I see 2024 being a year of gains for QLT.
1. This is an election year - so there will be more people wanting advice ahead of a likely change in government.
2 SJP is in disarray…..there will be advisors and clients looking for a new home.
3 Management is confident
Let’s hope they crush this short position
A 16% rise inthe dividend is areal sign of confidence in the future business performance….this will be rewarded as the analysts do their work
Will have to see if the weekend press report any story.
Could just be expecting decent results next week.
Is the market thinking QLT will need to compensate clients for past service failings?
Results in March will need to make clear what QLT situation is.
Market is appreciating the results.
A more positive picture….but one quarter does not make a trend.
I predict a lot of business for financial advisers this year from affluent customers wanting to protect themselves from future government actions while allowances are still present / generous.
Maximise Pension and ISA allowances, IHT protections. CGT planning.
This short position is working very hard for next to nothing
It’s t’other way round…..quilter client funds own 5% of the em trust.
Just issued an RNS owning up to having acquired 5% of Quilter (apparently in various guises). Confusion re: 1) recent broker cut the target price to 70p as he reckoned there was more (costly?) reorganisation afoot and 2) an Emerging Markets Trust buying into a UK company? Are we now a second world country?
Still bouncing off the 200 day ma. market's not convinced yet. may at next resullts?
All coming together nicely here
Right noises from Board Room the market likes to hear
Quilter Market Cap cheap as chips
Will not be long until we see over 100p here again :-)
Agreed 👍 SUFC!
Think there may be a few more to come which could see this back over 100p
I have bought and will add at anything under a £. Money will flow back into the markets sooner rather than later and Quilter will be a big beneficiary of this.
After the 10% rise this morning its still only at 1x NTAV. I've bought a few
Including the 25% uplift in dividend
Sadly looking at charts is History
Personally I look to the future here
I bought in for the nice yield and a possible take over
This share is a 130p stock all day long IMHO
Share has plumbed new,all time low recently, which is very bearish. Rally today , has merely matched early July top. There is 3 months of overhead supply just above the price reached today. Overhead supply has to be overcome before a sp, can rise, and is not positive for Quilter, outlook.
Topped up at 82.28p :-)
Natural born winners pick winners
Just wait ;-)
Blimey
That was a well timed buy.
Just bought in here at 0.88p
I just feel Quilter shares at todays prices are a bargain IMHO
