There are people who get paid to post on these boards and there are people who have been burnt before.
There are also people who will claim to be genuine and have an agenda to try to manipulate the SP, for perhaps a lower entry point.
Unfortunately, money brings out the worst in some people.
DYOR and make your own judgement calls.
So it begins like I said the madness of the board as new clashes with old. Traders losing short term gains seeing the sky and screaming its falling while the LTH see 100% drop. Watch as the new members not really doing the proper research come out with fun and games as they try to lower the SP. Enjoy the ride gents and take notes of the names who spout rubbish and there history.
morning all

I was Geschäftsführer in Germany for a couple of years...based in Frankfurt
and still have several friends there who I talk with monthly
Horses mouths told me of the outages...
there are also many technical articles on the matter ... (Not from the biased stopthesethings)
Good luck with your research

I don't really think anyone on this board or indeed most of the world are overly bothered about what Russia has to say about anything. Nord Stream does not make sense politically or financially, renewables and nuclear are the future. I hate to say it but gas is a 20-30 year sticking plaster . Gas makes sense as a transition fuel but spending countless billions on infrastructure to use it is madness.
We need russia to have a strong army to counter the wests aggression. Remember it was cia snipers that destroyed the democratically elected gov in the Ukraine and they did it because they'd voted pro russian.
Now they have fascists runnig the country provoking russia into war most likely because russia stood up to them in syria.
Do agree norsstream 2 being cancelled is good for prs but not so sure about it being good for the the European peoples despite the anti russian propoganda on the british msm.
They mentioned that recently on Sky news. Let's look at Ukraine and see what is going on there. You don't want to be financing Russia's army further.
Also America who administration after administration have been pressurising Germany over this. Germany and Europe with current circumstances have decided the US is not so terrible after all. They really don't want to antagonise America under current circumstances. The penny is finally dropping in that neck of the woods.
Do you think it may have any effect on somewhere as far away as say Ireland?
Has anyone read today’s Sunday Times??!
It looks very much as if ...following the publication of their manifesto ...
the German Greens ARE INDEED in the ascendancy
Please see page 18 ...today’s Sunday Times.
Their Europe editor, Peter Conradi, says recent polling puts German Greens on over 20 percent (as high as 23).
If that translates into actual votes...
then he thinks it likely they WILL get into coalition government....
of course, their power as King Maker will be very great
IE it looks as if Nord Stream 2 is a gonner...
and that is without the pressure already exerted by Biden
It was only the other day that I posted the following note here...see in triple brackets:
(((
OK
This is it...very brief
As most know, the German elections are just around the corner...
September this year
It will be the end of the Merkel era.
Well...here is THE THING...
The German Greens have just published their manifesto (yesterday's FT)
AND it includes a commitment to ENDING GAS IMPORTS VIA NORD STREAM 2.
Try rolling that around in your mind very slowly
... ENDING GAS IMPORTS VIA NORD STREAM 2.
Of course..
The next German government is likely to be a coalition ...
again , we know that
The Greens seem very likely to have a big role in that coalition
So...
there will be a potential "king maker" party in Germany ...
a Party that is COMMITTED to ending gas imports from Russia.
Did you see the images of what happened in Germany this last Winter...
when all the wind farms failed ?
and solar proved inoperable too?
Now...which country sits at the furthest reaches of the European gas supply chain?
Which country will need gas for at least the next 10 years?
Hmmmm
If I were responsible for energy security in that country...
I would take that threat seriously
and look for ways of boosting alternative secure gas supplies.
Maybe I might also consider exports revenue too re surplus supply!
I would also be aware that, should gas shortages in Europe occur...(clearly, they WILL)
I would have a stronger case for requesting solidarity and support from my European friends
if my country had implemented existing European guidelines on gas storage etc.
