haggismchaggis1 - Wrong country, not much pint sticking a link up to Hinkley point when comparing to Mexico. To be honest Hinkley should be built anyway. Its not the best idea to build a nuclear reactor on sand, especially when the rest of it is on granite..
I don't think it's worth spending any time comparing MSAR and nuclear.
A few MMU's and some bioMSAR looks far cheaper to me.

How long does it take to build a new Nuclear Power plant (including the standard 10 years of delays), and how much does it cost in the end?
Time and Money that Mexico won't spend.

How long does it take to find a suitable site and to build a nuclear powerplant?
By not burning fossil fuels for electricity.
How does that cure the air pollution?
"They know the cure"
It's to keep the refinery going full time, for export only and have nuclear for their own power needs.

Due to an environmental contingency in the Metropolitan Zone of the Valley of Mexico, some measures were decreed that will affect operations in the energy sector.
The Megalopolis Environmental Commission (CAMe) informs that Phase I of the atmospheric environmental contingency due to ozone is maintained in the Metropolitan Zone of the Valley of Mexico , in order to reduce the population's exposure to polluted air and the risk of affectation to your health, as well as to reduce the emission of pollutants.
Therefore, the "Miguel Hidalgo" Refinery in Tula, Hidalgo, will not operate at more than 75% of the total process capacity, reducing the combustion capacity in direct fire heaters and boilers in process and power plants.
In addition, the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) must apply a 30% reduction in fuel oil consumption at the "Francisco Pérez Ríos" Thermoelectric Power Plant in Tula, Hidalgo.

The MSC Leandra schedule is now showing arrival at Dalion on Saturday 2pm with no further destinations afterwards. This must confirm the drydocking is at Dalion as we expected.
It is all very very frustrating but this is also why the share price is at 1.6p. Imagine if quadrise actually deliver on a contract or two the share price could go bonkers. If a contract was sorted for morrocco and then a couple of places in the americas and MSC were to take on the fuel what price would we be looking at then? I have no idea but would be pretty hefty no doubt.
Totally agree Vince. The new Kuwait also. The Americas possible projecta will just fizzle out over time.
That's me back from a week away from the world of QFI and happy to see uptick in SP, ignoring of course, the fake £1 "anchor" trade first thing this morning.
To avoid me needing to scroll back through pages of comments, can anyone enlighten me as to the reason for this rise? if there is one...
46G the Americas is the new JGC Japan. Trot it out at updates and AGM's.
I will be very interested to see the cash balance and current burn rate on the next update.
Below from May 2022 update:-
· Discussions are underway with several candidate sites in Panama and Honduras for MSAR® and bioMSAR™ power plant trials later in 2022.
So we all get very excited looks like this is moving ahead with speed and then…..
January 2023 update
· Americas - Quadrise and its local agents are actively pursuing trial and commercial supply agreements with candidate power generation clients in Panama and Honduras and are in discussions with a large refinery in the Caribbean in addition to ongoing efforts to progress activities in Mexico during H1 2023.
So for the new shareholder this has happened numerous times get excited about an updated RNS confirming something is going to happen then we pass the deadline NO news then we hear the deadline has moved with no real explanation what has caused the delay

How QFI are not riding this wave I will never know, but of course we could have tsunami any time soon .

"Some have speculated that this might be shortcut somewhat by having the same supplier for MSC and OCP"
MSC made an announcement recently, I'll see if I can find it, that included what I saw as a very pointed statement about bunkering requirements which I read that there is no supplier as yet and there needs to be. However I don't think a supplier is a hurdle there. If MSC says "we need to buy this product and it needs to be available in these quantities and in these locations", oil majors will be queuing up. It's literally what they're there for.
"That too, but we’re not expecting crude oil assay results from Morocco unless we’re drilling for oil."
True. These so-called trials in Morocco are barely anything. Certainly it isn't a deal that hinges on whether MSAR works there. It works. The deal hinges on something else, probably various politics and decision making trees that I'm not aware of.
Morocco trials are very simple, I seriously doubt it will take months of data trawling. How many dollars of fuel were required to get the product to required dryness; was the equipment undamaged, and were all operational and logistical aspects conducted successfully.
I personally expect that commercial negotiations with customer and supplier will undoubtedly take a good while. Some have speculated that this might be shortcut somewhat by having the same supplier for MSC and OCP, but I guess it's too early to know how likely that option is.
Will be interesting to see what they have to say for themselves tomorrow (or shortly thereafter).
"I think there will be a lot of disappointed holders if the trial has not started yet. Personally I am confident it has started and that the assay results will be announced soon."
If the trial has started I would assume there would be a gap fo several months between the end of the trial and the results announcement. Trawling through data to completion doesn't tend to be an instant process.
That too, but we’re not expecting crude oil assay results from Morocco unless we’re drilling for oil.
Assay…”the testing of a metal or ore to determine its ingredients and quality.
"submission of plate for assay"
Are we making fuel or drilling for metal ore? Just wondering.
On 23rd Feb we were told :
As a result, the Company is now finalising the trial schedule with the client and anticipates fuel trials to commence prior to the end of Q1 2023.
I think there will be a lot of disappointed holders if the trial has not started yet. Personally I am confident it has started and that the assay results will be announed soon.
