Very similar with some minor differences, but mainly different people funding it. Perhaps the original one was being delayed and then BH jumped in to fund it themselves.
Here is the one I was thinking of.

Hi Dr -H, yes and there is another similar to this that has been updated recently but not on my p.c. atm to provide the link.
I wondered, because of the date in the link I posted, whether it may be the trial starting up again after Covid.
Just a guess though.
Primary sponsor:
Dongzhimen Hospital Affiliated to Beijing University of Chinese Medicine
Source(s) of funding:
Self-financing
So it is not a By-Health study.
This is very good. It shows that the aim is to use FF for primary prevention.
Gix,

Whatever the cause, excess myocarditis is a factor worthy of much discussion. The US bloggers are all over it, but it seems big pharma were handed a free pass.
Then again, Bern says we have to accept the science, gawd I wish I had a quid for every time I've read that.
"The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing" Albert Einstein.
" If its settled it isn't science, and if it's science, it isn't settled" Michael Crichton
excess deaths in the run-up to Christmas were a fifth more than the five-year average. Slightly less than 5x more
I should add that I am unvaxd it is the vaxd that gets cv19 more than once from my observations. Excess deaths now 5 times higher than at the height of CV19 but the MSM are ignoring it .
I haven't had cv19 , I take FF , Chlorine Dioxide in a nebuliser if I feel I might be getting a cold and I take Ivermectin once a month 12 mgs and ZInc and Vit D vit K2 . People getting it now are reporting it is just a bad cold even so I don't like colds.
Sure, lots of studies to be done, but IF's priority is to get FF to the masses so they can make their own decision.
btw .. Some of the dark lord's views are not so controversial anymore !!

It’s not new, but does show companies putting an effort in.
Perhaps, but, as with most things scientific these days, someone who raises a matter which doesn't conform to the "consensus" is subject to a quick pile on of disapproval. His paper is out there, and there are a number of others who are reporting on the adverse effects, and seeking an explanation of the higher than normal incidence of cardiac inflammation.
The argument has rapidly vanished that the stuff is fully safe in all circumstances. Whether or not it will be proven to have been more bad than good will not be obvious for years IMHO.
With Fruitflow, every single trial has not thrown up any side effects at all. I really appreciate that.
Re Malhotra Alf
I suggest you read a critique of his views at
https://sciencebasedmedicine.org/the-aseem-malhotra-lecture-isnt-what-you-think-it-is/
Obviously there's a possibility, all be it small, that he's right, but the vast majority of the scientific community believe he's wrong.
If we accept the science behind Fruitflow, perhaps we should accept the science behind the things Malhotra is arguing against as well ?

Not sure what this one is about because, as you see, data is limited. It is to do with B-H & FF though.

I had Covid during the spring of 2022 and am a regular taker of Fruitflow. However, what is quite interesting is that I was forced to stop taking FF prior to surgery and I actually contracted it during this period.
Watched a Youtube interview with Dr Aseem Malhotra recently. His studies of Covid treatments, and mistakes made during the pandemic, is fascinating. It strongly suggests a mindset of greed by pharma, and many medics, means that they give little regard to efficacy, and far too much emphasis on profits. It's sad, but I do think that individuals should always study their own path to general health. Isn't that why we all chose to take Fruitflow in the first place, and lots of us have experienced really important benefits.
The early studies by Duttaroy always seem to be followed up, like the TMAO one. Somebody must be following up on blood pressure and Coivd 19. I would guess BH for Covid-19 as it represents a huge opportunity for them.
gixer,
I think with current COVID situation IF could convince ByHealth to do such a study.
I fear the funding of such a study may be a little beyond our reach ATM.
However, it wouldn't surprise me if By-Health had something up their sleeve.
"COVID-19
Fruitflow was recognised in a review article by the Frontiers in Nutrition journal
www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fnut.2020.583080/full in 2020 which stated that nutraceuticals such as
Fruitflow may serve as: ‘A safe antiplatelet prophylactic treatment for those at high risk of COVID-19 who may also be at increased risk of thrombotic complications and an alternative to pharmacological compounds that may cause greater risk of bleeding.’
A review article, titled ‘Platelet hyperactivity in COVID-19: Can the tomato extract Fruitflow® be used as an antiplatelet regime?’ www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0306987720333715 was published in 2021 by the peer-reviewed journal Medical Hypotheses, a leading journal which advances new discussion and innovation in medical treatments.
The article was written by Professor Asim K Duttaroy, the original inventor of Fruitflow, and Dr Niamh O’Kennedy, Provexis plc’s Chief Scientific Officer, and it concluded with the suggestion that:
‘Consuming Fruitflow®, especially before or during the early stages of COVID-19 illness, may have an effect on the severity of illness experienced. It may particularly benefit people who are more vulnerable to the development of endothelial / platelet dysfunction. It is a safe dietary antiplatelet and should be investigated as a potentially useful intervention for prevention of thrombotic disorders in COVID-19."

BB,
I agree with you. We should approach IF to take a study about it.
I know 4 people who take Fruitflow daily. They've all had COVID at least once.
Incidentally, it's thought that of the 10 to 15% of the UK population that have never had COVID :-
A bit less than half of them have had it, but were asymptomatic so didn't know.
Most of the rest of them are assumed to have some immunity from, presumably, other , non COVID-19, Coronavirus infections.
Could Fruitflow help prevent infections in some way, or at least mean asymptomatic infection is more likely if you're taking Fruitflow ? Stranger things have happened, but you'd need a big retrospective study on it to throw any light on it.
If anyone's serious about it, I'd suggest taking it up with Ian Ford. After all, he has a list of regular subscribers ...
BB
Family have all had it but not me .
