Boomtrader1973 can you give advice on how investing through your isa works. I’m a novice in investing in shares but am keen to understand how to benefit myself and not the taxman. I have an ISA so do i top it up and use this money to invest.
Any help greatly appreciated
Wahey, wrong bb. However still applies as most of my prem is in taxable accounts.
Robro, sadly most of my ujo is in taxable accounts. Hence I am happy to make trading gains, within annual cgt allowance, and raise my average thereby, hence lower cgt at endgame. Of course if you never sell, you never pay.
In the tree house, Tarzan tells Boy, "Son, its a jungle out there."
Anyone not using an ISA needs to sort one out straight away. The strategy I have used is to trade throughout the year through my normal account and then sell in April and rebuy into my ISA everything that I want to hold long term and dividend stocks. It works for me.
All my trading is done through my ISA now Funds, trading and longer term holdings like you say why give the tax man your money. When I said I also used my wife's allowance still 80% in my own :)
Got all my prem in my isa. Built it up over the years and years lol tax man isn’t touching a penny !
Thanks will look into that, especially if this looks like 1p this year.

ISA is tax free but not SIPP
Thought about it but don't you pay tax when you pull the money out... My Investments are split between myself and the wife though.
Not thought about putting your investment through ISA?
Over the last 6 years built up a fare few £$££$£ in both my wife's and own ISA allowance.
Tax free :)

Daz, can't sell any until the start of the new tax year....10% profit and 20% tax doesn't make sense.

As someone who has topped up big time with PREM over the last few days, I am not troubled by the volatility of the last 48 hours!
PREM is massively de-risked now in terms of the following :-
Lithium prices high for the next few years and significantly higher than when the Zulu / EPO area was acquired.
Pilbara Minerals is the prime example of the least we can achieve and that's just on Zulu, forgetting the EPO
Pilot mine is on course to make PREM cat profitable from Q1 2023.
EPO has historic successful gold mining from a couple of decades back.
The breadth and depth of expertise is being beefed up with the BOD and senior management team.
Best wishes to all.
Michael
correct Daz. RNS will be put out before the interview. Taht means there's one day more for this to "climb" before then or fall...looks like it's not reversing back up and we all know what happens when the RNS comes out....jsut saying guys...don't get suckered in
Shiny, i actually don't have a sell target, there is too much untapped potential here to establish that yet. Let's see what happens with zulu amd how PREM deal with EPO. But totally respect anyone's choice to sell oit at .5, 1p or whatever.
Mcgee, hey, if you can make that work for yourself fantastic. I do swing trades once in a while, most positives, others terrible, like XELA where I have become an eternal bagholder. But if you got the smarts and skin for it, i applaude you.
Wolf, you have an incredible average, you bought at the lowest possible point, hats off you you sir! I am at .255 but no worried as i am confident 1p is achievable within next 12 months.
And think of all those locked in profits wolf if you skimmed 10% then further loaded dips......
Averaging down has been king for me.... If this goes to 2p that's 400k for a 10k investment:)
Wolf
Profitbags, with that handle you must do ok,I do understand, the bottle part of your strategy
It’s about for me picking the right co to trade with and if that co has a 99.9%of attaining their end game which I think prem has, then in my eyes it’s safe to trade, as with all these types of company’s there is alway ups and downs (opportunity to trade) study scotgold for example.
Yeah, I'm the same PB, we all have our sell figure though.
I never cared who trades and who invests, each one is free to do whatever they want with their money. I know i have never sold a share.
But i do recognise that i would have made more money trading this. But i don't have the ball$ to do so as i would be afraid of missing out. Especially now with all the flurry of activities on the ground, with my luck i sell at .4 and then it explodes to .5 or beyond LOL
It’s your choice, a good friend once said to me about 10 years ago don’t you fancy trading on the
Aim market I gave it some thought and decided to give it a go, he also pointed out that trading was different from investing he showed me the difference, I have been trading ever since, Prem
Has been a god send the king of trading companies,, I call it the hoky coky co.In out shake it all
about. Buy sell,,buy sell, wonderfull co. To trade in, follow the last 7 year partern.
