"Value is subjective" Is it though? Value is an evaluation based on measurement. Subjective means based on or influenced by personal feelings, tastes, or opinions. They seem like opposites. The expressions of so-called "value" on here seem to be based purely on gut feelings, and vague "research" which seems to involve no facts or figures whatsoever. Terms like "innovation" and "momentum" are mere buzzwords which don't differentiate the company from any other, and they do not help to determine value. So probably best to stick to terms like "I guess", "I'm just taking a punt" or "I have hunch" rather than pretend you have done any calculations, projections or research to work out potential value. To decide whether there is value here you need to have at least a range of possibilities about when it will breakeven, assuming it will not be perpetually loss making.
Value is subjective and usually based on future potential and forward earnings, and this comes back to my post regarding a lack of trading information from Blue Prism. With only 6 monthly trading news (interim and final results) - past performance is the only measure we have, with some weight given to the much higher share price of a few months back. I also think broker ratings are unreliable with such a volatile share price as Blue Prism.
Basically you either believe in the ongoing advance of the company and its software innovation, sales momentum and expansion or you don't.
People talking about "value" here make no attempt to value the company at all, in terms of revenue, profits, dividend, competitive advantage, or any other measure. Unless you can estimate when it will make money, and how much, it doesn't seem sensible to talk about value.
Given the scale of the rise my guess would be some news may have leaked out. No RNS though so just a supposition at this stage.
I have held and traded this share since £7.00 a couple of years ago.
I'm still holding and keen therefore to see a price rise.
But I can see no reason for this rising now .
There is no change to circumstance that I can see (and I agree it has been a 'value' buy for too long).
Either we're not being told something, or it is day-traders chancing their arm and trying to influence less experienced investors.
:)
what warrants this rise?
Myself and Joatman have been pointing out how cheap this is and it can rise as quick as quick as it went down somebody knows something I would not day trade at the moment you won't get back in hold tight and enjoy the rise.
Very strong Buy....
Here it goes breakthrough the £10 lets see it go to £11 now.
Joatmon, good post totally true you and me can see the upside here but it would be nice to have a regular update on progress,
Let see the £10:00 breached today I can see it on a upward trend from here I am long on PRSM I have a sell price and it’s a far way off where it is now,
At this level I consider Blue Prism as a strong buy - however it is difficult to judge the progress the company is making due to the very sparse trading reports - basically we only get the interim and final results. This lack of information leaves investors in the dark - I think this situation is unhelpful and it holds the company back.
