Storms clouds brewing for Mr Ashley ..... He really is a shy boy. They should have called him in at 3pm every Saturday till he was spotted at St James's park :-)
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-32144206 a company that was losing money, they now have the same company where the debt liability that had been incurred has gone." "At one level, to use a technical phrase, this all looks well dodgy," he added.
I think we will be selling season tickets over the summer - we will be fine. Oh and the rights offer when shareholders can invest - not before mind you - wait for the rights issue. Stop listening to deluded bigots like ill Phil - or your pretend cover as a bear might be exposed.
Still no trades....
Down another 2.5p http://lmmx.co.uk/companies/profile/rangers-international-foofball-club-plc/
@cambridegblue - but your hero (Mr King) ran 40 companies in SA... was it not childplay to find one that made a legitimate profit......... but no - you cant find one cos it seems his money was made in a massive share sale.... so you attack me - not the arguments I make, pmg now reports that Mike is moving and that TLB don't have sufficient funds to survive a few months...... that Ashley owns "Rangers" name, and brands, and assets. This is awful.... and yet all you can post is tripe.... guess your pr script ran out...... yet other posters can rip your claims to shreds.....
Easdales and Lethlan made loans without any interference from SFA - why would they stop King making loan... this *******s! only cb says king cant invest due to sfa - others say cos king has no cash....
stu hints Europe 3+ years away - but its only 1 year - we could win or be in final of Cup next year - and if against team who qualify via SPFL then 2nd in cup will enter Europe in 2016/2017 - so we could be back in Europa (£10m) in 14mths... as ever celtic supporting troll does not know what he talking about.
@cambridgeblue - "But of course the man who ponied up his own cash for more shares than anyone else must be skint - its the only logical conclusion..." yup he made £42m in shares - then fined £40m in tax case - now has £2.5m to spend on 15% shares - very odd how it fits the pattern - he only has £2m.5 left - how to make this grow by 10x..... would a share scam not do that ? if someone makes £42m in a share selling scheme... why wont they try again... worked last time. You need to show that the £42m king made was made by a real business deal - not leaving shareholders stuffed. Ashley made billions - cos he floated a real business that makes real profits for shareholders and himself.... he does stuff competitors and people he owns money to ..... but he does make money more legitimately then king.
Stu - That is fine perfectly understood. It is going to cost money time and resources to get rid of Ashley and the onerous contracts and your view is that there is a good chance the club will be in the Championship 2015-2016. With your plan for admin that means a further chance of a stint in the championship in 2016-2017. So we are looking at 2017/2018 for the club being in a position to attract half decent players to a first season back in the Premiership and presumably be trying to tempt back the 20k that will have lost interest in 5 seasons of lower league football. However revenues will be down and the cost of running Ibrox and Murray Park will still be around the £13m per annum. Is this closest to the Paul Murray Plan, the Dave King Plan or the Douglas Park Plan?
@ stuzeeuk - "I was referring to the legal intricacies of extricating themselves from a web of onerous contracts. " But contracts entered into freely by both parties without legal representation on one side ( remember Wallace review - contracts that were onerous, and entered withoyt legal considerations) !!!!! - wont be easy of cheap to exit from - that's the point - Ashley holds brands - anyone can buy them back at a price !!!! If Ashley owns "Rangers" name , and brands and assets - then this is immune from admin/liquidation After admin - any new company/club would need to pay to use any of these elements - even being a club called "Rangers" ..... So admin is a red herring - it just dooms us to other year in championship - and damages the game and sponsors etc etc Rumours elsewhere Ashley will walk away for £27m - that's his price - ... now that's below kings £30m - so wheres the issue..... pay it and lets rock and roll..... oh wait Llambias said "wheres you money"....seems king might be skint ...... so now he needs someone else to pony up this Wonga (joke here)... who... yup us mug fans... again. We told L&L and his board bad by stu/cb - that we needed change ( now stu wants admin - more change ) - wow that lasted just 4 weeks.... stu the celtic troll - who wants us in admin .... yeah right! pr - is just wasted money.... no real pr from new board - as legally not allowed to say any much....
BMc9749 - or that he may invest in different ways depending on the SFA outcome. If I was putting in big bucks I'd want a say on the board - if not permitted I'd want my proxy and perhaps different conditions attached. But of course the man who ponied up his own cash for more shares than anyone else must be skint - its the only logical conclusion...
There is no legal reason why DK can't invest now even if the SFA/SPFL deem him not to be fit and proper - that only stops him from being a director. The fact that he hasn't/won't, implies that he doesn't actually have the money available that the claimed to have and he is totally reliant on OPM.
No not at all, that bit appears straight forward, however, I admire your ambition Wottpi, the club, the company owns play in the championship, not the premiership. I think it will be more than 12 months before they make it to the premiership, and much longer before any meaningful European match. If these players want to play in Europe they will need to go on holiday. I was referring to the legal intricacies of extricating themselves from a web of onerous contracts.
Stu - by 'complicated' do you mean as in a 25 point penalty being applied for a second insolvency event within five years, thus making euro glory and the associated cash a distant dream?
I personally think Admin would be the best thing for the stock. Sell more stock to existing shareholders, pay off Ashley, then go into admin to eliminate the onerous contracts, terminate the partnership with SD and trade your way out. I am sure it would be more complicated than, but in broad terms its seems like the best way out. Would probably need to happen at the end of next season.
Regardless of the SFA's role, King can invest can't he? Just not as a director. And even then, he'd de a director of “the holding company for the Scottish football club 'Rangers'" so not entirely sure how that plays out. Either way, he could easily "invest" by substituting his own loan for Ashley's one. If he wanted to... (the cruel might insert a lame gag relating to him "selling out", but I'll resist...)
The SFA won't prevent King - it's a lot chaff being sent up to make it look like they are actually checking stuff for once.
have to agree with cambirdgeblue (shock horror) dave cant just invest a loan - as the SFA may apply a fine like with Ashley... of circa £7500 ... and sounds like king does not have that either.... lol - so we may go into admin cos SFA don't allow king to invest... this is a joke @cb !!! you believing spin too much... King said he had £30m of kids inheritance.... spend it now.... ???
Whether I agree with that or not it's clear there won't be an announcement until DD tells PL to clear DK. As the transfer window isn't open yet I see no need to panic for a few more weeks.
For a stock that is delisted and no longer trading there is a huge amount of unhealthy obsession and, dare I say it, hatred towards this company that still pervades on this board. What an odd bunch of characters.
Do you actually believe that, Cambridgeblue? To me, that statement looks risible and is a good reason why the official site is the last place I would look for enlightenment.
http://www.rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/item/8912-football-number-one-investment "“To respect the processes of the SFA Dave will not be investing until we have him cleared by the SFA. "
Aqua - you should try reading the official site occasionally.
