Glad to meet another KL shareholder here. I have been one since the early days and still holding - this company keeps performing!
Fair point. The 30% dividend yield is applicable for shareholders who have held from those days. I was trying to make a point about holding PUR for the longer term.
Zeratul; I hold KL but this statement is misleading; "KL was trading at less than CA$3 back in 2015 and now trades at over CA$60 and now delivers a 30% dividend yield". I know most folks will know where you are coming from but there are those who might think 30% of 60$ is a no brainer !!!! Just saying ! ATB.
A good place to look for promising shares is to listen to sprott weekly wrap.(every friday). There is one share that could explode this is sar who research cures for cancer. Lth's some who have been holders for over 10 years state sar has some very promising drugs which major drug firms are very interested in but as always do your own research.
zeratual -sounds like you have good knowledge on tsx listed resource stocks?
perhaps you can give some heads up here if you come accoss stocks of interest?
I think it is worth clarifying that a return on an investment in PUR is dependent on what time horizon you are looking at. If you are looking to trade and make a quick buck, then this is not the company for you as this is something you should have done 6 months ago.
However, if you are willing to wait for the company to reach its full potential, then things may turn out very differently. I do not look at the short term volatility in the DXY, which will no doubt temporarily affect the gold price because in the medium to longer term, we are in a solid gold bull market which is likely to last for several years if you look at both the fundamentals and technicals.
KL was trading at less than CA$3 back in 2015 and now trades at over CA$60 and now delivers a 30% dividend yield. If PUR was to expand the resource base (which I think is likely over the next 12-18 months) and once they drill further into the 8 zone next year, then I believe there is no reason why PUR cannot be a 5x from the current market cap especially as it expands production capacity. The main risk is that the Oxygen group decides to sell in the next 2-3 years, which is a possibility which could limit the upside.
Novagold owns 50% of Donlin gold deposit, which is huge but it is in the middle of nowhere in Alaska and as far as I understand not near term production and has a market cap of over CA$4.6 Bn. Another good example is Wesdome Gold mines, which can produce c. 100k oz p.a. and has a resource base of 2.7 million oz (M&I) and has a market cap of nearly CA$ 2 billion.
Trek, this is a bit off topic but what's your take on GRL if the good assays results and EP lands shortly? What's the potential for SP on that do you reckon?
I think you will see £2 here after pour irrespective of DXY which is proving rather resilient even against cable. Gold and USD are safe havens in troubled times, one can now make an argument for the previous diametrically opposed relationship to decouple.
PUR is a boring well run growth play that will be throwing of cash as dividends in years to come.
I have many speculative positions in mostly Junior Oz miners + a couple other safe jurisdictions. When I sell them or top slice I tip the proceeds into PUR. £2 is fine on a metric basis but this ain’t gonna do a five or ten bag. That lower risk is part of the attraction.

In these uncertain times the share price certainly could turn, hopefully for the better as I have a significant holding; however, should the DXY regain strength and the price of gold (POG) decline, PUR would most likely decline as it is well priced for an explorer, (I think production might even be priced in to an extent as markets are always forward looking). With an election just round the corner, Covid 19 still spreading and the stock markets (particularly USA) looking top heavy there is much uncertainty in the markets and markets do not like uncertainty. Therefore, short term, I am sure the volatility will continue and the POG may drop significantly but long term I am sure that the bull market in gold will resume when the future looks more certain. I offer the following only as food for thought as it might interest some folks. I have invested in STX as a hedge against things not working out as hoped for with PUR. Like PUR , STX has a lot of upward potential and much of that potential could be achieved before year end. The STX price has fluctuated much the same as PUR even tho' they are in completely different sectors but, in my humble opinion, STX being in healthcare might just be less of a risk. I always worry when I see folks mentioning Sprott and Rick Rule; they may well be experts in the trade but it is also their business to get people invested in precious metals. I believe Eric Sprott has admitted that he is no longer an investor but a speculator; there again he has made his fortune and can well afford to speculate! Good luck to all who stay in PUR through to production, I certainly will.
Time is to sit back or take advantage when possible. My largest holding!

Same here Brookstreet. PUR is by far my biggest holding.
As Rick Rule says, a bull market has a knack of bringing as few people as possible for the ride. Most importantly, 90% of the gains is made in the last 10% of the rally! So hold on tight to your shares and you will all be rewarded handsomely in due course.
KUMS , I do see you on twitter flying the PUR flag , like you my biggest holding , surely a nice break out due for us soon .
to Blue shortly imo. Gold to break $2000 and it could be in December during our gold pour!
Nothing hedged so nice big income!
Still my biggest holding!
