Alphavulture.com worth a look
So the countdown to june is on hopefully some info on what the offer they will make regarding the money back will be in the coming months . On the positive a lot of sells over the last few days and the price has remained relatively stable.
Cash return? Any ideas how much is to be returned??
i think were going to be off to a flyer if they were winding up i think we would see major figures leaving the company for bigger and better things. time will tell 8.5 hours and counting
Must say I really don't have a clue what they will give us tomorrow, but just hope it's welcome by the market. This could fly with a good statement & we will know in a few hours. Anyone else got any thoughts? GLA for the morning!
So its the big day tomorrow anyone got any thoughts or suspicions on how this may turn out. Hopefully cash conservation has gone well and a nice return is to follow
maybe glitch somewhere http://www.4-traders.com/PV-CRYSTALOX-SOLAR-PLC-4007055/news/PV-Crystalox-Solar-PLC-PV-Crystalox-Supplier-Agreement-16543606/
Notwithstanding Arab;s comments - surely this will only lead to takeovers and rationalisation among all the producers in China - resulting in even cheaper production costs. Against this continuing backdrop can PVCS realistically compete on any level - or is the best we can hope for a reasonably efficient winding up of the company without "disiipating" cash whether to directors, employees or elleswhere. Fingers crossed there is at least a little scope for some share price increase if only based on existing asstets, or are these overvalued?.
http://www.examiner.com.au/story/1363594/no-rescue-for-suntech-chinese-officials-say/?cs=9 Should be very good news for PVCS Also lots of investment in Middle East into solar power now. Saudi Arabia and Qatar especially. Qatar will host World Cup and need to power big air conditioning systems during matches to keep fans and players cool. Solar powered air conditioning will be perfect.
you would assume westhouse can do something their current financial adviser can't
Maybe it means they are winding down ready to sell off or return cash ?
I cant really see the downside at this price apparantly they have around 50 million quids worth of assets as well as the 122mil euros in the bank or whatever it was, only negatives are possible redundancy costs. lets hope all their staff were on their 6 month probation period.
Well we will find out very soon what their plans are the dividend/ buy back as they will tell us in the 1st quarter & we will have a choice to make in the 2nd quarter. 21st seems like a good time to tell all. My feeling here are their could be a special dividend spilt over the next two years. They did say they wanted to keep enough cash to keep the business going, but do have tens of millions to please the shareholders if they wish. I bought a lot in the 40's & 50's, but also 25p and 3p so my average is just a couple of pence away & here hoping for a exciting ride up over the next few months. IMOH and good luck everyone.
I think they would like to hold on to this cash as they will still need to recover from the chinese dumping of pv pannels. Their CFO seems ti think that keeping the cash in the business is best for now. I think from next year they should start rewarding shareholders with some money. I think they have struggled for business this year again. But they will recover.
Came out of pfd so probably cant do much worse
Results on the 21st so hopefully as bit of good news bought back in here on friday albeit a small amount hope to come away with a small profit GLA
This share will go up imo. The Eu investigation into chinese solar pannels is going ahead so will be good for their pv pannels and sillicon wafer business. I for one am getting in here next week. The duties that they want to impose will be backdated to march this year. so i think that the sp will go up quite soon once all get wind of developements. GL or should i say enjoy the ride!
Just come back on here to see, like Speedmobile, if PVCS are going to pony-up any time soon. They are sitting on all that cash, I am sitting on quite a loss due to fall from 65p! Time to div up PVCS!
Dos anyone know if this is still an option. There was speculation last year that the co might pay out a special dividend as they had large cash reserves
Some quite considerable gains in the spot price, also notice that suntech is have all manner of problems after being alleged of fraud see articles below http://pvinsights.com/ http://qz.com/60554/twist-for-suntech-chinese-solar-panel-maker-facing-possible-bankruptcy/ Surely if their struggling and looking to raise cash they may increase their prices to increase margin.
So the Eu are thinking of registering solar panels from China.(http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/02/20/us-eu-china-solar-idUSBRE91J15V20130220) Probably will go through. Bad news for installers? Perhaps less volume sales of pv pannels in europe cause of price hike that will follow. Thoughts anyone?
