I can pull up copies of their website, but not the CPR yet...
Yes fastnet page appears dead.
That does answer some of my thoughts though. As with most of the older wells they were looking for oil. Was the oil seeps part of a later surface survey? As I remember Grf1 also having condensate and gas. Wonder if they are expecting a liquid rich gas at mou-NE or dry gas…..
Hi Vegas,
You hit the nail right on the head.
TAF-1X was looking for Oil, not gas, gas has never been reported, even in the 2012 SLR report, no mention of gas only Oil seeps around the well.
However the RN has stated Gas shows in the Jurassic, so my point is how do PRD know about this without having inside information from other sources. ???? (IMO ConocoPhillips) unless of course we have re-entered the well on the quiet, but more than likely we have been privy to the log results at some point.
As for the actual 2012 report, it has gone from online viewing unless anyone has a new link.
AIMHO of course.

Wacky.
Curious line Wacky ...
"Offset well TAF-1X to the east has reservoir development within this target interval and gas shows in the lower part of the Jurassic".
Curious because the expectation is that the area around TAF-1X was considered to be an oil play rather than gas.
From the (fast becoming famous) Pathfinder 2012 report ...
Particularly interesting is the abundant seepage in a large area around the TAF-1X well which appears to be oil rather than gas. The anomalies cover a larger area and have higher oil concentrations than the anomalies elsewhere. These surveys confirm there is an active hydrocarbon source system in the basin.
It can be argued that TAF-1X is the only well drilled to date that targeted the right Jurassic sequence and this missed the target....
The report is heavy on info from ONHYM. We know that Phillips drilled TAF-1X. So what indeed has changed and why ??

Wacky, do you have a link to the pathfinder SLR? Mine isn’t working anymore for some reason and I wanted to check something.
I don’t remember much data for TAF-1X being available. So to know depths, composition and potential reservoir sizes they must have been able to get hold of something that’s not in the public domain. Again delays with other projects have helped them focus on an area they may have initially passed by and reprocessing of seismic (Similar to the mou-4 find during Covid). Drilling to the Jurassic and Triassic has not been reached with previous drills so will definitely be testing new ground at Mou-NE.
I did have a look at new prospective areas that PRD may explore after the last rns. One was to the north east of Morocco and the name of the basin escapes me now but I did find a good resource on the web. Think it was on the Onyhm website…. Very useful reference and a wealth of information. I was starting to get a bit lost by then though…
Morning all,
A very good update if I may say.
The big comment for me was TAF-1X
Offset well TAF-1X to the east has reservoir development within this target interval and gas shows in the lower part of the Jurassic.
Depending on well results, up to four wells would potentially be available for rigless testing to provide economies of scale (firm being MOU-1 and contingent being MOU-4, MOU-5 and/or MOU-NE).
We are planning to drill Two further wells, so is TAF-1X the well in question as per previous RN :
"Evaluate opportunity to complete an existing well for gas production in another basin in Morocco".
https://www.lse.co.uk/rns/PRD/operational-highlights-and-placing-3n4acjtqzj8qpcf.html
We know that the Guercif basin is superimposed on top of another basin, however if this is not the case and it is a completely different basin in question for a well completion, it does not really matter, because the important fact is , as per the 2012 SLR report.
"Oil drilling commenced in 1972 when Elf drilled GRF-1 followed by Phillips who drilled TAF-1X in 1979".
So where ?? did PRD get the information from to be able to make this statement ?, because we haven't re-entered this well.
"Offset well TAF-1X to the east has reservoir development within this target interval and gas shows in the lower part of the Jurassic".
ONHYM or CONOCOPHILLIPS ???????
As per my previous posts, I believe all the drilled Hydrocarbon wells in the Guercif basin apart from GRF1 are under tight hole status, so some entity must be providing insight and guiding us in the right direction.
The presentation should be very interesting.
AIMHO of course.
