Morning all.
Yes, Morning JL. I agree with all you say. The only thing that has been pointed out to me by those cleverer than me is that a) I didn't know until a few minutes ago that MPE seems to be in play what with £4m traded today; b) if MPE is in play, and it seems pretty obvious it is, although I can't see the reasons for it, there may be some read across to us here, but I wouldn't expect it to be a big read-across, just few pence maybe! We'll see. Fingers crossed.

Morning nobull. Absolutely it could happen, I suffered something similar a couple of years ago. My bone of contention is the mrkts reluctance to equate the Co value to the stratospheric palm price, I mean they should be co dependent shouldn't they? Your well made points are a concern which some investors have picked up on, especially a cheap MBO or worse taking the sp down into the 30s. I'm thinking I could be better off elsewhere.
Do I have faith in this board to act in shareholders best interests? Er, no! Which is another reason I have reduced c.90%. I have kept a few on as a just in case basis.....that my fears are overblown but on balance despite the 'assets' case there are no compelling reasons to hang about.
Yes, JL, I can't see any reason to stay either. Brave of you to get out. I'll give it a bit longer, but lots of questions come to mind to ask at the AGM. The assets are very good, but the finance structure is extremely risky. The question on my mind is whether the major shareholder is happy to let the value of the ords be destroyed by lower palm oil prices in the future to make a derisory offer to take the business private with a different finance model.
Shore Capital is maybe an example of where the directors simply in effect took the company private right at the bottom of the cycle - er, yes, it is still listed on the Bermudian Stock Exchange but value was destroyed when the company de-listed from the UK, enabling the directors to pick up loads of cheap stock. Fingers crossed this isn't the aim of our BoD, here. Hopefully the BoD will change the finance model but there are no guarantees.

Morning all.
PS. Trimmed a few more today. Losing of course but wtf its been a loser more or less from day 1. My interest now is at the minimal level so as to waffle here on a daily basis....just c.1000 left which would hardly pay for a good wk end in my local with a stale burger and fries, a bottle of cheap plonk and a couple of dog bets.
I have flown the frying pan into the unknown and with my abysmal record of stock picking its bound to end in disaster. I will keep you abreast of events...
The minute REA goes up 1-2 that will be the best sell signal of the last year imo. Thing is can it go up 1-2? I'll take it as whatever the results these are going nowhere, the opportunities for others to bid sub 60 have been many and no'one has dared put their hat in the ring, hell why should they given cpo is likley toppy and the Govt will move the goalposts on the tax and levy brands to strangle planters into subjugation ( kinda like now) and then there's that monkey on investors backs...
I said I'd wait till results but tbh may just as well get the hell out now for nothing changes here apart from more debt being lined up and gratefully given! See if I'm wrong!
Hi Caravanboy, trust you are well. Matsuyama was on my list of 10 to back, whittled down to 4...dropped him off as I usually do with winners. Collected with place money on Shuffles and Spieth to make up for losses on Morikawa and Westwood.
Must'nt complain came out in front for a bloody change.
Morning

Japan has over 2400 golf courses and c.10,000,000 play golf though the nos have been dropping due to the prohibitive costs.
