Longwait ... You along with other site members seem to take offence against anyone who has opposing views to this share
Get over it Lad.
(ranger4)
You are misrepresenting what I have been saying completely.
You cannot produce a single post by me in which I said that Barryroe is definitely going ahead and everything is going to be fine.
You, on the other hand, have said in post after post over a long period that Barryroe is definitely not going ahead, is a dead duck, etc.
While I have been reserving judgement, you have been presenting your own doom-laden speculations as absolute certainties.
For example, you once started a thread entitled '10-20 dollars per barrel soon', 1 1/2 hours after commenting, 'barryroe wount ever produce oil or gas on a commercialy viable bases.'
An objection to other people holding a contrary view has never been one of my objections.
When I wrote to the administrators about TheShen ...
'When a member is allowed to call investors 'idiots and clowns,' call the company's management and associates crooks, call the company in question excrement, say that he enjoys seeing investors in it lose money, accuse me of trying to suck in new investors to cover my losses, and then compare me with the leader of the Third Reich for calling for him to be banned ...'
... I wasn't complaining about his holding a contrary view to my own.
The fact is that in spite of your denials, there is an obvious association between you and TheShen.
Here's an exchange between you and TheShen about one of TheShen's aliases:
I believe Longwaits advfn post very fair ... (ranger4)
I agree ranger4, the *longwait* on the other board has a very fair and balanced viewpoint. (TheShen)
Are you seriously suggesting that you didn't realise that TheShen created the longwait on advfn?
Is it just a coincidence that longwait on advfn used the same imagery - of flogging a dead horse - as that used by you and TheShen?
'I believe the Shen could very well be correct...' (ranger4)
You just happened to agree with TheShen and his alias, longwait on advfn, and you thought you ought to let us know that you agreed with them?
TheShen was in the habit of holding conversations with himself - and everyone on this board knows it - in one case running to 21 out of 23 consecutive posts between him and p5tvr.
It's obvious that the two examples I gave above of your exchanges with him were simply cases of someone talking to himself.
You predicted that the PVR share price would be 'sub 3p soon' and elsewhere have written sub 50p and sub 120p for other shares.
Is it just a coincidence that two of the TheShen's aliases, vampirekitten and rbonnier, use the same expression - in their case 'sub 100p' - ?
Is it just a coincidence that rbonnier also uses the expression 'flogging a dead horse'?
I'm gratified that you now accept that at least some of my 'equivalencies' are plausible, ps.
I regret to have to inform you, however, that over on SOU, where we have also exchanged greetings, not only is your adversary there - Sharetrader123 - really TheShen, but so too is oilpimpdxb.
Like TheShen, oilpimpdxb uses 'clowns' and 'turd' and he also uses the same 'timber' used by other aliases of TheShen .
rbonnier, catswhiskas, wolfsonshaz, chimpeska, and oilpimpdxb all use 'timber.'
Some coincidence?
That's not quite correct, ps.
ranger4 created a new thread with the title 'out' on 9 February 2018, containing the words, 'Best of luck to all pvr holders,' implying that he had sold all his shares.
Several months later, however, on 17 October, he was writing as though he was still a shareholder:
'Sp consolidating before next leg above 18p.' and
'16p hopefully now act as support.'
Just six days later, he had changed his mind yet again:
'i expect we could see further large declines for pvr'
Just a week later, he had changed his mind again:
'Profit taking after recent spike over now SP should start climbing back to retest recent resistance.'
Just six days later, on 7 November 2018, he announced that he had sold all his holdings in BIRG and reinvested in other companies, including PVR&LOGP!
One month later, on 10 December, he had changed his mind again:
'i now believe the likelyhood of barryroe getting the green light and goahead for development very slim.'
Nearly six months later, he told people not to waste their money on PVR and described it as a dead donkey, without however saying what he had done with his holding.
Three months later, he announced that he had lost a boatload by investing in PVR.
Eventually, he announced that he had sold 90% of his holding in late November 2020.
LONGWAIT, there is no doubt that your lowercase namesake on advfn is a troll, probably TheShen. Maybe some of your other suspects too. You've just cast your net too wide. Ranger4 is an actual shareholder who sold most of his position back in the spring, with every right to be disgruntled. Anyway, enough said. My main concern is spammers posting twenty times a day and making the board unreadable for the rest of us. Can live with the rest. Best of luck.
I will disregard your remark about hysteria, PS.
As far as the remarks about my being a believer in the company and having faith in the management are concerned, it's strange that it seems to have escaped people's notice that I have NOT said either that I am a believer or that I have faith in the management!
You seem to be submitting the fact that at one time 'ranger4 actually posted positively about PVR' as evidence that he cannot be TheShen.
That argument doesn't stand up.
ThenShen and p5tvr (on LSE) and TheShen againagain (on advfn) are all pro-PVR, whereas TheShen (on LSE), p5tvr (on advfn) and longwait (on advfn) are all vehemently anti-PVR, and have routinely subjected shareholders to verbal abuse of the crudest kind.
TheShen and p5tvr once had a conversation on this very forum which occupied 21 out of 23 consecutive posts.
The same person then created a new identity, ThenShen, to take the place of p5tvr and spar with TheShen.
I'm sorry if you can't see the truth when it stares you in the face and if you can't appreciate the value of literary criticism.
The evidence that that person has been using multiple accounts is overwhelming.
It used to be talked about quite casually on the other forum.
Indeed, a contributor to the other forum by the name of Zephra once came over here and pointed out that TheShen is the same person as bones 698.
When I then compared their comments, I noticed that both TheShen and bones698 have used the unusual expression 'sad really'.
If you think that's a coincidence, then that is really sad!
That same individual stole my username and used it on the other forum, posing as a woman investor in this company and implying that she was I from this forum.
Anyone can check these facts for himself.
I think that any objective observer would be impressed by the sheer number of examples I gave in my post of three days ago.
The probability that they could be explained away as coincidences is infinitesimally small.
You really are being 'led down the garden path' if you think that it's just a coincidence both that TheShen and ranger4 both used that expression and used imagery about dead ducks and dead horses.
Finally, your remark, 'the greater likelihood -- which you don't seem to have considered -- is that TheShen deliberately obfuscated by emulating other posters' misses the main point, which is that I have provided evidence of similarities between posters - more than 20 posters - and they are all linked.
Both vampirekitten and rbonnier have written, 'Man the lifeboats !'
with a space before the exclamation mark.
Both vampirekitten and rbonnier predicted that JOG would fall 'sub £1' within three days of each other.
Are you seriously suggesting that one of them copied off the other, quite apart from TheShen supposedly copying other peoples posts?
Don't you see how farfetched that is?
LONGWAIT, I am sorry to say that you are starting to sound hysterical. Every poster's posting history is free for every one to view. Ranger4 has been a member on this site for a dozen years, and has posted very constructively on quite a number of companies. He hardly needs me to defend him but he doesn't have the slightest resemblance to our erstwhile troll. And why dwell on the similarity of a common two-word phrase when the greater likelihood -- which you don't seem to have considered -- is that TheShen deliberately obfuscated by emulating other posters?
Back to matters of substance: ranger4 actually posted positively about PVR two or three years back. He's not the only one who has been ground down by the management's abject failure to progress the drilling of Barryroe. It is now over six years since O'Reilly had a near shouting match at an AGM, insisting that he was working his a$$ off and had almost concluded deals on four previous occasions. Not only that, but there were four very interested parties in the data room at that very moment, presumably drooling over Barryroe. Yeah, well, we all know the subsequent history.
PVR have given absolutely no reason to place any faith in any management at any time. The latest fiasco is just the latest in a long line of fiascos. We have absolutely no idea where the company now stands. The only ray of positivity I have is that the idea that Linn left because of a survey result is conspiracy whackery. First, the survey hasn't been done yet, and second, it's a seabed sonar survey -- absolutely diddly squat to do with anything under the surface.
I'd probably only be about 75% as negative as ranger4, but I do basically agree with him. Barryroe is an asset with tremendous promise but strictly speaking it *is* unproven. PVR's number one hurdle is finding anyone willing to punt on a tantalising prospect, who isn't either dead set against fossil fuel investments or running scared because of the current Green political scene.
' pvr a dead entity'
(ranger4)
'Ranger4, you sound just like our ******ed entity who has thankfully vanished...
Why bother saying anything if ... you know ... Barryroe is a dead duck?'
(Manyana)
ranger4 sounds just like TheShen because he is TheShen.
He wrote 'dead entity' because, as I pointed out three days ago, he has repeatedly called Barryroe a 'dead duck' and TheShen provided a link to a picture of a duck being strangled.
Similarly, ranger4 has used the expression 'flogging a dead horse' and TheShen provided a link to an image of a man flogging a dead horse - again, in both cases the dead horse being PVR.
As I also pointed out, both TheShen and ranger4 have used the expression, 'led down the garden path' - insinuating that the directors of this company have been deliberately deceiving its investors.
I'm sorry to disappoint you Manyana, but TheShen is still on this forum.
What a pity with oil over $85.
Manyana As equal members on this site we all free to post up withinn the site rules what we like you are possitive on pvr i am negative.
Stupid thing put the message up twice.
Ranger4, you sound just like our ******ed entity who has thankfully vanished.
Where did you get your information regarding Providence and by the way there is 340m barrels of oil in Barryroe. Barryroe is not new. Marathon found it first many years ago but oil then was "too cheap" to develop it and it has been subject to numerous seismic studies since so there is oil there. How much can be questioned but the best independent minds says there is substantial quantities of oil there.
And now you tell us that Linn, departs suddenly with the message "Providence is now well placed to progress the Barryroe project."
Why bother saying anything if a) you have got the boot b) you know it is going to fall flat on its face and Barryroe is a dead duck?
As Dylan Thomas said about those departing "Rage, rage against the dying of the light, Do not go gentle into that good night." But Alan Linn has gone "gently" so he has no axe to grind so why tell a whopper before he left and just go instead?
exactly right toroil,
O'Reilly had a two year rolling contract which means he got at least one year's salary when he left if pushed or one year working out his notice.
I am sure Linn had a similar contract so his sudden departure asks a lot of questions.
It is also possible, of course, he has health problems necessitating such a move. He would not be the first in this day and age.
Next call the survey followed by the Financial Review which will give a good idea of how the road maps out.

Game up for pvr
Barryroe an unproven asset with no serious entity willing to stump up funding to develope morso due to a awoke/green appeasing cross party irish gov, pvr a dead entity not worth throwing hard earned into this pos.
Most senior executives would have termination clauses in their contracts to protect against an untimely departure. I'm sure that would have to be reported if it was the case.
There are two ways to read the situation here.
If Linn jumped ship unprovoked, probably the game is up.
On the other hand, if he was dumped, someone must have a plan.
Remains to be seen. Hard to believe the assets are really worthless.
