETAIL.
CB - The answer to that is simple. They did not expect Mr McCoist to tender his one year notice which entitles him to £62.5K per month. When morale was at rock bottom they brought in Durie from the academy and gave McDowall the reins. They also elevated McCulloch to the coaching staff. They then had to defend a hostile takeover and could not focus on the team for a short period. They knew McCall was available but his experience at Motherwell was perceived as nothing special. McDowall would have been replaced in the close season and with the loanees they had thought they had done enough to deliver a squad that was good enough. McCall is only the interim manager and is being paid buttons. Hearts turned up yesterday in their flip flops and Hibs are in disarray, so try to gain perspective.
The Daily Telegraph is black propaganda yet anonymous anecdotes from well someone with a track record of calling it wrong is to be treated as gospel ? You are regularly found wanting because your arguments lack supporting evidence from credible or even quotable sources.
Propaganda.
