' He probably is of the same view as me, it will pass'
Based on today's SP movement, it passed quickly. :)
And Directors when they paid themselves the cheating bonuses should have the SOCIAL CONSCIENCE to weigh up that what they are doing is WRONG v v where the money has come from, the misery getting it from tax payer has caused , and the vital for country projects that have been forgone. They didn't - I OBJECT. These people need psychological testing IMO in the same way that benefit cheats might and why is lack of intelligence not monitoring their every move?
What is very tiring is the realisation that tax payers are being ripped off and vital things they want to do (green energy, education, technology) with money denied them. Also the builders, landlords , crown estate having been bailed out most cynically by political system (with no strings- surprise, surprise) then have cynically refused to put their hands in their pockets and very substantially invest. This imo is beyond disgraceful/shameful and why i for one could no longer respect landlords/royals/property lawyers any more in 21C. I think we all know their answer to environmental/technical issues is to run off with as much money as possible for their own property portfolios and then try and make money from any resulting hardship on the population and increase their power in society (going off to pray in fancy buildings? and hope the people forget the parable of talents?) Or pander to suppliers of old tech and old energy who just happen to buy weapons (just be careful at the visa centre)
As said before answer is 50% repayment lien on assets of big landlords and crown estate so people can have the financial power to build the assets they will need for the next generation. i'd rather make a good start for them. I was not born to boost the financial power/political influence of the big landlords. BBC will probably never get to bottom of it. Again i ask have admin of crown estate paid themselves bonuses or increased wages? Why did elite volunteer no pay cuts post 2008? Why is a culture allowed permeate our country such that big landlords don't have to contribute money or effort (and are allowed cripple tax payer if they want). THIS IS WRONG. The arrogance of directors in this co. and others is also a function of this. Why do landlords think they have a right to run off with all the tax payer money and delay progress by not giving it back/been made to repay it/investing themselves after being unfairly propped up
Thanks NigeW
TMT, thanks for the link. I did see that. I'm not surprised Jenkinson hasn't issued a rebuttal. He probably is of the same view as me, it will pass
'Exetrchief, Are you saying PSN are not insured?'
Doesn't matter what he's SAYING, what matters is the facts. Trying to pin him and his mate down (if they aren't one and the same) on any actual facts is impossible. Assertions all over the place, nothing verifiable.
Anyway, regarding FT, I'm glad it was mentioned, I forgot to post the link to this. https://www.ft.com/content/a8098858-9e39-11e9-9c06-a4640c9feebb
It's basically what I've been saying all along, the company is going to be positioning itself as refocused on quality control and customer satisfaction. Everything since Jenkinson took over is going that way. Whether he will truly succeed in not only changing the culture but also the public perception of that culture remains to be seen, but there's no doubt that he 'gets' it. He knows what needs to be done and how to go about it in turning that around.
The response to the program was, I think, excellent. They could have talked about how 'this isn't fair to the efforts we have been making to change this.' That is for another day, because changes they are making for future sales don't help the people on the program, do they? The only thing you can really do for those people is apologise and set them right. An unreserved apology is exactly the right response to that situation when you are trying to remake yourself.
Looking at the SP right now, it looks like the market has basically shrugged and said, 'Yes, we knew all that.'
I still say sometime in the next year, maybe two, Jenkinson is going to start to appear in puff pieces in the press about how he's turned PSN into a beacon of corporate responsibility after the bad old days. The SP may get a boost depending on what happens with Brexit, but it probably won't really go until the optics improve.
Hi Chitty
Best to ignore him. Prev message claimed £350m for 3,500 homes for 1 Hours work (=£100,000 per hour). Doesn't say which legal firms, don't know what he bases increase of 500 houses to 4,000 on, multiple legal actions? Govt action?
Last point Per < 7 means Imho psn share price should be double what it is now. Even if No Deal Brexit (so nobody wants to buy houses any more?), psn will lay off subbies and sit on land bank until things pick up again (like they did last time).

Exetrchief, Are you saying PSN are not insured?
Happy to do that:
"Persimmon retreated ahead of a Channel 4 TV documentary on the housebuilder's quality problems."
As I said, not a lot!

FT as no say, legal firms recommending buyers to avoid PSN, the program I did not see, would not have touched the £350 million costs of putting in fire barriers in houses across the country, that PSN refused to disclose the total amount over the 4000 known about.
PSN will not be able to cover the costs of multiple legal actions started by buyers and notified to the UK Government help to buy scheme, which will put restrictions on PSN

I am not registered on FT, can you copy and paste those 3 lines here please.
Three short lines in FT today about programme and its effect on SP. More or less dismissed it
